My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary at Rex's. On our reservation, my husband noted that our wedding cake was a Rum cake and we rarely get it, but if they could make one it would be appreciated. (We ask every year) Not expecting them to honor it because it's a BIG ASK in food service - they went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We were given champagne and they made a rum cake for us! We were crying with gratitude, the hostesses and wait staff were crying, and it will be an anniversary to remember. The ambiance and decor was edgy and modern. You could actually have a conversation while it not being too quiet or too loud. Oh and the food was fantastic! We ordered crispy rice cabbage salad () a patty melt, Khao Soi, and two cocktails. Unbelievable quality. Even better service! Our waitress, Parker, was knowledgable about everything on the menu, suggested the fries (don't skip those), and very attentive. We will be back. read more

Nice little neighborhood place. About 10 tables. Will say that it's really loud inside. Not music, but just loud from the table talk. Good food. Really large portions. First time at Rex's today and was highly impressed! The staff, atmosphere, and food were all stellar. Parker was an excellent waitress. When it comes to Arkansas and foreign foods, I think we need to do better than just our southern salt and pepper seasoning. Bring on the Thai spices!! The pad kra was good, I'll give it a 7/10. It needed more of a Thai punch. I get it, people here have a soft palate but come on lol. I added some extra gochujang, chili flakes, and Thai chili to elevate it and all that made it work. Those wings though are outstanding! Extra crispy and hot to order. I prefer wet wings but the fun does come into the dipping process and their sauces. The burger looked fantastic and tasted good. The bun just doesn't stand a chance, it'll become moist from the heat and not stand on its own. But I still give that a 7/10. I am eager to come back and try other things. Their kimchi gravy schnitzel is something I want to try soon. Will be back for sure! read more

We had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and decided to reserve a table on our anniversary and it certainly did not disappoint. Every thing we got was absolutely delicious. The service was incredible, the staff worked together like a well oiled machine AND they were all happy and appeared to love their jobs. Oh. My. Gosh. Love love love. Little Rock doesn't have a place like this right now. A place with several different options that cater to everybody, but also that hit the mark every time. I ate the Khao Soi and let me tell ya, wow. I love a curry, but struggle to find one that isn't insanely spicy and this coconut curry was so flavorful and delicious without setting my mouth on fire. Lots of textures and flavors and so good. The Pad Kra Pow and Rangoon Dip were great as well. Got the crab Rangoon dip which was amazing. I got the garlic spinach schnitzel which was cooked really well but needed more seasoning. My boyfriend got the patty melt. The the jalapeños in the sauce were really good, but the burger itself needed more seasoning. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table so I would definitely recommend making a reservation, but overall the service was really good and quick. read more

Rating a 3.5 for now. Cool spot for a quick date night or one or two girlfriends night out for drinks. Atmosphere/Service: Okay art and cool atmosphere. No loud music so you can talk to and hear your guest. Some of the seating is family style and some individual which is cool. Drinks are amazing and staff is attentive so which made it great service! Food: Menu concept has a variety of food items. It has more Asian flare but also has a few items from other food cultures. Not quite a home run with all. The Appetizers we selected were good. I like the spin on the desconstructed crab Rangoon. It was really tasty and adding the cheese on top gave it a unique taste. The chicken wings were perfectly fried but sauce is required to develop taste. Which is fine if they were going for Korean Type fried wings. Dipping sauces were okay, chile lime is refreshing but not made for fried wings. Gochujang sauce was good and sweet chili heat were fine-Flavors were just as good as a store bought bottle. I was excited to try the crab fried rice but I found it to be dry and the flavor bland. It needed more vibrant veggies. The veggies were cut tiny so the flavors didn't come through like the roasted corn inside or the scallions. I couldn't taste they were in the rice. The "blue crab" was almost invisible. However if you use the sweet chili sauce on the rice it gives it a punch! Portion sizes were large-some too large. And usually that's a sign the food is probably not that great. Chicken Kimchi Stacker-The kimchi on the chicken sandwich was great but couldn't completely deliver enough flavor for the double fried bland chicken. It needed a special sauce to give it a kick. As for the entrees, we wrapped them up for take home. I added more scallions and rice vinegar and a touch of lite soy sauce to the fried rice. And I would probably go back to try other items. I would definitely return for the bar, and great Rangoon dip! Overall, No explosion or burst of flavors but it is well prepared and well presented food with a great staff. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The menu can seem like a large range of food items but it's all so so good. There are a lot of Asian fusion items, Thai food, and classic diner items. I got the meatloaf and mashed potatoes - it came out hot and so so delicious. My boyfriend got the Curry Kimchi Schnitzel and that was also superrr good! We worried that it might be heavy but it was perfect. It was also such a large portion! We also ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was delicious and perfectly cooked! Highly recommend giving this place a try! As a resident of the neighborhood we had been frequent customers unfortunately that changed when my son was stereotyped upon his arrival. He needes to go to the restroom so he walked ahead of to seek the restroom. As he walked in, he asked one of the staff for the restroom, and she stated it was only for customeInstead of her asking, if he was a customer, she assumed that he wasn't the customers. Such a great restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. We had two babies with us and managed to spill two glasses of water, but at no point did anyone make us feel like we were a bother. The crab Rangoon dip was an absolute 10/10 and a must-try. The cocktails were some of the best I've had in Little Rock, and every dish we ordered was fantastic. The vibes were also great. Loved that it felt like an experience! We happened upon Rex's while driving thru. It was worth the stop! It's a cute little place with incredible food. We started with the bang bang cauliflower which was perfectly spicy, k bbq popcorn chicken which was top notch, and the seasoned cheese curds which balanced the other two. The food is incredible. Tikka Masala Schnitzel was delicious. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the schnitzel was perfectly crisp. The crab rangoon dip and calamari are a must try! Then when you thought it could not get better the Thai tea cheesecake was probably the best dessert I've ever had. The staff was so nice and attentive to our large party. I got take out, the Turkey Pad Kra Pow. While the turkey itself had a good flavor, the rice was way off. It was a mixture of overcooked mushy rice with undercooked grains that had the texture of chalk. I'm shocked no one checked the rice, but it was awful and totally ruined it for me.
