Went back today to return it as per their policy, and was told the manager went on break, 'ok, cool - when will he be back?' "Around 30 minutes" - 35 minutes pass, I come back "Oh, sorry manager is still not here yet, come back another day or in the afternoon when the technician is here." Like holy cow, how can an associate not be able to do a simple return? Is it so hard? Ive returned things to associates at Walmart in less time. Called CS - they called the store and by the time the call was done, the manager had finally returned, I went back and completed the return. Sufficed to say lost 40 minutes of my time and $3.75 to return simple RAM. First time shopping here, and my last. Corporate should save it's money and close this location judging by the other reviews.

It is deadly for me to go into any Factory Direct because I love everything that I see. This store was no different. There was lots of parking in this plaza. I backed into a spot and headed over. It's to the right of Winners when you're facing both stores. I spent a good hour checking this store out. I had a great time and bought a bunch of items. This store is deep. You can find everything from items that are shown on TV late at night when you have nothing better to do, to televisions and small appliances. I saw a cheap Chia pet-like product. I decided to try it out. It needs a lot of water. Mine is a monkey that is supposed to grow grass on its head. It's supposed to take a couple of weeks to see growth, so we'll see how it goes. So far, it has been enjoyable. There are lots of quirky items in this store that are also practical. I got a mini umbrella for my phone that comes with a kickstand. The idea is to provide shade for your phone so that it doesn't overheat when you're using it outside. My phone and I are alike. We overheat when it's hot and humid outside, which was the case while I was in Ottawa. This mini umbrella was purple, so it was a no-brainer move for me to get it. You know what? It works. The curved handled hooked around my PopSocket and actually cooled my phone down. The best item that I got was an attach-a-bag strap that hooks on to your luggage handle and drapes over your luggage. It is the best. I had more than one bag strapped on to my luggage as I took the elevator down to the hotel parking lot the day that I checked out. It was awesome! I used it on my most recent trip to the Twin Cities. It freed up my hands and was such a helper. It was the best $4 investment! If you like candy, there isn't any shortage at this store. I didn't get any, but it was mesmerizing seeing everything from Milka to Toblerone. The selection was impressive and prices were decent. Neon signs. Laptops. Mice (I was told recently that the shift is towards saying mouses, which sounds weird to me). Power bars. There isn't anything you can't find in this store. I have a weakness for small appliances. It was cool seeing ice cream makers, shaved ice machines, waffle makers, rice cookers, and more at this store. So much fun at affordable prices! I also ended up getting a small container of Vaseline with aloe for my lips. It works great for the massive price of $1. I had the most pleasant woman at the checkout. I'm not sure why folks have indicated that staff were rude. This woman asked if I had found everything that I wanted. I sure did and bought stuff that I didn't even know that I needed! I paid with a credit card. The transaction went through without a hitch. Because I had done quite a bit of damage, I got a huge plastic bag for free. Yay! I should visit Factory Direct more often. I had such a great shopping experience here. The travel section, in particular, had great finds that I wasn't expecting. It's a great store with decent prices. I'd definitely return again. (308)

We had arranged to meet Abdul to look at cost etc. He was very calm, patient and knowledgeable! We agreed on the plan and waited to have our order processed. Unfortunately, the computer system went down and we had to wait a couple of hours to have everything done. It certainly wasn't the fault of the staff. Abdul and the store manager, Sarah( I believe she is the manager) were absolutely fantastic! They felt terrible about our having to wait, offering to buy us food and drink. While waiting for everything to be done, I noticed Sarah and another of the staff speaking with a young man who clearly had an intellectual disability. I was blown away by how kind and patient Sarah and the other staff member were to this individual. That so rarely happens in our world. In the end, all five or six employees were helping to get our new phones ready for us. I was blown away by the service! Bravo to Sarah, Abdul and the entire staff at the Source in the Rideau Centre!! The sales staff are great when you're buying something. However, make sure the item is actually in…read morestock in the store. If you place an order for in-store pickup, be prepared to wait. When you arrive at the customer service counter, it's easy to feel invisible. The staff don't acknowledge you or even look up when you approach. You have to interrupt them just to get assistance, and even then you're often told to wait, even when there are no other customers at the counter. The overall attitude comes across as dismissive, as though you're inconveniencing them. It also seems like they're constantly dealing with problems from previous orders, so every customer ends up waiting while they sort out someone else's issue. I went to pick up a handheld mixer, and the process took nearly 45 minutes. After waiting inside, I was told to drive to the pickup door at the back. Once there, I had to wait again because the attendant was dealing with another customer who had been called to pick up her order, only to be told it wasn't actually there. She had driven 45 minutes to the store, so understandably she was upset. Instead of quickly handing me my mixer, I had to sit there while staff argued with the customer. This wasn't an isolated incident. Every single time I've had to pick up an online order from this location, the experience has been the same: long waits, poor communication, and customer service that feels disorganized and overwhelmed. The frustrating part is that I wouldn't even be using the pickup service if I had another choice. I was refused a refund on an exchange and was only offered store credit. Unfortunately, the replacement items I need are only available online, so I'm forced to order them for pickup. Each visit has been unnecessarily time-consuming and stressful and since it's always out of stock online, I had to go 3 times to have a complete order. I won't be shopping at The Brick again. The amount of time they waste and the level of stress they create for customers is unacceptable.

Also had a written proof of my chat with online the customer rep. But guess what - the lady in store had the gut to tell me - ''we can't take it back as the online customer rep made a mistake and has no access to our notes''. I couldn't believe it - as a customer am I suppose to just let it go and lose my heard earned money because someone from Brick did read the notes from the Customer rep. If someone from Brick is reading this, is this fair to you? This is simply not professional. I will take my business elsewhere.

The staff is helpful without being all over you. And the shop is humongous! I would say that this place is just about as good as the Apple store is. To me the only differences are that this place is (as huge as it is) still smaller than the Apple store, and not as well lit. Maybe a bit less staff at the Sony store.
