Everything is the best at Maderas! It's located on the beach at the Arena Suites, which is where we stay. We ate here each day, sometimes for breakfast, some for lunch and often for dinner. We would try elsewhere for dinner, but the food was never as good. The staff gets to know you and we also knew each of their names. Armando and daughter Priscilla run a great restaurant. The ambiance cannot be better, literally in the sand at the edge of the ocean! Don't miss this gem. I personally liked the enchiladas Suizas best, and the avocado filled with shrimp is a favorite of us all. The never oversees it all and the service is top notch. Candlelit dinner on the beach is very romantic! We have come 3 different years and will keep coming back to our oasis at Maderas!

This shrimp was amazing and the meal was perfect.

What an amazing location with great service! The ceviche tropical was my lunch one day and utterly amazing. Then I also had the shrimp with garlic though it wasn't very spicy. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. Literally on the beach in front of the Arena Suites Hotel. Hotel AND restaurant very amazing.

It's always a joy to come here and eat. We came last year and couldn't wait to get back here again. All their food is amazing as well as the drinks. You're on the beach listening to the waves under the stars. Yeah What could be better? Happy hour is 4-6 . The Little early Owner is super adorable and the staff is spot on. We will always come back.

All the food here is fantastic and the drinks are a step up from your average bar Management and staff are very friendly. Clean restrooms. Can't say enough good things about this spot.

Incredible food with an incredible view. No frills seating and very friendly servers made lunch there perfect. It's the ultimate beach bar and restaurant.

It was very hot while we dined and there was no breeze. A fan would have been wonderful! The bad: You choose 2 or 3 courses for $1300 or $1500MXN. At this price, you expect really exceptional food. This just wasn't the case for us. I ordered the steak, which came with a green sauce and potatoes. The potatoes were delicious. The filet was more like a sirloin but was more tough than a sirloin. It was very disappointing, but more than that, when the server asked how everything was, he seemed as if he already knew the steak was tough. I ended up getting the coconut shrimp (4) instead. They were served on a bed of cooked and spiced apples along with a salad rolled up in thinly sliced jicama similar to a sushi roll. The second course I ordered was dessert. The pictures don't do the presentation justice because it is so dark, but the food is beautiful. Paying this much for coconut shrimp and dessert (basically a molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream) really left me feeling very disappointed. Would not recommend nor return.

Since we are celebrating 30 year anniversary, we wanted something special. Located on the Promenade near the fishing boats. It was authentic, and service was friendly and prompt. Our starter was Guacamole with thinly sliced and fried plantains, with crumbles Mexican cheese on top. A green spicy salsa, and one that I thought was sundried tomatoes but was charred plantain and chilis, which was sweet and amazing. It was delicious. Another appetizer was tuna (catch of the day) tartar. Fantastic. The main dish was catch of the day. Mine was charred Red Snapper with chili's and corn garnish. It was so good, I even ate some of the skin. The fish was cooked perfectly, moist, melted in your mouth. My husband had Seared Tuna, he said was the best ever. We are foodies from San Francisco, California and felt this dish would be in the Michelin Star category. We forgot to take pictures of the food, but now that the book is finished. Go there, see for yourself. Hopefully, you'll also have a fantastic experience.

Hopefully they will update some I let them know it was open. This time was perfect. The ambiance was lovely. It is not by the beach, but is really pretty with a water feature, open airy feel and live music. This year the music was nice, and we all got up to slow dance. Very romantic and fun. Our best friends that we were with also enjoyed and both couples enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. JD, the captain of the servers, was super friendly and attentive. Judy our server was super sweet and attentive. Top notch service for sure. The BBQ ribs were great! Our friend had the quail, and she was not impressed. Pork chops were really good also. We had Caesar salads (fresh, crisp, not overdressed), my husband had the shrimp chile relleno (I did not get offered the traditional bite to taste and his plate was wiped clean, he said it was really good) and I had the snapper and shrimp in a cream sauce with mushrooms and jalepenos and veg/rice - the fish and shrimp was very good, not a bit of that left; the vegetables were cooked properly, not overdone, rice was also properly cooked. We shared the Z lime pie for dessert, which had a sorbet type consistency vs a custard - very cold and refreshing. Our server was attentive but not overbearing and was fun to visit with. With plastic chairs they should put cushions on top to prevent sweating. (Our hotel has cushions on the outdoor dining areas because it's so hot here and sitting outside can be uncomfortable without a cushion). For our meal we ordered the specials. While beautifully plated somehow it lacked a little flavor on mine. My hubby had prawns with sailfish in garlic butter. Also we were given a fish amuse bouche which had 3 chili pepper condiments. They were all very very spicy. I barely had any, like a tiny taste and my husband as well, the result later being that my husband and and I were pretty sick all night and the next day. He actually had to go to the doctor 2 days later as he was still quite ill and in pain. While There was a significant burning in my stomach from the chili acid, he believes his situation was probably some bacteria in the food which is too bad because the restaurant is pretty upscale and clean so I doubt we got it from the ice. Anyways we can't go back. I also think the waiters could check on the diners to see how the food is after you start eating to make sure it's ok, like other waiters at these surrounding restaurants do. Somehow This never happened.
