This is a fun pub. The bar area is huge with lots of seating and plenty of TVs to watch the games. I came to shoot darts. The TVs are set up perfectly that you can see even from the boards. The food is very reasonably priced as are the drinks. Great vibe here always.

Ringside Pub is an awesome place to grab something to eat and catch some live music or a game!! They have incredible bands on Friday & Saturday nights as well as Karaoke Thursdays & Open Mic on Sundays!! They do the NFL Sun ticket as well and feature every kind of sports on TV! The bartenders do an awesome job too! There are daily specials as well including deals for lunch and happy hour! They also feature an upstairs room for private parties and events with catering options onsite and to go!

I've driven past Ringside Pub on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell for years and never gone inside. The iconic red barn exterior gave me the impression that it was a country-western bar, but the fact is that Ringside Pub is a classic dive bar -- with run-down decor, modest prices, and a good selection of alcoholic beverages and pub food. Most nights, Ringside Pub is frequented by regulars from the neighborhood -- popping in for a few drinks or a meal comprised of tasty and filling pub staples at a very reasonable price served up by energetic and friendly staff. The beer, wine, and liquor selection offered is generally comprised of mass-produced brands but there's also a small selection of locally brewed cans of beer from Jersey Girl Brewing. Appetizers and entrees include the pub staples like chicken wings ($10), chicken fingers ($9), mozzarella sticks ($8), and burgers ($11) -- but there's a surprising selection of Greek appetizers and entrees, including tzatziki dip served with pita bread ($9), Dolmadakia stuffed grape leaves ($8), Spanakopita spinach pie ($9), and Kolokhitakia Skordalia fried zucchini w/potato garlic dip ($10), and Shrimp Mykonos w/ Orzo ($19). Unfortunately... We didn't try any of the food on this visit -- but will definitely return another night for dinner or the live music that makes this place so noteworthy. With its worn-down furnishings and exterior and very casual ambiance, this isn't the sort of establishment you bring friends, romantic interests, or business associates if you're trying to trying to impress them with an upscale meal. Still, due to its excellent service and modest prices, I'm a fan.

Best place ever!!! Go there on a Thursday night to see Dom and Nic who are the best bartenders you will ever find on the entire planet. It's got that stale beer smell that reminds me of college morning hangovers. The best! They do great bar pies and Domino's is so close you can't go wrong with some za! Staff is great. Bring in all the outside food you want. They'll give you condiments, plates, napkins, and condoms for later. Juke box works. There are dart boards. Over 12 TVs of largish size. Appropriate lighting for the crowd so you don't see too much. I LOVE YOU DOM!!!

With that being said the service we received here yesterday was outstanding and better than any five star restaurant. I cannot say how wonderful our waiter was.. I can't remember his name because let's face it. I had a few drinks because that's what it's about there. I believe it was. Giancarlo? So the manager if you see this, please let me know if that's correct or not. This kid was incredible. He was helpful without being overbearing. He was great with his beer knowledge, but we really sold me was when there was a table behind us that had a son with special needs at this young man treated that table with kindness and compassion and really we need more of that. To the owner of this business, I know that the wait staff gets a very minimal amount per hour because they depend on tips, but if there's anyway you can raise his base pay, I would love to see that we were only gonna have one drink each, but because of how he treated us we ended up having two for me and three for my husband, that young man is an investment

My bacon beef burger was juuust before medium, exactly how I wanted Great flavor, more guac than I thought as I ate through it. Good amount of fries, just need one recommendation: Dipping sauce plz. The appetizer of cheese curds was well stocked to satisfy my craving and came with the perfect dip. I get the feeling if we ate in-house, more dips would be provided on request. So that's bringing up to 4 stars. If I revisit in person, pray I alter it further. ;)

Sweet Thai Chili Shrimp Crispy, lightly battered, and more sweet than spicy. Portion was fair and the sauce avoided the usual sticky-syrup problem. A clean start. Chicken Ciabatta (grilled) + bacon Lettuce, tomato, muenster, spicy mayo -- all balanced well, and the ciabatta held up without turning into a workout. Bacon was the right call. Curly fries came out hot and properly seasoned, which shouldn't be rare but often is. Fish Tacos - Shredded lettuce, onions, lime, boom‑boom sauce, cilantro. Generous filling, a little messy in the way fish tacos should be. Lime kept the sauce in check, and the fish tasted fresh with no off-notes. Tavern 292 isn't trying to reinvent anything, and that's part of the charm. The kitchen hits its marks, portions are honest, and the flavors land where they should. A dependable four‑star visit.

We usually are seated for a full meal. This happened to be our 1st bar experience. There was a women working the bar that day, around 2:30 PM. Not only did it take her forever to acknowledge us (only 1 other party of 3 people in the bar), but while taking our order she was applying lip gloss. It's a little unsanitary I'm thinking. The she made and received a handful of phone calls on her personal cell AND is a loud talker. I guess I am getting old when I can't understand while someone who is at work thinks it's okay to make and take personal calls. Yikes! I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

We walked in and sat at the near-empty bar and were soon greeted by the bartender (woman with long brown hair), who also provided us with menus. After a few minutes, she circled back, and we ordered two glasses of water. Just seconds after ordering the waters, we were asked for ID. Unfortunately, I left my ID in my jacket, which I didn't have with me at the time, so I explained this to the bartender. We were then told that we could not sit and eat without ID (which I have never heard of in any restaurant I've been to... EVER). I left without making a big deal of it since I was hungry from my drive. Stopped here again on Saturday, May 16th, around 9 PM to meet up with friends before leaving Bloomfield for the night. We were told we could sit where we liked and were quickly attended to by one of the servers upon entry. I ordered a water, and my friend ordered the Six Points Burger with fries. This time, we were not carded until we decided to order beer/drinks. Additionally, there was a child in there, no older than 12 years old, eating with a parent/caregiver on this evening- ultimately proving the whole 'you need an ID to eat here' thing false... What can I say about Six Points after these two experiences?... There's a lively crowd in the evening times, and food seems decent, and it's in a prime location on Bloomfield Ave... but it's quite evident that (at least) one of their bartenders is prejudiced and seems to have issues with people of color simply trying to sit and order food. *I called Six Points on May 18th and asked to speak with a manager regarding my experience. I left my number with one of the employees who answered, and he also told me I would receive a call back- sadly, that never happened. To clarify, the employee acknowledged that my experience on April 18 should not have occurred, as I should have been allowed to order food. Lesson learned: Just go to Egans or Just Jakes in Montclair instead of Six Points Pub.

But after I gave it another shot later, I realized they take online orders. The estimated time here does seem to be off though, as I showed up about 5 minutes before the ETA and it was already sitting around being less hot. So maybe estimate picking up even earlier than that. When I came, the place was packed, but it was a game night. The kitchen/pick up area is way in the back, but I will say, their hot pretzel is fantastic. The flavor itself is good and crunchy, but with the cheese sauce, it was truly delectable. It was just pure thick cheddary liquid goodness. It also came with a mustard if you're that sort, but just the combo of pretzel and cheese makes for such a good and quick snack. They also have a trivia night promotion, so I'm interested in checking that out, but for bar food (even to go) is pretty solid.

What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks
