Finally found a great tea spot and since the sun finally made its way out today, a big iced tea was the obvious choice. There are so many teas to choose from and I love that they're organic. All varieties and lots of flavor options. There's also lattes and other specialty drinks if that's more your thing. There's lots of indoor seating in a brightly lit atmosphere with tables and cozy corners alike. They have tea accessories and things like jewelry and candles for sale too. The girls working there were so helpful and generous with recommendations and their favorite teas. If you find a favorite (or more than one), you can also purchase tea to take home. This is a great place!! The best hot tea and friendliest, most helpful owner ever. She gave me a little tea tour and I got to smell so many different teas and learn about each one. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE OWNER. My mother won a tea party through a local news company. She had the pleasure of inviting 12 people. We ended up being just 7. Showed up they have two round tables placed together and several wooden chairs placed. Then they suggested we use these purple couch type chairs which we thought was sweet and accommodating, only to later discover it was an alternative motive. We had started sampling teas and even placed a food order over $80. The free items were okay, HEB bought Macarons and the cucumber sandwiches were really sad. At one point while we were preparing to try a new tea the owner comes over to one of my aunts and asks to speak with her. We were unsure what the conversation was and continued with our conversations. Then everything happened quick my aunt approached my grandmother and my grandmother stood up and they were leaving. The rest of the table didn't understand what happened. We see my aunt and grandmother walking out and the owner chasing them. We sat in confusion not sure what just happened. The owner walks in and up to our table and says "Well that was a fail". And we're utterly confused at that point. Turns out she singled out my aunt to tell her she shouldn't have sat in the "normal" chair but one of the purple as she's had people fall or break them in the past. And she told the rest of our group, "I hope y'all understand" and no we didn't understand. We were in utter disbelief. If you're so worried able these chairs breaking why the hell don't you invest in proper chairs. The OWNER waited 40 mins, 1 tea later, and our order of food to single out my aunt and tell her and then proceed to tell us I hope we understand when ALL of this could've been avoided. She even told her "Maybe you can use two chairs". WHO the hell says that to someone. If you're a plus size person beware the owner is fat phobic. Our entire party walked out and left. I walked back in because I had a few words to the owner but she was no where to be seen, but I spoke with an employee who apologized and said this isn't the first time she's done something like this and insulted people before. She's going to say something to the wrong person one day and that'll be the day. read more

Amazing little drink stop tucked in a beautiful plaza. Immediately upon entering we were greeted with friendly service, and lot of recommendations to try as first time customers. The store is also beautifully designed, and decorated daintily. After much thought, we ended up ordering the iced strawberry matcha and cucumber sandwich. I also believe it was the owner who directed us toward the complimentary tea tasting unit. The strawberry matcha was refreshing, although the matcha taste was light, with more strawberry tones. The cucumber sandwich was also light and refreshing. The complimentary tea was amazing, and made me want to learn more about tea-leaves. I felt like I was transported to Great Britain in that very instant, once I had my drink and sandwich delivered. What stood out most was the way the owner treated and singled out one of the guests during our tea time. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and frankly shocking. I couldn't believe how poorly the situation was handled--no one should be made to feel that way, especially in a public setting. I had originally considered this location for a corporate team-building event, but after what I witnessed, I would never bring my business here. To the owner--shame on you. I had been planning a Tea Party for my daughter and teen granddaughters for a while. I looked at several venues, and decided on LaTeaDa. When I went in to reserve a very nice man explained what we would get and the different flavors of tea. Then he asked for the $200 payment upfront. I paid and left feeling that this would be something very special. We went yesterday and I was not impressed. The tea part was great, but two pots for a table of 5 would be nice. We didn't have a designated waiter and the two employees were way busy trying to do front counters to really take special care of us. What HighTea event can be complete without scones? We got none. Also, clearly the other pastry was from HEB and not great. The cucumber sandwiches were pretty but not delicious. There were a few berries on the very top tier but not enough for 5 people. The half of sandwich each person gets was small and flavorless. Nothing except the cucumber sandwiches were made in the shop. For $200 I just expected better. We all enjoyed the tea, but food mostly stayed on the server. I won't be returning. read more
