$4.50 for some powdered mid horchata btw
    Kevin N.

Had been going here for a couple years during my kid/teen years with my parents , revisited 3 years ago quality wasn't too bad. Came back yesterday 10/20/24 and when I say I didn't even wanna write this review because of how traumatized my taste buds are , I mean it . Started with the horchata , used to be super good and nowadays it just tastes like the KLASS powdered horchata I can get at the store. They really charging $4.50 for the powdered horchata guys. Oh but it gets worse ! The salsa was too blended and it wasn't salsa you can just call it soup . The crackers literally broke apart and dissolved in your mouth like dust , couldn't even hold its shape . We got an appetizer because my girlfriend was getting Mexican later with friends ,but I just wanted Mexican early in the day so she got the choriqueso. They should've just called it the chorigreaso because the amount of grease that built up in 1 scoop was crazy !!! That should be a health hazard ! The tacos were so bland no seasoning at all not even salt bro, we got 1 each. Should've left when we saw them because how you gonna call yourselves a Mexican restaurant when you can't even get a taco right ? Oh and it wasn't served with any sauce at all NOR A PIECE OF LIME ! How do you expect people to eat your dry a** tacos if you don't provide any sauce ? When I had came here before the pollo al carbon was not $20 bro so I didn't pay too much attention to the price my guess was it went up a couple of dollars not literally $9 dollars like what yall taxiinggggggggg ! Now let me say how it was . The rice had no seasoning . It was BLAND , the beans were okay not the best but not the worst and I thought it was hard to mess rice up especially if you're branded as a Mexican restaurant but I guess I've been mistaken ! Literally we didn't want to cook so we came here but my girl can make a Mexican rice that will knock this rice out of the park BY A LANDSLIDE . Wanna know why that's embarrassing? Because my girl isn't even Mexican ! Let me tell y'all bout the chicken though. 1 word . DRY. Please don't waste y'all's money that chicken was also bland and it made my stomach feel like world war 3 was starting . The waiter was at-least very decent and his service was awesome . I really hope he finds a better work place or a restaurant where the cooks make the food with love to compliment his service , because they did not do my boy justice . It was around 3 on a Sunday and this restaurant used to get packed . I wonder why it doesn't anymore . Don't waste your money here . This isn't authentic Mexican cooking because authentic Mexican cooking is made with love and care for the customer . It's also made with SEASONING !!!

Pretty disappointing meal today. When you see Mexicans all going to the Mexican restaurant you'd assume it's going to be amazing food. YUCK! No flavor at all. The chicken chimichanga was ok but the hamburger meat is flavorless. Beans and rice are terrible. I was completely disappointed and didn't even eat my meal. I asked for sone of the homemade tortillas but he never brought them. He brought the food and never came back. I had to go chase him for the check.

Great chips and Salsa..and they had cold Budweiser..so Tony was happy

We went to "La Terraza" one day before going to the grocery store. It is located on Nolensville Pike Rd in the Old Hickory Shopping Center between Kroger's and Babies R'Us.. We had never been here before and I didn't read any reviews before we went..so we were winging it. It turned out pretty good. The restaurant is large and clean. The workers although hispanic (of course hence Mexican cuisine) spoke GREAT english..the salsa was FAB...I could drink the stuff or run it through my veins...LOVED IT. We ordered our food and it was delivered very quickly and it was Very good. We would definitely go back again. We both recommend it totally to anyone. Give it a chance!!! on 11-02-2012 we REvisited the La Terraza restaurant for dinner. It was about 6pm , on a Friday night and we were the only patrons..my hubby got worried and said "you should have checked Yelp first"...lol !!! The interior has had a new revamp, with new chairs and better lighting to make it look brighter and cleaner..the bathrooms was horrible. I ordered the Burrito Terraza..it was so salty and I got sick almost immediately 1/2 way before I was finished. My hubby got the Burrito Mexicano, it was a pork burrito with NO SIDES...so he thought the description included beans and rice, but the waitress said NO..lol!!! It was good he had no complaints. I got out to the parking lot and got sick again!! and then at Walmart I got ill twice..hummmmmm.....I won't be eating there again!!!

The setup inside is adorable and had a cozy, relaxed vibe from the moment we walked in. Our server, Tom, was absolutely wonderful. He even asked if we had any allergies when ordering, which we really appreciated even though we didn't have any. It honestly showed how much they care about their customers. I don't think I've ever had a restaurant ask that before! He was also super attentive and kept our waters refilled so quickly throughout the meal. One thing we really liked was the atmosphere. We loved all the fun live music spots around Nashville too, but this was a nice change of pace if you're looking for more of a chill, relaxed vibe where you can easily enjoy conversation during dinner. We both ordered the asada tacos and they were SO delicious, exactly what we needed. The rice on the side tasted incredibly fresh too, and the tomato and corn mixed into it were the perfect addition. You could tell everything was made with care. The staff was constantly cleaning tables quickly after guests left, and overall the service was just amazing from start to finish. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back next time we're in Nashville!

Asada Tacos: Honestly, pretty bland. The meat was cooked well but it lacked any real flavor. Salmon: Nothing special. Didn't feel like high-grade fish. Pork Belly Tacos (The GOAT): Absolute life-changing Pork Belly. As someone who's eaten a lot of pork belly, this was easily the best I've ever had. I'd come back just for this. The Portion: Tacos come with rice and beans so the portions are very generous. You won't leave hungry. 4/5 stars. The only reason for the 4-star rating is that incredible Pork Belly. It carried the whole meal. Highly recommend for that dish alone!

The place filled up pretty decently for a Monday afternoon, but our service was still great. Spicy, skinny margaritas on happy hour always make me happy. They were good, too -- plus a tajin rim *chefs kiss*. We had chips and salsa, fajitas, tacos, taco salads, and everything was solid. I wouldn't say my salad was mind blowing, but I was happy with it. No gripes from our table and everything came out nice and hot. Our server was very friendly and checked on us consistently, even if it was a glance from afar.

Most of the disappointment came from the hostess, Emily. She seemed rushed the entire time--she took our drink order, but while we were still looking at the menu, she walked away. She came back briefly, then left again, making it hard for us to ask questions or get recommendations. Because of that, we didn't get any guidance on what to order. When the food arrived, mine was way too spicy for me to eat. Thankfully, another waiter stepped in and offered an alternative I might like, which I appreciated. Overall, the service felt rushed and inattentive, and the experience just wasn't enjoyable. I wouldn't go back.
