Picture from social media looks different from what I got.

Been wanting to come to this place ever since I seen it on instagram. I got the chance to try it for the first time but unfortunately for me it wasn't what I expected or even seen on social media, here's some pics to see. In my own experience here to share my sandwich experience Enjoy. But the taste on the torta is good .

I definitely want to vist this vendor again! They serve a mean Torta! I got the Torta Milanesa for breakfast . It was packed! Very layered and hit the spot! Next visit I'll will take more pics! But you can locate them off of tenth street! It's hard to miss them! Look for an orange food truck!

Wow, I wish I came here sooner! Always had my eye on this place since they've opened up here in the…read moreplaza. The location of the store seems a little far away because it's in the corner by Safeway's gas station off to the side, so I imagine some people miss it. So keep an eye out for it next time you're in the mood for some hot subs. Chris, the owner, was so kind and explained everything to us. He was patient, informative, and professional. It's nice to see owners work at times and treat their customers so genuinely! So thank you, Chris! The store is honestly decorated so well. There's details everywhere on the wall, and it's all dedicated to San Jose culture and first responders. The ambiance felt local and cool. Now for the food, my husband ordered the Build Your Own Sub with Pastrami and it was delicious! I ordered their new and off the menu French Dip sub with aus ju and IT WAS SO GOOD. Highly recommend to get it now while they have it! Special notes: - All subs are served hot! - They have a hot sauce bar with unique sauces all leveled off from (1-10). 1 = mild and 10 = spiciest! Affordability: both of our subs came out to be around $20 for two large subs. Some people may view the prices as pricey, but if you get a large sub it's definitely worth it. Check out the photos for reference (I don't think the photos do the large size justice though because they are HUGE) and give Firehouse Sub a try for yourself!

Thought I'd give it a try. I like sandos....err subs. I placed an order online and picked it up without any issues, just the way it should be. My order was ready and waiting for me when I got there. The venue at the corner of a newer shopping plaza. There is a decent amount of seating inside and outside as well along with plenty of parking around. #Sandos: ~ Hook & Ladder - 3.5/5 The most basic one...I think. Smoked Turkey breast, Honey Ham, and melted Monterey Jack cheese, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, no mayo for me, and deli mustard with a pickle spear on the side. The sub were just okay for me, nothing amazing. ~ Firehouse Steak & Cheese (Large) - 3/5 Looks much better in the brochure. It's fine, tasted OK. Nothing to brag about, don't let the sando sit around. Make sure you finish it all at once or it will get soggy... may be its because of the oil and vinegar dressing I opted for? Not sure... The wheat bread is a tad too sweet for my liking and the white bread is just plain and flavorless. I do wish they provided options like Sourdough or Dutch Crunch, which also happen to be healthier for you. I wanted to complain that they were expensive but then realized that's how it is everywhere now. That food inflation is no joke... I'd stop by if nothing was around. Not so sure I need to try other items on the menu.

The BAE was great in size! It was enough for me and my husband to not feel overly full. It was a bit messy, so id be cautious of this if you aren't looking to get your hands super dirty Their tots were super crispy and enjoyable as well! Inside the restaurant is a bit on the smaller side but we came during the late morning on a weekday, so service was very attentive and there were plenty of seats. Parking lot is a bit tight considering there are other shops in the plaza but still a good amount of spots for you to park.

I was there during brunch time so I went for the breakfast burger. It was amazing. The buns are super soft. The egg was fried well. The burger is very flavorful and messy in a good way. I debated on getting some tots. It is a pretty filling burger. It's hard to mess up tots so sure it would have tasted fine. Also tried the b.a.e. burger too. It was good too. The coffee is also good. The prices are ok. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I'm curious if the fruit teas are any good. Next time.
