We got the chipotle chicken wrap, shawarma wrap, Philly cheese steak flatbread, and cheesy garlic bread. All of them were sooo good. 5/5 for sure. We didn't try any of the drinks, but the margaritas looked nice at least. The ambiance was nice and laid back. The inside is small but there's plenty of space outside. I go occasionally to Luna Pier for their beach spots for a few hours a day. One day we decided after the beach to grab a bite to eat of the beach cafe. It was myself with two of my girlfriends for a day trip. It is not at all what someone would normally suspect. The restaurant itself is located to the left of the beach access and it's very small. Once you walk into the cafe there's bar seating to the left with indoor seating (2 tables) to the right. You have to sit outside because that's where the majority of the seating is at - which is fine - but on super hot, miserable days, it's unfortunate to have to sit outside. Furthermore, you order first. The bartender took our orders and was rushing us completely. There are no hand held menus - but rather menus that are in plastic stand up table toppers. The bartender/waitress was not friendly. Had a rude demeanor and very unprofessional in the way she worked behind the counter. I ordered the ten hot BBQ wings. The wings were absolutely delicious and fell right off the bone. Unfortunately you get no side and with ten wings plus tip - my bill was $20. Overcharged. My sister got a BLT sandwich which came with chips - her review was that it was really good and she was impressed. My girlfriends meal was an onion chicken wrap with 5 parmesan and garlic wings and her meal was under $18 dollars. She enjoyed her meal up until the point where she found a long, black, hair embedded inside the chicken wing meat. It wasn't on top of the wing to debunk saying it was hers - it was coming OUT of the meat as she PULLED. She didn't get a refund for her money because she ate the remaining wings. As of drinks - my sister and girlfriend got waters. First, there were no water dispensers that the water came out of which is suspicious itself. It was in a container filled with ice. Not coming out of a filtered place. Towards the end of our meal, the manager came in to work his shift bringing the "cafe dog." I understand some restaurants have animals - but when the dog is up against me while I'm trying to enjoy my meal, begging for food. I don't enjoy my time much. Secondly, I noticed the manager drinking many beers on the job and when we returned our plates at the end of our visit he asked how our meal was and I said not good he replied with oh. Maybe it's just me, but if I owned a business and people weren't fully satisfied with their visit - I would want to ask further how I can improve their next visit. On top of that - the location, food, workers/service was all trashy. I would rather drive someplace else that has better service and food no matter the distance then to eat here again. read more

I usually love this place! Great atmosphere and food ....sometimes the wait is long because the place is small and with music almost every if not every night. They get pretty busy. Well tonight they wasn't so busy and I think the regular cooks weren't in the kitchen because my cheese quesadilla with Bacon and tomato was bare ....the cheese was practically non existent and very little Bacon or tomato .....let me tell you I've eaten here many times before and we are talking gushing cheese ....amazing and what I was expecting today ....sadly it was the barest quesadilla been served....the BLT served to our table was also mostly LT, and the chicken bacon ranch flatbread came out wrong ...so was served later when most of us were almost done eating with nothing more than a barely sorry bout that ....have to say it was a real disappointment compared to our previous stops and I hope this message gets back and the propern training gets provided to whomever was working the kitchen tonight .....I would never return if this had been my experience the past 3 or 4 times ....I will give you another chance read more

COOl place to hang out I love this place most of the time. It's extremely nice but can be cliquish. I't s VERY expensive but the drinks are KILLER GOOD with the food too. Also they have a nice outdoor area to listen to live music DAILY. Thursdays domestics are only 2 dollars which offsets shots that are FIVE. FUN TIMES. read more

First of all, I don't even need to go there to hear the music, because I can hear the music from inside my house, 2 streets away with my windows closed. Makes it hard for me to sleep at night. They are disturbing the peace in the city of Luna Pier by playing their music so loud. Their music can be heard 8 street away. Maybe if they actually turned the music down, I would visit the place. Thank you, Coffee Fairies! Southeast Michigan, along I-75, is NOT the coffee desert it appeared to be on yelp. We happened to be stopping in Luna Pier, having given up on our iced coffee dream, and there the Luna Pier Beach Cafe was, on our way to the pier/beach. It's a very cute place, with terrific iced coffee: smooth and flavorful (not bitter, no cigarette ash taste), even with what would normally be "too little milk" and no cream at all. Exactly what we were looking for. Our cherry almond anise biscotti was very tasty and had a nice texture (dry and crunchy with a tiny chewishness, rather than stale and rocklike). We didn't get anything else, but the homemade shortbread looked good. We didn't try the gelato, but it looked tasty. Same for the homemade lemonade. The writing on the windows and doors (with menu items) drew us in, and the product will bring us back if we ever find ourselves driving between Toledo and Detroit again. Well worth an exit off I-75. But if you do take the exit, you should also check out Jerky Unlimited and the pier/beach. Luna Pier lived up to it's evocative name. read more

Awesome location. If you never had gelato this is the place to try it. The owner was very generous with the samples before we ordered. Gelato may seem expensive at first for the amount you get, but it is not ice cream, it is gelato, much more creamy and flavorful. The barista knew how to correctly pull a shot of espresso. The interior was very cool with neat place and cool place to sit at a marble bar or in some cool white lounge chairs. read more

This place is as amazing as it's employees. We had the BEST barista... she was friendly, personable, and explained bubble tea to me. They served AMAZING chocolate chip cookies that were big and puffed up. The scones and gelato looked beautiful. But the yummiest thing was the La Luna Lemonade... it's homemade lemonade with a shot of fresh-squeezed orange juice poured over slushed ice. So simple, but SO refreshing if you're coming off the hot beach. Wish we didn't live in Cleveland so I could come back every day. We WILL be returning!!!! read more
