    Vegetable Fajitas

Really enjoyed our dinner here last night! I was surprised at all the vegetarian options they had including vegetable fajitas! My husband got a beef burrito and said it was delicious. Our waiter was so sweet too, I would highly recommend going here in the future!

An inch of mold on my salsa!!! Yuck. Why is salsa prescooped and not labeled!

I got a to-go like I do every week. Got back to my office and opened my salsa to an inch of mold. So, now I am grossed out and I don't want to eat a thing. I took the food back for a refund. I only received an oh, ohh, sorry! Missed my lunch, wasted my time and gas. And you don't even comp a meal!!! My entire workplace is giving this spot a no now!

Maybe not the best sign of authentic Mexican food to come

Not sure about the reviews claiming that this place is authentic it it's good for what it is: Nashville Mexican food. I had the burrito California. I have no clue what makes it California. It wasn't the queso covering it or the lettuce inside. The salsa they serve with the chips was likely a close relative of the bottle of ketchup also found on the table but if you ask for the hot salsa you're in for a very spicy treat. It was really good and I couldn't get enough despite the burn. I would go back if the desire for a queso covered burrito hit while I was in the area but it won't be a destination.

Met my friend Anna here for lunch one weekday, and we basically had the place to ourselves. I like it when the food is good, the servers are attentive but don't bug you, and you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. All three were the case here. We had the chunky guacamole appetizer - yum. It's super chunky, not like a typical smashed up guacamole at all. Because of my spice-wimp factor, the japs were on the side, which even super spicy fan Anna was happy about because they are in season and were super hot. I had a California Burrito - really good. Covered the oversize plate hugeness draped in yummy queso... what more could anyone ask for? Nice chicken to other goodies ratio, and I think I even detected some celery in there... that was a first. (And yes, I ate it all. The diet can start tomorrow!) The restaurant is quite clean, furnishings and decor are typical Mexican place, but again on the cleaner side. Wouldn't hesitate at all to visit here again when in the area.

I really like El Sombrero. Have been here many times. Will be back infinity times Very clean. Very friendly. Should be much busier than it is. Good guacamole and the veggie chimichanga is my favorite.

Lunch special steak fajitas for $7.99 - best part of my day! Do it!

Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. We wanted a booth but were told it was reserved even though no one was ever sat in it, but the table by the windows was nice to watch the nightlife go by. We started with the salsa trio, guacamole, and chips. I loved having a variety of spice levels for everyone at the table, and the guacamole was easily one of the best I've ever had. It was incredibly fresh, with the perfect balance of heat and salt and just the right amount of chunky avocado. Even the chips were perfect! For our main course, I ordered the cauliflower tacos with rice and refried black beans to split with my daughter-in-law, while my son ordered the chicken tinga enchiladas. My daughter-in-law also had the soup of the day which was a poblano pepper cream-based soup. She said it was very good. The cauliflower tacos were the star of the meal for all of us. Whatever combination of flavors they use is absolute perfection. If I hadn't filled up on the guacamole and chips, I would have ordered another one. I'll seriously be dreaming about those tacos! Even though we were completely stuffed, we couldn't resist trying the queso flan for dessert, and I'm so glad we did. It tasted just like the flan my Tia makes in Puerto Rico. Absolutely out of this world! From beginning to end, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. If you're in Nashville and looking for a great authentic restaurant, this place is an absolute must-try. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! If you want, I can also make it a little shorter and punchier for Yelp, while keeping all the best details.

And you can tell Mas Amigos is going to be good from the complimentary salsa and chips. The sauces are all fantastic. The enchiladas are delicious. I don't even like beans and I literally love their bean enchilada! The cheese enchiladas is probably their best, with the chicken coming in second. They deserve the high ratings, and you'll thoroughly enjoy what they have to offer. Amongst the hundreds of Mexican eateries on Nolensville Road, Mas Amigos is definitely a standout.

My only critique was with the syrup. It's promoted as buttermilk syrup but it tasted like strait caramel/butterscotch. Think of those little butterscotch hard candies.
