    Tres leches latte
    Carree W.

This place reminds me of a house turned coffee shop - it's small and cute but they have a good amount of seating (inside and outside) - feels homey. We were here for an event and decided to try the tres leches latte. It was decent, but I like their matcha better (which I tried a different time). I also had their kolaches (not pictured) and it was really good! All their pastries in the case looked really good! There were a lot of people when we got there, but service was pretty fast.

Friendly service. Got a banana nut matcha and it was surprisingly delicious. Also grabbed a cookies and cream donut and chocolate sprinkle donut and Chocolate milk. I had my little girl with me who loved this place. Definitely a family spot. Out and indoor seating. Plenty of seating and space and a place to chat and relax . Loved it.

I love the decor. They also have some games for friends and family

Really loved the atmosphere at Poppy Coffee. It has such a cozy, homey vibe and feels like the perfect place to chill, study, or relax. Being next to a park and library makes the location even better. The jazzy music, comfortable space, and even the sound of guests chatting all made it feel warm and welcoming. I tried one of their recommended lavender drinks. I'm not usually a big fan of lavender, so it was just okay for me, but that's more about my personal taste since I think I'm more of an original coffee person. I'd still definitely come back to try some of their other drinks. Another big plus is how great the space is for studying or working. There are lots of chargers, rooms with tables, nice views, and even an outdoor section that would be perfect in the fall weather. Overall, such a cozy and relaxing spot.

Poppy's Coffee House has a new fan! My partner and I have been trying to study at poppy's for a few weeks but have always arrived to a PACKED house. We finally woke up early enough to arrive right after opening and managed to snag a table. We stayed until closing on a Sunday and saw so many different people visit just to hang out, get some work done, or even play some board games. The cozy vibe of the house is perfect for getting work done, studying or just hanging out over coffee. The drinks are delicious and affordable which makes them even better. I love that they do a student discount as well. They also rotate their seasonal drinks too! Poppy's has become my new favorite study spot and is definitely worth a try for anyone who has time to stop by!

I went on a day they were having a market. The line for coffee was long, but they were pretty efficient. Once my order was placed, it came out quick. I ordered the brown sugar chai iced. It was a tad bit sweet for me, but that was my fault. I usually am good about modifying my drinks. They had a fall menu of drinks available too. I like they also offer refreshers They have a case of pastries from different businesses in town. They had cake thieves pot tarts. Of course I had to get one. It's pretty big inside. They have a cozy couch area and then they have tables and chairs. They have outside seating too. Parking is available on site. Best part is that it is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed inside.

I came here a few times and it hasn't disappointed. The set up of the place is very cozy. They have an area looks like a living room to give a home feel. They have plenty of seating inside and outside and they keep it very clean. The customer service was great too. The people were really nice, gave good options on the drinks to my preference, and fixed one of the coffees when I wanted it sweeter. I had the Linda Honey which was delicious. Not overly sweet and can taste the cinnamon. My friend wanted the salty maple latte and she said loved how creamy and sweet it was. The whookie cookies and cream was also pretty good and glutten free. Overall it was a good experience and would definitely come back here.

Poppy's is always so highly recommended by people I know, I just knew I needed to give it a try soon. I've been twice now and LOVE the vibes and everything they have to offer!!!! Their chai is out of this world. Their matcha is anything but earthy , it's delicious and smooth. If you need a new coffee spot that doesn't have a drive thru - and love supporting small businesses- poppy's is the place to go!!! Bakery items I've tried and obsess over - jalapeno cheese kolache , blueberry cake donut, pecan sticky bun (ask them to heat it up! Sooo good) Sit on their comfy couch in the "living room", enjoy the weather on the patio, play some board games, bring your friends and enjoy the cozy vibes! You won't regret it. Operating hours - Monday closed Tuesday- Fri 7-3 Sat 8-3 Sun 9-2

I love going to Poppy's, whether it's for their OG menu or their specialty/seasonal menu, it's always phenomenal. The staff is so incredibly nice and welcoming, the vibes are perfection and feel like you're in someone's house, it's like a warm hug!

We went to Poppy's for their Craft Sunday and it was exactly what we needed, cozy, creative, and full of good vibes. Everything was so thoughtfully set up, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. I tried the apple pie chai, and WOW -- it was fall in a cup. Perfectly spiced, not too sweet, and so comforting. Easily one of the best seasonal drinks I've ever had. Whether you're there for the crafts, the drinks, or just a relaxing Sunday hangout, Poppy's totally delivers. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful coffee shop. This place has amazing drink options, great pastries, and a very pleasant and peaceful environment to hang out. You can choose, inside with couches or tables for studying/working, outside vibes with pleasant view of trees and a calming nature vibe (compared to strip malls). Great find, right next to the Leon Valley library. Staff is very courteous and kind. Very cool place.

