Borracho beans, cheese enchiladas and rice
    Becky G.

We stopped here on the way back to Texas. Sometimes we take a gamble on where we are going to eat but I think that's the whole point in life. You never know unless you try it, right? This place was ok. They give you plenty of chips, salsa and a small queso for each person. We ordered the #1 (2 cheese enchilada plate) that comes w/rice & beans. I ordered borracho instead of refried and liked them. If you don't care for onions and tomatoes, like me, you just have to scoop all that out. There was a good amount in my cup but I know it's all for the flavor. Our daughter ordered the sour cream chicken enchilada plate and did not care for it. I had no idea but I think she just ate what she could handle and felt bad to tell us since we had already swapped out her brothers selection of bean and cheese nachos to just beans and some rice. Service was excellent.

We really enjoy this place when we're on our way to Lake Murray we stop here for lunch. They close at 3 on Sunday, we got there around 13 and they were very crowded. We were greeted as soon as we entered and taken to an empty booth. They got our chips and 2 kinds of dip-salsa and a thick cheese, and our margaritas came very quickly. We ordered the fajitas for 2. It is alot of food!! Everything was cooked perfectly. We asked for extra salsa. We had more than we could eat and they happily gave us containers to take it with us. I know we'll be back again when we're in that area.

All good, as always. Service good, meals good, nachos always a favorite... loved this place since 2007.

So good, we stopped by as we were traveling back to Texas. Honestly best Mexican food we've had in YEARS. 10/10. Good staff, good cheap affordable food. I got this plate for 8 bucks (already tore it up, my bad). Just stop and try it I promise you won't be disappointed. Good crowd too

I found myself in Gainesville... not a place I typically go on a daily basis. I needed to grab a bite, I needed to do it quickly, and fast food was just not going to work for me... Driving around I passed this place 2x times before finally giving up and saying to myself... "ugh... ok let's try it". Glad I did. They welcomed me in as if I was a regular there, someone that they see all the time. Not special in the slightest but also not a stranger in the least bit. It was comforting... homely... nice. The nice waitress provided me a menu, asked if I wanted a drink and brought over a basket of chips and salsa, both fresh and delicious. Found my way to the enchiladas and crossed my fingers. Within a few chips and minutes my plate arrived. Decently portioned and hot. Initial thoughts were "man, I'm hungry" and "that came quick!". It did not disappoint. Have I had better? You bet I have... was this good? Well... I finished it without complaint. Decent food, clean and welcoming, good price and a place anyone would be proud to say "I go to Mi Casa for Mexican food". Try'em... you may just be surprised.

It is a neat place inside but that doesn't overcome the shortcomings. I had Mexican food many times in the last couple days so I opted for the jalapeño peach pork chop. It was honestly tougher than leather- I really needed a sawsall to cut it. The flavor was fine. I knew I was in trouble when it arrived with a couple Libby's peaches fresh from the can sitting on the pork chop. My sides were tasteless mashed potatoes and steamed, mushy veggies. Chips and salsa, average. Queso with flavorless ground beef, average. My son had the birria tacos which were good. Not great by any stretch- it wasn't a traditional recipe and didn't have the traditional Oaxaca cheese. They used cheddar or another orange cheese. He said "good", I will call them "average": He ate all of the rice so it must have been decent. I didn't try a margarita but the ones I saw looked pretty typical for such a place big glass and probably average. I wouldn't eat here again. $50 for 2, no alcohol and I had water. We did get an order of Queso. There has to be better Mexican places than this nearby.

Everything came out quickly, and our incredible waitress made us feel genuinely taken care of!!! (I wish I would have understood and asked her to repeat her name because she is a true blessing!!!) The food and drinks were just as impressive. We ordered the carne asada along with an enchilada and taco combo plate, plus a piña colada. The carne asada was cooked perfectly and paired with charro beans that were packed with flavor. The chicken enchilada was delicious, and the beef crunchy taco added the perfect texture to the plate. The chips and salsa were some of the best we've ever had super fresh with great flavor!! And while the piña colada had coconut on the rim (not my personal favorite), the drink itself was incredible. We loved the atmosphere, bright lights, fun decor and had super fun photo wall in the entrance we loved! Overall, such a great experience.
