Skip this restaurant. I was driving by today just before 3pm and saw a sign "Taco Tuesday!" I thought... why not? Placed my order at the register to go. I ordered:. 2 hard shell beef tacos. 2 hard shell chicken tacos. Rice and beans. Simple... Apparently it was not simple. I received 2 stale cold hardshell beef tacos with no cheese. And two cold soft chicken tacos with no cheese. No beans and no rice. A comp bag of stale chips and red water with 1 teeny tiny sliver of an onion and two green pieces of what may be cilantro for salsa. I tried to contact them by phone to ask for a refund for the rice and beans. Busy signal. I kept trying. I couldn't get thru. I added my own shredded Mexican blend cheese to try and make the food have flavor. But there's no help. I just wasted $14.19. I won't be back. I caution others to do the same. See the pics and know the truth. This is one of the worst excuses for food I've ever been served. How can anyone treat paying customers like this and why do it? Is it a joke? I ordered takeout from here and they went above and beyond! I put on a note in my food to please include some shredded lettuce in my order if possible along with my sides and they did. Excellent place. Very average though. I thought for the value the price wasn't that bad. Very watery queso dip but the salsa was flavorful. Inside was dead quiet for some reason. The ambiance was fun though and service was great. Next time I come here I'd order takeout instead of dining in! read more

Even tho it was taco Tuesday I opted to or the enchiladas la crema. To my surprise it was served within 5 minutes of me ordering. I had asked about the refrained beans before ordering and they confirmed they were homemade and not from a can. They were delicious. The enchiladas were ok. I thought the corn tortillas could have been cooked a bit more. The customer service was great. PS: the salsa is a little bland but the do have a more spicy version. read more

We stopped in for lunch and it was amazing! The lunch menu had lots of choices and great prices. The food was great and came out hot.

We got takeout food from La Ribera and was satisfied with the overall experience. I got the Pollo con Crema which came with two sides for which I chose fries and rice. Overall the food was great and it was ready at a reasonable time. The prices were great as well. The food tasted good although lacked a certain level of authenticity that I got from other non-Greenville Mexican restaurants. This was a random stop for us, but the tacos ended up being AMAZING! They were just the right amount of sweet and spicy with plenty of cilantro. The staff were all so very kind and friendly. The chips were hot and we each got our own salsa bowl. The decor was heavy on the tile which felt a little like being at a spa instead of a restaurant. It certainly was calming though. read more