This place is so cute. They had a variety of beverage options for coffee and non coffee items and a few pastries. The customer service was great. They were very knowledgeable and helpful when we needed to tweak a drink. They have alot of sitting space inside. A cozy area and two other rooms. Also on the patio the have tables and benches out in the front. Deff recommend especially if you need a place to relax while you study.

I went around Valentine's day and their seasonal coffee was really good! I got their strawberry tres and I thought it was a little too sweet but my friend thought it was just right, so it depends on how you like your coffee. The inside has a lot of tables but it get's full pretty quick so if you want to work inside make sure you come a bit earlier. The workers are all super nice and gave use recommendations and the drinks came out pretty quick.

Matcha Latte with Almond Milk and Raspberry

What a charming café! Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! I was so pleasantly surprised to stumble across this café while out the other day. It's a house turned coffee shop so it blended into the neighborhood pretty easily, but it's in such a cozy area. It's right across the street from a park with a trail and nextdoor to a library so you can take your coffee and go for a walk or chill out with a book. The place itself seemed really good for studying or working as well with a nice quiet atmosphere, ample seating, and either sleek or cozy rooms to set up shop in for a few hours. Since it was so nice outside, I sat out on the huge back deck to enjoy my order in the fresh air. I ordered the Matcha Latte with Almond Milk and Raspberry, along with a Spinach and Feta Pastry and a Jalapeño Kolache. The Matcha Latte was pretty good! It was smooth with a thick foam layer on top, and though the Raspberry tasted a little off to me the flavor of the matcha itself was really nice. The pastries are what truly sold me on the food and drink. The bread on the Jalapeño Kolache was super soft, and the yummy melty cheese enhanced the sausage that had a nice little kick to it. The Spinach and Feta Pastry was the best spinach and feta pastry I've ever had. The creamy savory filling, soft and delicious pastry, the textures, the flavors, everything about that pastry was absolutely phenomenal. It was hands down my favorite part of my meal. I'm most definitely looking forward to trying Poppy's again. I recommend going earlier in the day if you're looking for a snack as the pastry selection was pretty slim by the time I went mid-afternoon. That Spinach and Feta Pastry alone is worth a trip!

My sister and I stopped by Merit so I can try and rate the cortado for my silly little cortado review series. I also ordered the Purple Haze Latte and a poptart (courtesy of Bakery Lorraine). The cortado was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because normally Merit's coffee is too fruity (and a bit funky) for me, but this was bold and right and made my ears tingle. Nice and creamy, and not watery. A very top notch standard cortado. The purple haze tasted like relaxing on the beach. It even had little bits of dried ube on top, like a little purple sandy beach. I'm pretty glad Merit's making me re-think their beans. That cortado is something I still think about, even though it's been about a month since my visit.

Pandan is often described as the "vanilla of Southeast Asia" with a fragrant, mildly sweet taste, featuring strong notes of coconut, vanilla, and toasted almond. My last experience with this one on the other hand was very pleasant. The baristas were super friendly and swift with our order, the cafe itself was clean despite a decent sized crowd, and our order was pretty satisfying. We ordered a Matcha Moon Latte with Lavender, another Matcha Moon Latte with Hazelnut, a Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, and a Mixed Berry Poptart. Our Matcha Moons were both pretty good; while the lavender was rather subtle and melded well with the moon milk, the hazelnut was in fact a little heavy in flavor. The Poptart was very sweet and yummy, though I admittedly didn't eat all of the crust, and the Muffin was an equal blend of chocolate and banana, rich and moist, and was absolutely delicious overall. If I'm ever in the mood for Summer Moon I will most definitely go out of my way to visit this location. This trip definitely changed my view of Summer Moon in its favor!

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.

I FINALLY made the trip in and it was a mixed bag. The interior of this place is super sleek and has two registers: one for coffee, the other for CBD products. The baristas were chill, there's ample room for study groups, and with the quiet atmosphere I think it'd be a great place to focus and get work done. I ordered the Honey Lavender Matcha with Almond Milk, and I can't say I was all that impressed. The matcha was muddied by the other flavors, but even those flavors were indiscernible. I ended up taking off the lid to inspect the drink and sure enough, you could tell by the color of the drink as well that there wasn't enough matcha. There was barely any Lavender flavor, and there was only a hint of Honey at best. Truly it tasted like warm almond milk with a subtle hint of a weird mix of muddled flavors. At least the sweetness of the Honey cut any potential bitterness and it wasn't too grassy? Even if this drink wasn't a hit, this place is too cool for me to just write off. I'd like to return to see about another menu item and hopefully stay for a while longer next time. For now, I'll give Archie's 3 Stars for the drink and 5 Stars for service and establishment.
