Two hydrangeas properly secured and packed for our drive back to Southern California

This nursery has an extensive selection of plants that will appeal to all, from individuals who would like to get into gardening to those who are serial gardeners. We took home two gorgeous hydrangeas with us back to Southern California. And we'd like to complement Francisco for his excellent customer service. He went out of his way to find us a box so we can safely secure the hydrangeas for our trip home. He also gave us helpful tips in selecting and caring for our plants. Thank you, Francisco!

Huge variety, great selection. It's conveniently located off the 101- Patterson exit. The staff is pretty hands off, but if you ask them questions, they are incredibly Knowledgeable and have the answers for you. We were there when the check out line grew and they opened up a register. That's always a great indicator of customer service. Beautiful selection of roses, very well priced. Been getting roses there for years. It's clean and well organized. Could easily spend a while here. Totally worth checking out.

I stopped in at this Nursery the other day to buy some shade cloth. I'd never been here so I browsed around a little too. Nice size nursery and good selection of flowering plants in their covered area. They also have a green house area with tropical plants that looked good. All the plants looked healthy and well cared for. The employee that helped me with the shade cloth was very polite, enthusiastic and professional. I was helped quickly and check out process was fast. They have a nice variety of potting soils, planters, tools, gloves, pesticides, rodenticides, and plant food. I'd stop in here again.

Wonderful knowledgeable employees and great plant selection. If they don't have it they will order it for you. Plenty of pots and decorative items for the yard. Large selection of organic fertilizers. This place has everything you need for a beautiful garden!

Living here in Goleta I did not know of Terra Sol, and so it was a much welcomed surprise to walk into their lush green space. Their staff was very helpful in directing us towards the different areas of plants, statuary, pottery, fountains, and also to their well stocked areas of garden tools, soils, and pretty much everything you need to help keep your garden and outdoor areas green and colorful. And all very reasonably priced. And for those of you wanting to start a Zen Garden, their selection of Buddah Statues, Fountains, and Pagoda Lanterns is a great place to start. Conveniently located in North Goleta, off of Patterson Avenue, between Highway 101 and Hollister Avenue, and a stone's throw from the Santa Barbara Humane Society and the US Post Office.

I asked where the mailbox locks were. He didn't even blink and said it's down this isle right had side in bin number, it's towards the bottom. I was blown away it as exactly where he said it was. I'm so sorry I didn't get his name. I've never had anyone pretty much at any store know so exactly where something was without having to look it up. Clean cut young man with glasses. I have had so many painful interactions in this store and it goes back decades. Today just prompted me to actually write a review and this one leaves a bad taste in my mouth for sure. I'm going to go ahead and leave off the phone call I made regarding the zero balance gift card that also lasted nearly an hour as it doesn't pertain to anything this store has done but it's a nice cherry to add to the story. The only people that I have consistently had a positive experience with are the Customer Service people, just inside the entrance. Against all odds, these folks are out there doing what I would imagine is the hardest job in the store.

For the last 3 years it has gotten worse each year, and this year, I did a walk-through in about 10 minutes since they had next to nothing and what they did have were at ridiculous prices with most of the greenhouse off limits. Should be called "Santa Barbara Wooden Bench Exhibit, featuring Occasional Dying Orchid." It made me so sad to come onto Yelp and see what an amazing place it was in the past. Yeah, as I imagined, the business had a case of Pass-down; excited owners assumed their kids would love the business just as much as they did, and now the kids just seem to be wishing that a lightning strike would hit the place overnight and wipe it out. The people here are friendly, don't get me wrong; they just seem painfully aware that they are operating the shell of a formerly thriving, vibrant gem of an orchid nursery. Nobody seriously cares about the place. Every single plant there was in poor shape. $75 cattleyas with yellow leaves and wrinkled up pseudobulbs, missing information tags, blah blah blah. The only person who seemed excited to be there was the nice older grandpa who; while friendly, became seriously uncomfortable. He clearly has some severe form of dementia and will ask you where you're from 5 times in a row. We noticed another couple with a petite wife whose husband walked away to the other greenhouse, and she was being constantly followed and asked questions by the man. She felt extremely uncomfortable and I had to step in to distract him, and she waved a thank you and ran back to her husband. He was basically cornering her. The ladies working there heard and saw all this and couldn't care less. Guys, just go to Gallup Stribling, or Cal-Orchid, if you can get the cantankerous old lady there to give you the time of day, let alone make an appointment to see their stock (she thinks they're a botanical country club.) But PLEASE, don't waste your time here! Especially if you're in town for the yearly orchid show. There's much better places in town for orchids.
