We hit up this bar for a decent burger after watching the video of the Burger Review Guy said how delicious it was! He rated the burger a 9.3 out of 10. He was spot on! Burger was excellent and the hand cut fries were also delish. Service was fine- the lady running the place appeared to be a "one-woman show." Went mid-afternoon no one but the barmaid there, greeted & grabbed a table,they were all empty. She took our order promptly, then waited a while for our food, good thing nobody was there. Went there yesterday with my best buddy for a burger and a beer. What a great burger!!! So, the place is like any other "old time bar" inside. Linoleum floors, a long bar on one side of the room and an odd half-wall that kind of thing that divides the room into 2 sides. It's odd because it just divides the room. I can't really see any purpose to it, but whatever... There are dollar bills taped everywhere. Kind of a cool touch. Lots of kitschy stuff that old bars tend to have. The few things that seem out of sorts is a lack of stench from stale beer and cigarette smoke. We played in a lot of these bars years ago and they all had that smell. Some of them still do because they allow smoking (egad!). The men's room is absolutely terrible, but it was clean. The only thing that would make it worse is if it had one of those trough urinals (like the old Michigan Tavern on Smith). A divider between the urinals would be a nice touch... Oh, I went off on a tangent again, sorry. So, the burger! Perfectly cooked and the requested toppings were spot-on. Nicely seasoned, cooked on a flat top to medium. The bun was soft but nicely toasted. It's a big ol' thing - 10 ounces! I ordered fries with mine. The fries are fresh cut. They should have been crispier. The best way to do that is rinse the fries in cold water after cutting to remove the excess starch and then double fry them. I don't think those steps were done. I give them an "A" for effort because fresh cut fries are a pain. I'll give them a "C" for the actual results. We also had PBR's with this (just one each, thank you)! The total, with the tip came to $40 bucks. Some would say that's too much for lunch, but the burgers are huge, and we each had a beer. The fries are something like $5.00, so all in all, not a bad deal. I'll definitely be back! Crisp up the fries and get a divider in the men's room and this would be a 5-star review! read more

Bar has a great vibe! Best burgers in the area & fresh cut fries! It's fun to write your name on a dollar bill and tape it up along with everyone else's! This bar also has a $0.50 pool table which hasn't been seen in ages as well as a dart board and lots of tables to sit at! read more

We love LaSalle Bar! It is located off M-125 in LaSalle. It's a no-frills, come as you are establishment. There are dollars plastered all over the walls and ceiling to leave your legacy. The owner encourages it! PLEASE write your name on a buck and ask her for the tape! Find yourself the perfect spot and hook it up! The kind owner is there everyday serving up cold beers & the BEST half pound burger cooked to perfection- and they NOW have a slider basket for the ones who prefer a smaller patty. The sliders were amazing like the half pound burger. They were the perfect size! The hand cut fries make the perfect compliment. I look forward to them- add a little bit of malt vinegar & a dash salt- amazing! LaSalle Bar has been there for decades. You must check this one out! You will feel like a "regular" upon exit. This is a little dive bar on Dixie Hwy between Monroe, MI and Toledo, Ohio. You probably would not even notice it driving by. We we informed about this place from some patrons we met at another favorite place we frequent. We were told the Burger was phenomenal. Well we stopped finally and yea its a little neighborhood bar with its regulars and its Pool Table and bar menu. People were friendly, staff was friendly, menu was limited. The La Salle Burger was AWESOME! The fries were fresh cut. What I mean by fresh cut is not some cute menu term, I mean she cut Potatoes in the back to make our fries... that fresh cut. Damn good fries and burger. My wife thinks her Burger was better than the epic one at Larson's Bar in Monroe. I thought it was too close to tell. Our drink pours were decent too! La Salle is only 5 minutes South of Monroe, people. If you know Larsons Burger, come check out the La Salle Burger and decide which one is better... ... I dare ya. read more

Well I will stick with their burgers are one of the best around...and the fries are real and good...but if she asks you if you want a refill on your pop...be aware that she will charge you for another whole glass without a warning and go on about how her beer prices have not gone up when others have...as if that has anything to do with charging us for another refill...just saying. read more
