This location is pretty hard to beat. I had the huevos rancheros both mornings I was there and the mollettes con pollo the second morning. The cafe Mexicano is delicious! This place was OUTSTANDING. It is a very well ran establishment with quick, efficient, and friendly service. There were a lot of really interesting looking choices on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order. Our order came quickly and both of our dishes were AMAZING. Fresh, quality ingredients with nice portions. I had Vera Cruz eggs and my boyfriend had something with chorizo in it and they were both so yummy. The coffee was also very good and they refilled it without asking. My boyfriend had fresh pressed juice and it was very inexpensive. We enjoyed the saxophone player who was playing live as well. The breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. We will absolutely go back and highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This a must go to if you are visiting Zihuatanejo! My friends and I came here for breakfast and it was wonderful. Despite the 95 degree weather we felt very comfortable as there were fans on the terrace to keep us nice and cool! Of course, the view was absolutely gorgeous and that is priceless. I ordered the Pobretones and added avocado and it was absolutely delicious. Also, their juices are to die for, my group of three all got different juices and they were all so refreshing and fresh! To top it all off there was live music playing, even though it was 9am, the musician delivered some very relaxed and peaceful music! Overall 10/10 experience, a must go to in Zihuatanejo! read more

Great view tasty food. Walked in for lunch after friends had recommended. Sat away from the railing but still had a good view. Host & servers were friendly and welcoming and our waiter spoke some English. I am vegan and ordered the vegetarian sandwich without cheese or mayonnaise and my partner had cheese enchiladas. When they brought the food I was given a veggie omelet. I explained I had ordered the veggie sandwich with no cheese and mayo. They took mine back and left the fries which I ate as an appetizer while my partner ate his lunch. He said the enchiladas were good and when my sandwich arrived it was hot and tasted good. This place has a really spectacular view of the bay. The food was okay, but I had hoped for better. I had the stick tacos, which were fine. My wife had chicken enchiladas and a creamy red sauce and those were pretty good. My youngest daughter had banana pancakes and she really enjoyed them a lot. My oldest daughter ordered the Italian sandwich french fries and the sandwich was quite terrible (just a couple slices of burnt pepperoni and salami on bread with one piece of lettuce, tomato and a red sauce that didn't have an ounce of Italian inspiration in it. I suppose the lesson here is don't order an Italian sandwich and Mexico, but it's what called her name. The worst part of the experience was the drinks. My wife ordered coffee and I'm pretty sure that it was Nescafe. My daughter ordered a strawberry smoothie and I ordered a banana smoothie and both of them came out with a lot less ice and a lot less cold than I would expect a smoothie to be. The strawberry was sour and my banana smoothie pretty much just tasted like banana and milk mixed together, which didn't really quench my thirst. On a 90° day. My wife got a tropical juice mix that was pretty good. To sum up, great view with okay food that takes quite a while from the time you order it until the time is put in front of you. read more

Ordered green juice which was fresh and yummy. It was a perfect start followed by huevos diablas. Fabulous chile sauce on the diablas. It was accompanied by handmade corn tortillas. Yum!! Our dinner on the terrace overlooking Playa Madera was excellent. Best food we have had in Zihuatenejo and actually one of the best meals we've had anywhere recently. We had the grilled mahi-mahi and the grilled shrimp along with a shared fig salad. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly and with the right amount of yummy seasonings. We took advantage of the 2x1 margaritas which were also great. Service was exemplary and we were treated to some nice music for a while. It was a bit confusing trying to find the place because of the dual locations but they had people out to help. Right now only the beach terrace is open. Find this place- it's definitely worth the effort. Hope to make it back for some other items on the menu before we leave. read more

This place is so well-run, with excellent service and friendly staff. Small but good menu ranging from tacos to fish. The Caesar salad was beautifully presented and excellent. The corn soup was like eating fully dressed elote- fantastic! My mahi was expertly prepared as was the beurre blanc. Only 3 stars because my wife's ribeye was literally too salty to eat- as in you could feel salt grains as you chewed. We didn't complain because our waiter was just so nice. I LOVED this place! We were just walking through the streets and saw this place. It had an amazing balcony view overlooking the canal. It immediately caught my attention so we decided to try it out. First off, the service and venue is awesome!! Also, the BEST PART...when I asked for coffee they asked if I wanted American or Mexican coffee. "Mexican coffee of course!" I said. Why would you have anything else in Mexico. So...this coffee was AMAZING! The best coffee I have ever had in my life. When we decided to come back and eat here, the place had closed down for a month (very common there during low season). What a bummer! Also, the food was amazing! I had some eggs with red sauce on the top and some green beans on the side. My friend has Chilaquiles of course. Both delicious. You have to eat here if you are visiting Zihua. We had 2 meals at La Terracita during our one week stay. We had lunch at the Terracity in town and then b'fast at the one on the beach. The menu is the same both places and delicious. The Enchiladas Suiza w salsa verde were a fav. The churros at the town one were better / fresher. They weren't as good at the beach restaurant. I would say if you were to pick one of them to go to, the one is town is better for the freshness of food and service. Overall great spot! read more

We walked down the quaint street near our Bungalow and found this place to have breakfast.. first we had the coffee.. ohhhhhh the coffee was so delicious. The Mexican Coffee was is traditional. It's " De La Olla" which means slower cooked for hours with piloncillo.. Mexican sugar cane and cinnamon.. also the American traditional coffee was the best we've had here.. ordered fresh fruit plate..Good....n Fresh.. my husband had huevos rancheros . Was in z for a week with 12 friends from San Francisco, which automatically makes them food snobs. Out to dinner every night and most nights half the table hated the food. This place, they all LOVED IT! We were at the beach one ...they have 2... and it was pretty reasonably priced for a restaurant on the water with a view of the bay . I love this place! I arrived early in the morning to Zihuatanejo, the first I had was an amazing "cafe de olla" then I ordered molletes. It was just delicious! The guacamole is amazing! The salsas and the juices as well. I had the opportunity to have dinner as well, the ceviche was just so good! And the chile relleno was so tasty! This is our favorite restaurant in Zihuatanejo. Lots of places with grills but this has so much more. Complex flavors, wonderful sauces, time consuming entrees that are wonderful. There are two Terracita's. The one on the street is the one we enjoy. It is a different menu than the beach facing restaurant. The one with the exceptional food and fair prices is the one overlooking the street. This is a must for Zihuatanejo visitors. read more
