Every time I come to Jersey, this is always the first place I think of where I would want to go for food. It's not corporate, it's local, it's in a cute part of town, and they have parking behind the building. It's just one of those places that feels like they're working hard to maintain their standing in the community. They're always looking to impress everyone. Came here for lunch actually a few months ago but have been meaning to write this review for a while. Food was stellar! They said they had just changed up their menu but everything still tasted a-okay. Our waiter was also very super friendly which to be honest coming from a guy who didn't grow up here, it's not typical to find wait staff who are as friendly as he was. Definitely one of my go-to's when I come around! Looking forward to coming back.

This is a traditional restaurant and bar environment with a casual neighborhood feel. They had St. Patrick's Day decorations up this week, which added a festive touch to the space. However, I was a little surprised that there weren't any themed green cocktails for the holiday only beer options, which felt like a missed opportunity considering the decorations and the occasion. The food was just okay overall. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out or felt particularly memorable either. It's the kind of place that's fine if you're stopping in for a casual meal or drink, but it didn't feel like a spot I would go out of my way to visit. Service was decent and the atmosphere was relaxed, but overall the experience was pretty average.

Fantastic food. Everything is so delicious. Service was spot on. A local hangout with rustic pub vibe. Great place to eat and get together with family and friends.

Largest beers on tap in the area. Buttermilk chicken sandwich added crispy jalapeños. Steak fries and onion rings on the side. Enough for two people but I didn't share. Sipped on my pomegranate gin martini while I waited for my meal. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations and yapped it up with the wonderful staff.

Love this place. If you are a craft beer person than you have to try them. Burgers and cheese steaks are good as well. My server was the greatness unfortunately I forgot her name. Do yourself a favor and try them out. I recommend uber given the various alcohol content of the various craft beers

Consistently excellent and well managed. Plenty of servers even in the busiest of times. We just popped in during St. Pats weekend. The place was jamming but the service and serve time were on point as usual. I had a couple pints of Guinness and corned beef and cabbage. The perfect pairing. My wife had the Sheppard's stew which was very hearty and satisfying. Love this place.

This place has great food, great service, and the ambiance of a true tavern. Have come here multiple times for lunch, and never have had a poor experience. They have a constantly rotating menu which allows to always be trying something different if that is what you enjoy. Our customers enjoy it, and the noise levels are still fairly good to have conversation even though they are typically fairly busy. I can imagine this is a great place in the evening to watch a game and enjoy drinks with friends as well, since the bar area seems to be just as active as the dining area.

We came by for a ciderfest event and it did not disappoint! The fall sangria was delightful and it reminded of a pumpkin spice latte but an alcoholic beverage version. Cloverleaf is known for seasonal menus so we decided to split an Octoberfest Burger which had sauerkraut and sausage inside of the burger. Somehow, it all worked well and ended up being one of my favorite burgers to date. Wow. We paired it with waffle fries which were super tasty as well. Going with the seasonal menu we ordered an apple cider donut ice cream sandwich and if was phenomenal. Usually it comes with pumpkin Ice cream but they were nice enough to swap it out for vanilla. It was so rich and tasty but we were happy to split this one. Lastly the espresso really washed down this whole meal. They have so many cider and beer options on a regular basis so be sure to visit.

Cloverleaf Tavern nails it every time. The beer menu is incredible--rotating craft selections and hands-down the best Guinness pour around. Their specials are always creative, but nothing beats Donut Day--absolutely legendary! Great food, awesome staff, and a perfect spot for beer lovers.

Solid pub food can be had at the Cloverleaf with your traditional pub finds and a few specials My buddy and I were feeling the need to exceed so we started with a dozen wings and an order of the frickles.. gotta give both these apps a 5 star.. the pickles were especially good. They were done as pickle spears , breaded and fried just right and straight to the table , nice and hot My bison burger was a 4 star. Roll outsized the burger patty to much and I think a larger portion of fries would have been fair Washed down with 3 cold yuenglings on tap I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at the Cloverleaf

Sweet Thai Chili Shrimp Crispy, lightly battered, and more sweet than spicy. Portion was fair and the sauce avoided the usual sticky-syrup problem. A clean start. Chicken Ciabatta (grilled) + bacon Lettuce, tomato, muenster, spicy mayo -- all balanced well, and the ciabatta held up without turning into a workout. Bacon was the right call. Curly fries came out hot and properly seasoned, which shouldn't be rare but often is. Fish Tacos - Shredded lettuce, onions, lime, boom‑boom sauce, cilantro. Generous filling, a little messy in the way fish tacos should be. Lime kept the sauce in check, and the fish tasted fresh with no off-notes. Tavern 292 isn't trying to reinvent anything, and that's part of the charm. The kitchen hits its marks, portions are honest, and the flavors land where they should. A dependable four‑star visit.

We usually are seated for a full meal. This happened to be our 1st bar experience. There was a women working the bar that day, around 2:30 PM. Not only did it take her forever to acknowledge us (only 1 other party of 3 people in the bar), but while taking our order she was applying lip gloss. It's a little unsanitary I'm thinking. The she made and received a handful of phone calls on her personal cell AND is a loud talker. I guess I am getting old when I can't understand while someone who is at work thinks it's okay to make and take personal calls. Yikes! Management take not as to what your employees are doing in front of the customers.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

We walked in and sat at the near-empty bar and were soon greeted by the bartender (woman with long brown hair), who also provided us with menus. After a few minutes, she circled back, and we ordered two glasses of water. Just seconds after ordering the waters, we were asked for ID. Unfortunately, I left my ID in my jacket, which I didn't have with me at the time, so I explained this to the bartender. We were then told that we could not sit and eat without ID (which I have never heard of in any restaurant I've been to... EVER). I left without making a big deal of it since I was hungry from my drive. Stopped here again on Saturday, May 16th, around 9 PM to meet up with friends before leaving Bloomfield for the night. We were told we could sit where we liked and were quickly attended to by one of the servers upon entry. I ordered a water, and my friend ordered the Six Points Burger with fries. This time, we were not carded until we decided to order beer/drinks. Additionally, there was a child in there, no older than 12 years old, eating with a parent/caregiver on this evening- ultimately proving the whole 'you need an ID to eat here' thing false... What can I say about Six Points after these two experiences?... There's a lively crowd in the evening times, and food seems decent, and it's in a prime location on Bloomfield Ave... but it's quite evident that (at least) one of their bartenders is prejudiced and seems to have issues with people of color simply trying to sit and order food. *I called Six Points on May 18th and asked to speak with a manager regarding my experience. I left my number with one of the employees who answered, and he also told me I would receive a call back- sadly, that never happened. To clarify, the employee acknowledged that my experience on April 18 should not have occurred, as I should have been allowed to order food. Lesson learned: Just go to Egans or Just Jakes in Montclair instead of Six Points Pub.

But after I gave it another shot later, I realized they take online orders. The estimated time here does seem to be off though, as I showed up about 5 minutes before the ETA and it was already sitting around being less hot. So maybe estimate picking up even earlier than that. When I came, the place was packed, but it was a game night. The kitchen/pick up area is way in the back, but I will say, their hot pretzel is fantastic. The flavor itself is good and crunchy, but with the cheese sauce, it was truly delectable. It was just pure thick cheddary liquid goodness. It also came with a mustard if you're that sort, but just the combo of pretzel and cheese makes for such a good and quick snack. They also have a trivia night promotion, so I'm interested in checking that out, but for bar food (even to go) is pretty solid.

What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks
