A hidden gem for sure. Tried many Mexican restaurants in Gallatin, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville & nothing compares to this place. The fajita salad very good. Loaded with steak. Had the pork burrito today & it is the bomb. I don't usually like Spanish rice but I could have ate a tub of it. So stinkin good. Service is great & very friendly. It's a must try. It was pretty okay. We wanted to try something different than our normal go-tos and opted for here on a Friday night. It wasn't busy, so that should've been a tip...but we went ahead. Prices are a little higher than say Las Palmas or El Sombrero for the same things. The margarita I got was pretty much just strawberry mix with little alcohol if any. The salsa though is by far the best I've had-which made me give it 3 stars as it would've been much lower. My chimichanga was room temp when it came out. It wasn't great, just good. My boyfriend's fajitas didn't come out sizzingly but we're steaming once he moved them around. He said his were good but I'll admit mine was just okay overall. There was also a weird "sewer" smell is all I can call it ever so often wafting through which was unappetizing. They weren't busy but it took forever for our waitress to check on us and then to bring the check. I'd recommend other places in the immediate area before this one again. read more

Sorry gang, just didn't do a thing for me! I read all the great reviews and thought, cool, finally a place like LA style but not so much. The frozen margaritas tasted like bad mix and ice, the food was uninspiring and the service was lax. The worst part was our meals came out literally 15-minutes apart, and I ordered fajitas while my husband ordered 3 tacos, yet mine came out first and was cold. I will give them 2-stars for the chips and salsa as I thought that was very good. With all the competition in this area, I'm afraid we won't be returning. read more

The most legitimate sit down Mexican restaurant out here that reminds me of places in LA. The space is huge and although their hours aren't posted, they always seem to be open late (which I love). Their guacamole is fresh and chunky! Their refried beans are also really tasty here for some reason. Carne asada is delicious and not too fatty. The reason for the missing star is because one of our orders usually comes out slightly wrong or different than how we asked it to be. It's not a big deal but it's just kind of annoying when you order food knowing full well that something will not be right. Some of this may be due to a language barrier. It's very helpful to know Spanish if you come here! Wish mine was better. It's still worth a visit though because their food is authentic and always delicious!! read more

I would classify this place as just your standard, run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Food was definitely good, but not anything extraordinary. All the combo meals are $8.99 which I found to be a decent value! Lots of food (I got the #8: quesadilla, enchilada, rice & beans). It wasn't very busy and our food was ready in less than 10 minutes I didn't see a drink specials anywhere, so I asked our waitress & she said it was 2-for-1 margarita & draft beer, which was an especially good deal considering the regular margaritas are normally only just $5! So that came out to just $2.50 each, which is nearly unbeatable. The drafts are $3, so that's a great deal also! I went on a Wednesday evening so I'm not sure if that's the Wednesday special or how often they do that, but was definitely incentive to come back! So delicious! I'm bummed I ate before I remembered to take a picture. I had the mariscado especial. The ceviche was the best I've ever had-- and I'm from Southern California. We went on a Sunday night and it was packed. We were lucky to get a table. It is kid friendly with a great kids menu. The prices were pretty high for nolensville... Food is spot on. Always hot, fresh and authentic tasting. Service is spotty. It depends on the individuals working that shift. Some servers and bartenders are very attentive while others are either preparing for the restaurant or are occupied on their mobile phones. I continue to eat here because the food is so darned tasty. Hard shell, ground beef? Are you sure you didn't walk into the Taco Bell down the street? I was raised in Mexico and Southern California, San Diego and Los Angeles areas. I have lots of family and friends in livestock and agriculture. My grandfather was one of the best providers of blue agave mezcal to the surrounding tequileras including Siete Leguas. I had heard good things about this restaurant and judging by the Facebook reviews, thought it would become our new favorite Mexican place. However, I was unhappily surprised. We ordered nachos to share and the "supreme" plate came with shredded lettuce, two slices of tomato (not diced) and sour cream, plus a very runny cheese sauce that turned our chips to complete mush. Our waitress was the lady with the shaved sides and ponytail. She was so nice and genuine and friendly. She even told us she was from Cuba and made sure to explain all specials (happy hour & menu). This is why I was so excited to go back! Fast forward to last night - me 4 of my friends, & their kid were looking for a happy hour location for this week. I immediately chimed in and suggested this spot. I raved about it and told them about the 2for$5 margaritas. They were sold! They got there before I did - immediately upon walking in they asked for a table. They were told to wait (even with the restaurant being empty). One friend went to the restroom while we were waiting the same waitress from last time walked into the bathroom and basically hit her with the door. Although it was an accident, she LAUGHED and didn't even apologize. So we sit out the patio, our waitress was a young girl who looked like she could care less about working or making money. She was slow and very rude. She took our food and drink order & one friends order was wrong. she asked for a Marg no salt and a fajita chicken quesadilla, no veggies with salad and rice. A different waitress came back to ask her again what her order was. When they finally brought her food out it was so wrong!! The waitress with the shaved sides snapped back and had an attitude that THEY got the order wrong. Even to that point, we were still polite. I don't understand how they treated us like crap when the mistakes were on there end??? Food was great but then it came to our checks. we asked for them and 20+ minutes later the lady had not came back. There were Only TWO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the restaurant besides us. So we get our stuff and walk in from the patio. All the waitresses are just sitting in the kitchen laughing and talking like we weren't even there waiting on them. Finally the host goes to get our waitress. I let her know that it has been 20 minutes of us waiting on her. She didn't respond. Just rudely turned to the monitor and printed our check. We all tipped regardless of the terrible service. As we were walking out, the waitress with the shaved sides calls us "Negra Puntas" - my friend with a 4 year old child heard her!!! I confronted the guy worker outside and he went and told them that we heard them and how rude it was. No apology nothing. We paid 20 plus dollars to be berated, have shitty service and to be treated like we were in the wrong. This is so disgusting, disgraceful & a poor image of your business. This establishment, their employee and the owners should be ASHAMED that they allow such disrespect and terrible customer service. I will never refer a soul to this place again. If you want to stay in business, work on getting employees that treat your customers better. read more

