This truck is located on Kingskanyon street and it's always at the same spot. It is at the bad side of the town but we wanted some pupusas and since the other place didn't make the pupusas the way they always did. We were disappointed. The service was quick even though the young lady that took my order was kind of unfriendly. I ordered a dozen of cheese and beans pupusas. They came with the obligated pickle cabbage and the red tomato sauce. The tomatoes sauce had some kind of plastic flavor. It didn't really taste good. This was my first time trying this food truck. As a Salvadoreña, I'm also looking for that authentic, fresh taste in my pupusas. I ordered two pupusas: Revuelta (pork, cheese) and Queso con Calabaza (cheese and squash). With Curtido (cabbage) and Tomato Salsa. Typically, revueltas come with beans but that has not been my experience in the Central Valley. The pupusa masa was dry. The revuelta was my least favorite of their pupusas. The queso y calabaza was ok in flavor but still dry tasting. I gave them the most stars for their curtido and salsa. Both were pretty good! I had a co-worker bring them to me so I didn't get a chance to see the ambiance of the food truck or if it was chill. Typically the street they are on is pretty busy. Regarding the service, i didn't get to interact with them but was told the staff was nice and friendly. Overall, I'm not sure that I would return to this food truck to be honest. Really good! We got the Pupusas with frijoles and carne asada tacos and a coke. All of it for $15, $2 being a card transaction fee so bring cash to avoid it. In my opinion, the tacos were the start. Very few places in Fresno that serve Pupusas but these hit the spot. They accept debit/credit cards for a small fee. We got a few revuelta Pupusas and they were very good. Good flavor in the salsa. We got a chicken tamale to try and it was delicious. Different than Mexican tamales as they're wrapped in banana leaf but they were one of the best I've tried. I would actually rate the tamale higher than the Pupusas. Got a side of rice for our toddler and it was very delicious. AMAZING pupusa's! Their curtido is great as well and the salsa lacks spice but pairs perfectly with the rest of the flavors. Nothing a little tapatio can't fix. They reheat well and they offer a deal on larger orders for families. Something to keep in mind, they aren't open on Monday's or Tuesday's so it's a total bummer but the food is great. The pupusas are fairly priced at 3.50 each. The curtido is crisp and tangy, just as it should be. It's a perfect complement to the delicious pupusas! The salsa also gives it a nice spicy kick. Excellent PUPUSAS!!! Best in town. I have not tried anything else on the menu but the pupusas are on point. They are made from scratch good size and they taste amazing. I order pupusa reveuelta (chicharon, beans,cheese) the coleslaw (curtido) is so delicious as well comes with a salsa. I've tried a few places and this one by far is the best. The Papusas were awesome and that's what makes this place, four stars. Take away the papaya as and they get 1 Star. The plátanos fritos were a little undercooked for my taste and not caramelized. Happened to drive by and noticed the PUPUSA Truck!!! Had to turn back after our party to try them out. I was not disappointed. I tried their platillo loco which included (one Pupusa(choice of stuffing), refried beans, salvadorian creme and plátanos fritos(deep fried plantains))$8, pan con pollo $6 and some empanadas $5. Please see pics! The pan con pollo was a good size the chicken had flavor and the curtido was the coleslaw type, the pan was missing some sauce but overall it was great. The plátanos were fresh, the crema was salvadorian and the beans were very refried but tasted well, not too salty not bland. The Pupusa was a very generous size if you see the picture it was almost half the plate. Most fresno locations charge $2 per pupusas, they charge $2.50. But if they are all the same size that came in the plate they are worth it. I ordered the Pupusa revuelta and it was delicious! Generous amount of stuffing not too much masa and it was a good size. I would have to say it is now my top flavorful Pupusa in town. Beats my other spot I use to go to. The empanadas were a decent size and price, my husband ordered for himself and he said they were good. Overall the food was great, size and price was appropriate. Food truck so it was cold to sit outside, there was a couple of tables and chairs available and plenty of parking on street in both front and back of truck too. So have to say this truck is a gem.
