If they can keep up this quality of food and service, they will certainly be a success, even in a town not particularly location friendly to food trucks. Boulder has a lot of ordinances regarding these endeavors and rightly so in many ways. Pearl Street can not be clogged with trucks and the local businesses who have set up on the Mall at exorbitant rental rates need to have a fair chance to survive. But there is a lot of potential in the business parks and other locations the city is considering. The food from this truck might convince the powers that be! The thing that makes this truck easy to access and not just a random encounter is the incredibly detailed schedule and location calendar on their website. Do check it out and see if they will be near you. Not only are they doing lunch at business parks but they are venturing out to many breweries and events in the evenings, some well outside of Boulder. The lack of this has been the failing of several well liked trucks that I have tried to find in the past. An accurate and reliable calendar is a must. On to the food. I really wanted a savory crepe for lunch since they are not easy to come by in a casual lunch in Boulder any more. Today's crepe was ham, cheese and spinach. The crepe was freshly made to order, all of the ingredients were fresh, tasty and hot and melty, the crepe itself, perfectly browned but not tough or burned. Finding that point between under and over cooked is something I care about. This was just perfect. Wrapped in a traditional easy to hold paper wrapper, full enough to satisfy, but not drippy or messy to eat. The price was $10, but that included the tax, so I think it was fair for the serving. There was a simple dessert crepe for $7. They have several drinks available, all good choices with french food, several flavored Pelllegrino varieties, Perrier, and Mexican Coke. The most popular item being ordered by people in line today was the Croque Madame, a pretty big meal for a lunch for me, but I will find the truck on a day when I am super hungry and give it a try. Amazing temaki and an even better value…read more I had a chance to try out Temaki Tornado when they came to Rayback Collective in Boulder. The fish was incredibly fresh and the temaki rolls were huge! Got super lucky and they had fresh Toro on the menu, so I had to get 2 Toro temaki an done scallop temaki. Both rolls were made fresh and as I said above, the fish and scallop was super fresh tasting. With 3 rolls, I was incredibly stuffed afterward. Only criticism I have is I wish the nori was more crisp and the rice was better cooked, but for the price and the fact that this was all made in a food truck, I have no complaint. The food truck schedule is on their website as well as their regular menu, though it should be noted that they have a pretty sizable menu of specials when I ordered. The chicken was very very good. The seasoning was spot on and they developed on awesome char on it. They cut the chicken into strips and drizzled a homemade zesty sauce on top. They use chicken thighs which is my preference but to some may not be your thing. The chicken sat on a bed of really deliciously seasoned rice. They accompanied the dish with plenty pickled cucumbers and some fresh jalops. Every bite of this dish was heaven. Especially, washing it down to with some bomb beer from Rails End Beer company. The guys that run the truck are super friendly. I'm likely going to start craving this dish again soon and will be hunting these guys down. Wow bao!

TV's over the bar are impossible to watch from the bar if you're not an Owl and have a double joint neck. They're located at 90 degrees ABOVE the bar?? Owners have strategically placed the one TV in the bar over the sweltering patio to maximize glare, so nothing can be clearly seen. But good news: you can lower shades, YOURSELF to partially reduce the glare! Why can't management do it? Maybe they're not getting their cut from the $20/cheese burger?! Maybe they're too ignorant to know The World Cup Soccer Finals are playing? Atmosphere is horrible for watching sports. Prices are absurd, and service beyond taking orders is absent. Pay for a beer, then find another place. Better yet, just go elsewhere. Enter Passport Food Truck, a mobile kitchen specializing in worldly bites inspired by the owners' travels. Today's menu was leaning in the direction of Southeast Asia and the Mediterranean. Fine by me! I wasn't planning on having wings for lunch, but when I see them on a menu it's hard for me to resist. Plus, these were Korean wings with a gochujang glaze. Say less. Korean Wings ($12) // Fried wings tossed in spicy gochujang chili paste and orange glaze, topped with green onions and sesame seeds, served with kimchi aioli. These were crispy, sticky, and sweet with a little bit of heat. A hell of a mess to eat, but damn tasty. Five to an order, I could've had a few more. The dipping sauce was okay, would've preferred ranch personally. Owner/chef was super nice and working hard for the line of people. Not easy going it alone when you're the only food option for lunch. He had a smile on his face and kindly communicated with his customers. Looking forward to stamping my passport to more dishes from the global menu!

The Manager said he double checked everything by hand himself and that was reassuring as we loaded it all up! Packaging was almost overly cautious and very respectable considering the juices of meats. That was awesome, thank you! I thought the food was out of this world, so good -- and plenty of our guests agreed! This was the type of food we needed to make a statement, and it was excellent.
