Overall, La Terraza is a really sweet dinner spot with good service and decent food. The mojitos here are .... INSANELY GOOD! Definitely should've gotten a pitcher. I tried the mango and coconut, and highly recommend both. But, If you're looking for very authentic Venezuelan menu options.. this is not it. It is much more generalized "Latin" food with highlights of Cuban, Spanish, and Colombian staples. I want to see them add a true Venezuelan stuffed arepa to their dinner menu- those are so so good! Their mini arepas de chicharrones were super crispy and delicious. But their paella definitely missed the mark. Although the seafood inside was cooked well, the rice was so so flat- and with paella you've got to get the rice right. Probably for many in Little Rock without a Latin background (Caribbean and South American Latin) this place is great. We ordered two appetizers to share, but wished we had ordered more. The portions were smaller than expected, so it was not enough food for four people. While it lacked in quantity, the quality of the food was great. We came here because we wanted to try the mojitos. While the drinks were fresh and delicious, none of our four different types of mojitos had even the slightest taste of alcohol. We were left wondering if there was in fact any rum in our drinks. This was an excellent place for happy hour. Went here after work two days in a row. Although only went for drinks the food smelled and looked fantastic. This place definitely requires partaking in their dinner delicacies. I tried the mojito, commodore, spicy margarita, mango daiquiri, and spicy rum mule. All drinks were very well made and had great flavor. The bartender was very energetic and talked with his clientele. He was looking to please and that's always a must. If I lived there I would frequent this place more often. My only recommendation is that for the happy hour pitchers of mojito instead of three shots of rum being used that they consider 4 or 5. Only because they are not very strong due to the large amount of ice and other ingredients contained within the pitcher. However the single glass mojito measurements are on point! Staff and servers are very attentive and always walking around to make sure clients are happy. This place is very welcoming! In the fall and spring they have a really nice outdoor deck. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to go for date night last night (which can be difficult because of all the COVID closures), and luckily we stumbled upon La Terraza! We had the absolute BEST time sitting out on the deck drinking "mega mojitos" and eating paella! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all absolutely excellent! We actually just booked a reservation for brunch tomorrow with all of our friends - that's how much we loved it! Make sure you try a ginger + champagne mojito (it's not on the menu, but we apparently pioneered it yesterday and it's AMAZING). PS - This restaurant is taking COVID precautions seriously - which is definitely a big positive right now. They made sure to take down our contact information (even though we were walk-ins), all of the employees were wearing masks and face shields, and we saw them doing a great job of sanitizing tables in-between guests. read more

We sat inside and all the tables were spaced and the staff wore masks. First, come hungry! You will want all the courses! We started with Trio Empanadas--so good! Great sauce that comes with them. I ordered the Zarzuela de Mariscos a seafood paradise! The beau ordered the Grilled Octopus and I'll admit I was hesitant at first to try it but it was fantastic too! We splurged and ordered dessert. But back to the food: Fried yuca and the dipping sauce (bell peppers, cilantro ... ) were yummy (even if only seven fries were on that $7 small plate). Rice and black beans and fried plantain also were yummy, though a tiny, tiny side portion to the pernil, which was flat, needed more flavoring (a $20 main dish). But the tira misu was delish. As was the pineapple mojito. Because I am a germaphobe, I won't go back unless someone tells me they cleaned the dirty, plastic-covered menus. I'd have given four stars had the menus (and the tin bill/check folder with longstanding encrusted stuff and brown stains) been clean. Right. I politely tell the lady I've been waiting over 40 minutes. Food comes out soon after. I go home. No salad in order. I try to call to tell them. No answer. Pasta was mediocre. For the main dish tried the sea food in tomato based sauce which was rich, aromatic and went well with the whole ambience of rich flavours They also have a Bacardi based specials going where you can have a prix fixed three course meal with Bacardi rum if that's your thing. Our server Juan was informative, friendly and well informed about the different menu items and liquours What brings it down to a two star? We had a Gay couple sit close to our table with their friends and it was clear early on from the way the staff snickered and laughed at the back of the bar at them was very insensitive. The couple was expressive and although the staff was not visibly homophobic their reaction to the couple was visibly dismissive. I would like the staff to know that people notice not only how you treat them but also also how you treat others around them. Me and my fiend had a very positive experience with the food quality but it may be useful to perhaps consider sensitivity training for the staff to accept people different than them and not just 'tolerate' them but to truly accept them as customers. It got really uncomfortable and obvious and that really the only reason and a valid one I believe, why they dropped to where they are. read more

Saw this restaurant featured on DD&D and made it our first stop in Little Rock. We were eager for the experience that we had read about online, and weren't disappointed!! They seated us outside under a nice tree on the outdoor deck, overlooking the street. As the sun went down the string lights came on. Very romantic. Started off with the coconut and raspberry mojito on the recommendation of our server, Daniel, who was very friendly and professional and gave us lots of great menu advice! Both mojitos were refreshing and sweet, with lots of limes and crushed mint. A must try!! For our main course we got mini arepas, carpaccio de lomito, pernil al horno, and surimi crab salad. The arepas came with a side of fresh tomato salsa that was so good. The carpaccio was light and a great appetizer. The rice and beans that came with the pernil al horno were very flavorful, as was the pork. Mmmmm so tender. The surimi crab salad was also good but next time we'll probably opt for a salad with a spring mix. Lots of mayo! All in all the place definitely lived up to the hype. There are a surprising amount of spots with gluten-free menus in mid-town Little Rock, but I'm glad my gut lead me to this delicious destination. The indoor dining room is cozy and the staff and other diners became friends almost immediately (the patio space looks amazing but it was a monsoon the night I visited). The mojitos are top-notch and I enjoyed sampling pina colada and some of their ginger rum. At the suggestion of a staffer, I got the Pabellon Criollo - the mom's meatloaf of Argentina. The shredded beef was perfection - lots of seasoning and savory juices - the egg gave the dish creaminess and the plantains added a touch of sweetness. A lot going on in one tasty dish and one of many items I would love to go to town on next time I'm in town. read more

Love this place! I never came to Acadia when it was here, but the new La Terazza is a delightful place. The atmosphere is playful with highly colorful art inside, and the best patio in Hillcrest outside. Prices are more than fair and happy hour has $4 Mojitos! La Terrazza is delicious. It's a breath of fresh air for South American cuisine in Little Rock. I honestly think they have more seafood than ice ever seen in an Arkansas restaurant. However, the prices are pretty high. It could be good to have a happy hour to draw people in. Our server was fabulous! She went through the entire menu and wine list, offering suggestions. She also suggested a quick dish for a friend who arrived later. She rocked! I hope she stays! I did notice that their wine bottle was $37 when the glass was $9. If we had known that, we may have all ordered our own diverse selection. I feel that the bottle price should be a bargain in order to encourage its purchase. Wine bottles are approximately 4 glasses (4x9=36). We are wine gals--from Arkansas, DC, and California--so we know the trade. I'd specifically ask bottle prices if returning. read more