This particular location brings back a ton of memories. Since my undergraduate days I would frequent this place every Tuesday for their infamous Taco Tuesdays. If I had a frequency card for the times that I've been, I wouldn't even have a card left! The lighting is appropriate for the dine-in experience. The parking lot can be congested depending on which day you're visiting and what time of the day (they have different specials for each day). The exterior is always clean though, as is the interior. The customer service is friendly, and the speed of your order is quick as well. For instance, if you happen to go on this aforementioned Tuesday, they'll pretty much know that you're going to order those tacos and have those out within five minutes. I haven't had any outstanding issues with a server there but maybe once, and the manager himself came out to clarify on that particular incident. The food is always hot and fresh, and the iced tea is phenomenal. But I'm just one Yelper with one opinion. Try this place for yourself. Not only would I return, but I have, and will continue to. This is the second time I've had horrible service here and the food has been terrible. I placed my order on the phone to be picked up and when I went to pay for it they had no recollection of it even in the system. This isn't the first time this has happened. Was very rude and brought out 4 cold tacos. Me and my friend, went to celebrate taco tuesday and my taco wasn't correct plus very cold so I asked them to re-cook it and i'll wait but instead they sent over a worker to check on us that joked on us and than called the police to have them tell us to leave and to not return. Taco Tuesday, was a blast with the family. We got seated fast . It had to be at least 200 people in the restaurant. Our waitress had a huge smile. The chips and salsa came over fast . They were very tasty. We got drinks and our order was taken fast. I'm vegetarian so I got nachos and everyone else got tacos. Our food came out and the back messed up our order. It was fine because everybody was apologizing. They got the order straighten out fast. The food was good. I will return . We were seated in a booth and that was perfect. I work with a good buddy of mine, who happen to live around the corner from this location. He constantly rave about this place, and always bragged about taking off at lunch hour to catch "Taco Tuesdays" I can't quite remembered what this location used to be, but now it is a rather tasteful looking standard Tex-Mex restaurant. We came in right before the dinner hour, so not many tables were filled at first. All the staffs seems to be very friendly, and might I also mention quite authentically Mexican, since I actually had a hard time communicate with my waitress this afternoon; that, or my English (with Chinese accent) is really as bad as I thought it might be. We chose not to order any big items, and just got some tacos and tamales, thinking this should be sufficient in getting the idea, the effort, and the quality of this place. The tamale looked very nice, dare I say almost not made by hands; flavor is okay, and texture is solid. The tacos, we chose all their variety, were simply okay; The meat were very marinated, which is a good thing, but the tacos themselves were lukewarm at best; even though they chose a creamier variety, the cheese simply sit on top of cold lettuce. The queso was really good as were my boyfriend's fajitas. My tacos, on the other hand, weren't the best. I ordered a campechano, chorizo and steak taco street style but the chorizo was burnt, steak was minimal and the onions were just plain and uncooked. I ended up getting the taco salad. It wasn't the best meal I'd had, but it was still a decent meal. And it was pretty cheap. I definitely think we got our money's worth. I was still happy with my meal. It wasn't my favorite place for Mexican food, but I would go again for the convenience of it. I'm a happy regular. This restaurant is walking distance from my apartment so I am caught in there a few times a week. The staff has gotten use to me by now, so they are very friendly and some even know me by name which is awesome for any place to have that vibe. I love the food here so much. It's not greasy (like some other places in town) and it's reasonably priced. There is a special everyday they're open (not opened Sunday's) so make sure you take advantage of Taco Tuesdays or Chalupa Wednesdays! The owner/manager (not sure which) is strongly Christian. There is no alcohol/bar in the restaurant, they're closed on Sundays, and they play Spanish Christian music over the loudspeaker. I am not going to give it a less of a rating although this does make me feel uncomfortable as I do not identify myself as religious, but I overlook it because of the pleasant atmosphere and courteous service I am offered offset. You get a lot of food for your money and it's worth every penny. To me, they are the best Mexican restaurant in town. read more

The food here is very Americanized. I had ACP with shredded chicken. The rice needed more flavor, chicken needed for seasoning, and there was hardly any queso. I had to order an extra side of queso for my plate. The chips and salsa are decent. The red salsa was burnt and the taste was not good. The green salsa on the other hand was great, really spicy and gave my plate enough flavor to eat most of it. the food is 2-3 stars. But the staff: 5 stars! Really great waiters and serves. I came to this restaurant with my teammates as we played in an invitational league her in Wilson. My manager called in before hand to make a reservation for a lot of us and when we got there we were almost sitting down immediately. The waitresses were very nice here and the service was very attentive. I ordered the horchata for my drink it was great although I didn't get it at first. Beyond dissatisfied with this restaurant. It has been a tradition of mine to go to their dollar quesadilla night. My roommates and I went 11/6/19. When we were sat, we could visible see our server get upset she was taking our 5 top. We knew she was trying to finish her side work to get out and was upset she got our party. This happened as well when she got another party after us. She messed up 2 of the orders, but never checked up on us so we had to call over a different server. By the time the order was fixed, no one brought the food out. After an amount of time, their food was brought out at room temp/cold. Lastly my other friend found a small black hair in her food. All they did was take the one quesadilla off her order. There was no compensation: I am highly upset with this place. We could also tell that everyone was avoiding us because they did not want to help us. read more

My daughter and I had dinner here last night and even though there were several very large parties dining we were seated immediately and our waiter could not have been more kind and attentive. We went on one of the grand opening nights. Salsa was very mild with no heat to it at all. We were also a bit shocked that a Mexican restaurant did not serve alcohol. No margaritas or Dos Equis here. Enchiladas de la crema were ok. Sides were very bland. Mexican fried rice was just plain fried rice with no seasonings or veggies mixed in. My husband was intrigued by the "Mexican" mashed potatoes, but did not order them because the waiter informed him that they were just plain mashed potatoes. We were supposed to get 30% off our bill for the grand opening special, but the waiter did not take it off. Had to speak with manager and he would only offer us a $5 gift certificate and a t-shirt. One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. They have great daily specials like Taco Tuesday ($1 Tacos), and the servers are prompt and kind. The food is great, this isn't Taco Bell, the meat is high quality and the chips are fresh. They have a room in the back that easily accommodates large groups. They're closed Sundays, so make sure you get your fix another day of the week. read more
