    Best horchata I'm East Stockton
    Nanci-Nanciele M.

This review is solely for the Kitchen, specifically the Horchata! I love good Horchata and not everyone makes it well. This place has the best Horchata on the East side of Stockton. This is definitely the place to go to get your Horchata fix satisfied! Lots of parking! Fast and efficient staff that are friendly and bilingual!

This store has doble the price than any other local grocery store. Save your coin and visit any other Mexican grocery store. Owners are literally taking advantage of the surrounding residents. For reference 1 cup of noodles is 79 cents get it at Walmart for 35 cents, even Safeway sells them for 59 cents and that's a higher end grocery store. This store is in the ghetto with pot holes all over the parking lot.

A piece of plastic in my fruit!

I just found a piece of plastic in my frutas mixtas (fruit cocktail) i had to throw it away because I was worried I'd find more pieces and.....I will be throwing that away along with my very runny fresas con creams.

    Walmart price

Went to this store for a last minute purchase, NEVER GO HERE. They rob from the people. This one example shows they charge twice the price as Walmart. I get Walmart's a chain but that doesn't excuse charging twice as much as them. I looked at other prices to see if it was just the one but it's not. It was things like bread, yogurt, frozen foods, and some canned items like dulce de leche. They seriously take advantage of the fact so many Mexicans go there.

Tacky looking cake. Very disappointed. Looks cheap and rushed.

I picked up a 27 dollar something cake, I asked to put Happy Birthday Josh. This looks so tacky, sloppy. The happy birthday is not even centered. Won't be buying a cake from there again

I find it absolutely necessary to commend the young man named Ernesto from the Meat Dept. It isn't often that you find a butcher willing to hand pick the meat of my choice piece by piece. He had so much patience and was so kind. He is a perfect example of an employee that every business should have. La Superior is one of my favorite hispanic supermarkets. It's always clean and with a butcher like Ernesto, it is an incredibly pleasant place to shop. Thank you Ernesto for all of your help!

Everything is falling out once u pick it up do not purchase anything in this store go to San Miguel instead better service there.

2nd time this happens to me I will no longer go grocery shopping there or even set a foo there again.

This store needs major work. Perhaps a new store director or something. It's just so sad in there now. Not ordering cake from there either cause they got the order wrong and expected us to bring it back when the whole party was waiting on the cake? The cashiers also need customer service training instead of worrying about their makeup.

Nice remodel of the old SaveMart store.. Looks like they are in the final stages of remodel and will be opening soon. Maybe give Rancho San Miguel some competition!

Super dry over cooked chicken and masa.

We got the food to go, and let me tell you, I kept coming back, The ribs are perfect the flavor is amazing the brisket was so tender it almost melts in your mouth, 3 kinds of sausages cheese, hot and regular amazing the smoke flavor is prominent in everything you taste. Perfect smoke, rendered just right. I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet sauce, definitely have a preference for the more vinegar based stuff. The cole slaw was delicious, super crispy and not too sweet thank goodness. We loved it. The mac and cheese was definitely cheddar cheesy, it was super rich so we didn't finish it but it was good. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was made in house and amazing, we loved the bite of the casing. We also ordered a banana cream pie cup and the vanilla wafers were really soggy, but the pudding consistency was great. Staff were super friendly, food was great, and it was packed inside, definitely can see why this is a local favorite with such high reviews.

After moving to Arizona, I was unable to find that same variety anywhere. Fast-forward to Google. I discovered Lakewood using Google to find a variety of sausage with a company that delivered. My favorites are Pineapple (tastes Hawaiian), Alabama, which is a sweet, small link that is similar to Hawaiian Linguica breakfast sausage and my new favorite is Jalepeno-Jack. This one is perfect on the smoker and tastes similar to ones that I've had at BBQ joints. I recently made an error on an order and had to call them. I hated to ask them to undo my mistake, but the staff was cheerful and assured me that it was no trouble. I appreciated that. Best of all, I don,t have to travel to California to enjoy my favorites. I will say that I've always been a fan of mobile food trucks as the majority of ones I've been to…read moreover the years have been tacos. However, I had the opportunity trying out one of the more well-known butcher shops to serve San Joaquin County. This is none other than "Fagundes Meats & Catering" which has been a staple in Manteca for decades. Their actual brick-and-mortar location is off of N. Main St/E. Louise Ave in the heart of Manteca while their food truck ventures out to various locations for a variety of community events. In this case, I saw them serving hungry patrons at the Manteca Watermelon Street Fair that took place during the weekend of 6/6/26-6/7/26. To those that know this business already is that they are famous for their tri-tip. In addition to that, they also have other amazing protein options including rib-eye, brisket, pulled pork, Italian sausage, linguica, chicken, and the order I went with, their pork belly. I ended up going with their "Pork Belly Kabobs" and went for the combo deal which included a side (I went with their macaroni salad) and a drink (I opted for a Diet Pepsi). Total price for everything was $17 (which included tax + tip); not bad especially at a public outdoor event. I will say that the pork belly was quite delicious; a little bit on the salty side but nonetheless still a fairly decent portion in each and every bite. I paired it up with their homemade BBQ sauce which had a sweet yet tangy flavor. The macaroni salad was just average for me as it had too much of a vinegar taste while lacking a whole lot of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this meal as it held me through the majority of the afternoon. I am definitely curious to try their other meats if I end up visiting their actual butcher shop. Overall, the service was excellent considering I was at a busy outdoor event. The line moved quickly while the prices were quite reasonable, even these days where meat prices have become quite outrageous. With that said and done, I am giving the mobile food truck portion of "Fagundes Meats & Catering" an above average four stars. Hopefully I can make a future visit to their butcher shop in the coming months so stay tuned!

Mac and cheese wasn't at all my cup of tea- too bland for my liking. I've also never had potato salad with black olives in it... That is a "no thank you" for me as well. I'll be back around to try more menu items but for now, I'd say around a 3.5.

When you cook them it's amazing how lean they seem to be. There isn't any extra fat in the pan that usually comes from other sausages you cook from grocery stores. The taste even shows the quality of meat. I read in other reviews that people were treated poorly while here. That wasn't the case for me. The person who helped me was extremely pleasant and didn't get upset that I kept adding more and more items to what I wanted to buy. Something new I found out today is that they also make salami and even slice it for you for sandwiches. I purchased the garlic salami today and it is amazing. Sometimes a line can form outside so it's best to go early in the day as only 6 people are allowed in the store at a time. It's a very small area inside so it's understandable. The atmosphere reminds me of something from way back in the old school days. Well I supposed that's because of the building being so old anyways. The entire situation is an experience that's pretty cool. If you haven't been to Lockeford Sausages you really should take a trip out and get something. You can get sausages of course but also there is jerky, meat sticks, hot dogs, bacon and various other things like marinated tritip. If you've ever been to a local street fair around here and ate a big grilled sausage on a big roll and thought it was the best grilled sausage you've ever had, it most likely was a Lockeford sausage.
