The quality of the meat wasn't enough to make up for the fact that you're paying so much for pre-made ramen in terms of the pricing. We grabbed the birria tour which also was fine. I don't totally understand the seasoning on the tacos (was it tajin? crushed Doritos?) and the filling was just okay. I couldn't tell if these tacos were meant to be soft shell or hard shell as they really weren't either. The highlight was absolutely the consomme, which was actually quite nice. The meal comes with some options (limes, raw onions, etc.) which were a nice addition. The shop itself seems pretty family owned and it did take a fair amount of time to get any of the food. It's also fairly expensive for what it is so we were quite surprised with the ultimate bill. The vibe of the place itself is fascinating. They sell a mix of Asian and Mexican candy. But then there are seemingly Mexican marks/outfits adorning the walls that create a totally different vibe. I came here with a co-worker a few weeks back. I ordered the quesataco combo that came with 3 birria crispy tacos with cheese and consommé. It cost a whopping $18! $20 after taxes. The birria itself was pretty tasty, especially with a squeeze of lime juice. The consommé was flavorful and I ended up drinking the rest of it. My complaint is that the "crispy" tacos weren't very crispy at all. My favorite places in LA get that part right, and I was a little let down by that. Came on a Wednesday night and was delighted with our service. The place was not too crowded and we were immediately given service right when we got in. The worker was kind and patient, as my party and gave her our order. We waited no more than 10 minutes for our food--which came out hot and freshly cooked. Our party ordered the queso Birria tacos, which came in a set of 3, generously packed, beef Birria tacos with cheese inside and a consume. Our table was also given a set of condiments (hot sauce, limes, cilantro, and chopped onions) and a roll of paper towel to keep clean. We ordered and the food came out extremely quick. I got the Birria tour and my boyfriend got the Quesabirrias. The meat was great but the tortillas seemed so soft that our tacos were breaking. Before our tacos were made crispy which is what had us coming back. We enjoyed our meals but not as well as our very first visit. They no longer serve complimentary beans or tortilla chips which is also a bummer. I asked for a side of frijoles and the server was kind enough to bring some out for me. Really appreciated that kind gesture. The horchata was also very flavorful and not starchy at all. I'd recommend! We tried the dorado and quesataco plates, basically beef tacos served with a side of consome but one is with cheese and one without. Both were packed with flavor. Surprisingly, three tacos were quite filling! A nice touch is the complimentary side of salsa, onions, cilantro, and limes that come with your meal. The only downside was the price (it was $3 more for the queso tacos), which is a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. The food came out pretty fast and they provide all the toppings for your table and it was so fun to customize the way you want your tacos! Horchata, before it gets watered down and AFTER it's watered down is a 10/10. 30 min wait on 3 quesabirria tacos and a singular torta to-go (alongside the horchata). I was the only person to order food, others were sitting and dining with all their orders. I feel like it should have been 15 min at best. The quesabirria tacos were like, a 2/10. There is absolutely no flavor or depth to the consomé, which transcends to a flavorless taco. The tacos aren't even dipped in the broth and then cooked. It's just a plain tortilla- not that it necessarily matters considering that the broth wasn't flavorful to begin with. The size of the tacos are very well sized, so if the tacos had actually tasted good it would have been a great. In addition to the unfortunate taste, the price is overly inflated. 3 tacos + pastor + horchata = 40$. That's expensive. It's not worth it in the slightest. Torta was a 9/10, per my husband. Employees were very kind as well. It just sucks that the quesabirria wasn't even "mid" to say the least, and the price points don't reflect the taste of it. If they could just get the broth down, I think it would reflect upon the name of their establishment well. read more

I ordered 3 hard taco + cheese birria and a soda. It was around $25.00 in total. When I went the music was obnoxiously loud and super vulgar songs. The food and salsas were below average. On top of that I had to wait around 25 minutes to be served. Stopped by for lunch just a little after La Super Birria opened and the restaurant already had quite a few tables occupied with individuals enjoying their food. The lady taking our order quickly realized this was our first time here, so she offered up some suggestions which was appreciated. You order up front, are given a number to place on your table, and your order is brought out to you once ready. My quesatacos (3/order) were legit. Each taco was crispy (pan fried nicely and was oily), had a good amount of birria, and was cheesy. The meat was tender and very flavorful. My quesatacos didn't come with consume (my mistake as I didn't read the menu correctly), which is a must. Luckily we also ordered the classica, which came with consume that I was able to dip my quesatacos into. C&N also enjoyed their items from the kids menu- baby tacos (basically a street taco with birria) and cheese quesadilla. Food I got the birria tour, which was really good. The quesabirria had a touch too much cheese which made it a bit too rich but the flavor was still excellent. I put some radish in it and the earthiness and crunch complemented the beef quite well and saved the texture. The other two tacos tasted pretty similar and were both excellent! The servers also gave us a free sample taco that was my favorite. It had some cheese and I think the sauce they used might have been spicier than the other tacos. It was comfortably spicy and the cheese wasn't overwhelming so you could taste all the different flavors. Service The staff were really nice and accommodating. They made the food incredibly fast and seemed generally happy. They bring over a small tray with all the fixings you need for your tacos (onions, cilantro, and sauces). The consome was perfect and enhanced the flavors of the tacos when we dipped it in. Parking was a little small/ cramp - came around 3p on a Sun and there were plenty of parking however when we got out at around 4:30p.
