    Monstera plant
    William L.

I was looking for a birthday gift and decided on a Monstera plant. Eric was incredibly knowledgeable about house plants and went above and beyond to help me. He propped the plant up with a bamboo stick at no extra cost and even cleaned it to make it extra presentable. The attention to detail and the extra mile he went truly impressed me. This place is amazing!

The ambience of this place is like none other honestly one of the most powerful experiences just walking through the front entrance. It is dripping with creativity, and all sorts of interesting, unique and exotic plants. Sub, tropical fruit selection is also outstanding, as well as the overall plant quality. the selection that they have here at Terra Sol Nursery! I would highly recommend anyone who is passionate about gardening, or Landscaping to visit the store, all sorts of goodies in the gift shop and gardening, tools, etc. looking forward to my next visit.

    Indoor Houseplant: Heartleaf Philodendron

This garden center can meet all your needs whether it's outdoor gardening or indoor house plants! They have such a large variety of succulents, fruit/vegetable plants, flowers, and house plants. The workers are all wearing masks and very friendly. There is a plethora of street parking on Overpass. The place is sectioned and labeled clearly between what types of plants you'll find. They have reasonable prices and provide many accessories you'll need like soil, pots, etc. I got a heartleaf philodendron and a rubber plant and am very happy to have found this garden center!

One of my favorite plant nurseries every!! They have so many plants from ghost pepper to house plants. Anything you can think of, they have it. So be prepare to spend about an hour to fully look through everything they have. They also sell ceramic pots and soil for your plants. The workers are also very helpful and knowledgeable so feel free to ask them anything. I felt very welcomed and happy to shop her, so I will be returning

Rude lady behind the register. The one that first made the comment

Drove all the way from Santa Maria one of my favorite nurseries apparently not anymore!!!!! I was walking by the front of the garden register and coughed I end up having to spit should not be a big deal it is a garden nursery. I spit into the rocks on the floor and the person behind the register the lady decided to make a loud comment and said you that's gross. I asked her I said excuse me and she said that was gross and I said what did you want me to do I had to spit it's a nursery there's dirt ground rocks I spin into the rocks she told me that there's a trash can or a dumpster around the corner that I could have went and spit in. I tried to keep my cool and just started walking away. I Saw her standing there laughing with a lady at the register I walked up to her and asked her to talk to the manager knowing that she was already talking to one. Apparently it wasn't the manager it was the owner i believe name was Nancy. I asked if she was the owner she said she was I asked if she knew what had happened and she said yes as she was laughing about it I asked if she thought it was funny that she told one of her customers to go out and around the back of the building and spit in a dumpster and she said that it was gross and yes that she said that I should have went and spit in the dumpster. If you have a problem with somebody spitting you should keep your mouth shut. You don't know there health problems. You DONT even know me but yes laugh at a disabled Man that has health issues. Yes laugh at him with the owner funny right tell him to go to to your back dumpster to go spit!!! Customer service definitely is not what this nursery is about. I drove all the way down from Santa Maria too Buy the plants for the rest of my cactus garden from here and to think this is what I get. Gonna have the drive down the street to LA SUMIDA nursery. Where they treat a customer the right way!!!! What a disappointment

Everyone is always so helpful and it's a breath of fresh air to have help from people that actually know what they're talking about. They even bought in the ruby necklace plants that I special ordered. This is definitely one of my top favorite nurseries in so.cal. I always look forward to visiting here when I work in santa barbara!

    Whale garden sculpture reasonably priced.

If it starts out as garbage as those from Reseda, then nothing can be done to remedy the problem except throw away the mistakes and start over.

For the last 3 years it has gotten worse each year, and this year, I did a walk-through in about 10 minutes since they had next to nothing and what they did have were at ridiculous prices with most of the greenhouse off limits. Very disappointing. Since Paul Gripp, the soul of the place, passed away in January, I assume its days are numbered, which was the rumor going around in March. A pity.

Yeeeesh....this place is just depressing. A monument to dead passion…read more I came excited to check it out with my girlfriend, and man were we disappointed. Should be called "Santa Barbara Wooden Bench Exhibit, featuring Occasional Dying Orchid." It made me so sad to come onto Yelp and see what an amazing place it was in the past. Yeah, as I imagined, the business had a case of Pass-down; excited owners assumed their kids would love the business just as much as they did, and now the kids just seem to be wishing that a lightning strike would hit the place overnight and wipe it out. The people here are friendly, don't get me wrong; they just seem painfully aware that they are operating the shell of a formerly thriving, vibrant gem of an orchid nursery. Nobody seriously cares about the place. Every single plant there was in poor shape. $75 cattleyas with yellow leaves and wrinkled up pseudobulbs, missing information tags, blah blah blah. The only person who seemed excited to be there was the nice older grandpa who; while friendly, became seriously uncomfortable. He clearly has some severe form of dementia and will ask you where you're from 5 times in a row. We noticed another couple with a petite wife whose husband walked away to the other greenhouse, and she was being constantly followed and asked questions by the man. She felt extremely uncomfortable and I had to step in to distract him, and she waved a thank you and ran back to her husband. He was basically cornering her. The ladies working there heard and saw all this and couldn't care less. Guys, just go to Gallup Stribling, or Cal-Orchid, if you can get the cantankerous old lady there to give you the time of day, let alone make an appointment to see their stock (she thinks they're a botanical country club.) But PLEASE, don't waste your time here! Especially if you're in town for the yearly orchid show. There's much better places in town for orchids.