Another couple walked in a minute later & she sat them while completely ignoring me. Then the bartender(shaved sides/ponytail) came around the corner & asked me what I wanted. I told her I was just wondering if they had a bar. They do & i'm currently sitting at it alone. The happy hour is a good deal. The bartender was gone for about 15 minutes so I asked the young host for a straw for my drink. She looked at me, clearly annoyed & in disgust of my presence, & just walked off. BTW, I'm not a homeless bum. I'm wearing $200 shoes & gold watch. To be honest I probably do look a little homeless, but still. Since I started writing this the bartender has been gone. This is close to my work and we come here often. Service is usually bad, but the quality of food and drinks has always been much better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Today however, after ordering Top Shelf Margaritas and watching the bartender pour them out of the premade Margaritas, we won't be back. Mexican food scene here has slowly improved and they are doing a good job of traditional and "gringo" for lack of better words. I will definitely return. This place has gone downhill in a hurry. A few months ago it was excellent, although the wait staff was curt and often dilatory. Our latest meal was truly dreadful and the service was as poor as ever. I ordered shrimp and fish, but no fish was in the dish. Our waitress shrugged it off when I mentioned the mistake. My wife's taco salad was just ordinary. I think management has changed hands (we did not recognize any of the staff) and so has the cook. We checked out this place based on reviews from neighbors on Nextdoor and absolutely loved it! This new restaurant has all you could ask for: bright and fun decor, clean environment, sweet and attentive staff, and delicious food! They have a lot of your typical Tex Mex staples, but the food is very fresh and you can actually see and taste the real food items and ingredients that are used in their meals, unlike your typical Mexican food joint. My husband ordered the Pollo Loco and it was a freshly grilled chicken breast served on a bed of rice, with a block of cheese, avocado, and a side of their home made tortillas. I ordered several a la carte items and they were equally delicious. Their pico de gallo was divine and served in a large stone canister - for $2. The chips were really good and the salsa had a good consistency, but the flavor was a little weird to me....it almost had a horseradish taste to me. We had the bean dip which was really good and then I had the Chile Relleno which was delicious! They had an entire page of the menu dedicated to fish, and the shrimp did not disappoint. My friend had the flour tortilla shrimp tacos and they looked really good. They also had 2-for-1 margaritas for Happy Hour.....I don't know the hours of the Happy Hour but our server only brought the second one after I finished the first one so it wouldn't melt down. If I were to say anything to ownership, I would beg that they do 2 things outside....one, open the umbrellas when they are open so it looks more inviting and, two, get some high trees/plants to (maybe) cut down on the noise from Nolensville Pike.....it was super loud. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on a whim. I wanted huevos mexicanos and they delivered. I was bummed that their menu offered it with bell peppers but with a simple request I got it with jalapenos instead. Our server also offered us traditional salsa as my husband is Mexican. I'm sure anyone wanting some extra heat could request the same. We only had our youngest with us on this trip and she enjoyed it as well. We had enough leftovers between the three of us to feed hubby again. He was very impressed which is hard with him as everything is compared to how his mom made it. I had to tell her that she need to throw that one away and give me an another one.
