    Vegetarian sandwich
    Anisha Y.

Tasty subs! My main qualm is that they only have one vegetarian sandwich option. It was delicious and I loved the caramelized onions, but I wish it included some protein. It's a bit pricey, so for that cost I would like a protein option. That said, I was very happy with the sandwich overall--it was perfectly toasted, and the cheese was fully melted, which you don't always see at sandwich shops.

Always a friendly and clean restaurant to walk into. Sandwiches are on point and they have daily specials for medium sized sandwiches for only $10.99. Plus they support our local community enforcement branches - fire, police, and BART officers. Thanks for coming to our neighborhood Firehouse Subs!

I have come here a few times when the sandwich craving hits and there is an enticing email deal that pops up. Their online ordering system is reliable and the food is always ready waiting for me on the shelf when I enter. I gravitate towards their Italian but the Hook and Ladder is quite tasty as well. I appreciate being able to add olives, caramelized onions, and banana peppers as they make the sandwiches complete. I also like their bread better than the other sandwich joints. Pricepoint wise it is a little expensive without any deals, but their deals do come around quite often. Will definitely repeat coming here.

Sis placed an order online for me to pick up this afternoon. I went in and the manager or possible owner noticed the sandwich had been made way too early from the pick up time. He told the workers to remake it as the sanwich would be too cold to eat by now. Big plus for that. I enjoyed the sweet and spicy meatball sandwich with a side of garlic bread. The sandwich was delicious!!! Love that they do not skimp on the sauce. The garlic bread could be more toasted but I'll go ahead and re-toast at home.

Great service -- the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location's in a nice, clean plaza near Berryessa, and it was pretty quiet, which made for a pleasant stop. Loved the fire station theme inside -- fun decor and a cool vibe. There's even a hot sauce bar with tons of options! Tried a few and especially liked the honey and pineapple hot sauces. The sandwiches were okay overall. I didn't get to try one of them fresh -- it probably would've been much better then. As-is, it tasted a bit mid to me -- not a lot of flavor, too much bread (and a little hard), and the meat-to-bread ratio felt off. The BBQ sub was definitely the better one -- more flavorful, with coleslaw and toppings that made it more unique; 7.4/10. Other sandwich: 6.5/10 Solid service and a fun theme overall -- would come back to try another combo fresh!

Delicious subs at terminal A,right next to security checks inside, I had a breakfast steamed and egg that I wish to have two. It's that good.

I'm a big fan!! I first tried Firehouse because of a T-Mobile deal, and now I've been back 3 times! Their sandwiches are really good, I would say it's quite simple but they use quality ingredients. The bread is so yummy and soft! The cold meats as well, wow the honey ham was delicious. Seems you can't go wrong with anything, I like and tried: HOOK & LADDER ITALIAN TURKEY BACON RANCH They also have a sauce / hot sauce bar, lots of variety. Service is also friendly. Place feels nice and clean. The app is pretty nice and you accumulate points. They give deals quite often, and their daily medium sub for $9.99 is a great deal. Thank you for also doing 12 Days of Christmas deals! Love their story and how they support firefighters!!

Stopped into Firehouse Subs to pickup a Pastrami sandwich to split with my wife. Pastrami Sandwich - with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and delicious mustard (4/5). The service was friendly.

    Cute art

Really great service, owner Chris actually helps daily operations and is respectful to his Latin employees! He speaks to them in Spanish which is really beautiful to see! Chris talked about how his restaurant has helped contribute donations to firefighters as well as first responders. We love to see it ! Very helpful and kind . We will definitely be back soon

Cool little sandwich spot with a lot of character. The pictures on the wall tell you everything you need to know about the place -- community pride and good vibes. I had the honor of having my order taken by the manager, who was polite and welcoming. The food came out pretty fast, but I still had time to look around and check out the local fire department photos. I even spotted a San Jose Police SWAT picture on the wall, which was pretty cool. Overall, it's a solid place to grab a bite -- definitely worth coming back to.

When I first tried fire house subs in Seattle it was actually pretty good. First time at this location and it just didn't hit the spot it was missing some lack of flavor. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing . Don't know. The staff was really nice and the restaurant was brand new and very well upkept. I'll give this place another shot and maybe my rating will go from a 4star to a 5

    Benny H.

Pretty good sandwich spot. In a world full of Subway's, it's nice to have a few alternate options. Variety isn't that big, but what they have is really good although their medium size feels kind of small, but thankfully their large actually feels like a large. Good quality food for a sandwich shop. I'll be coming again.

I went here after a YouTube video I saw ON ACCIDENT. My Youtube was autoplaying videos on the TV,…read moreand I saw this place and thought "Man, I wish we had a place like this in San Jose." Then I realized the video was highlighting the best food spots in San Jose! I live in West SJ and it's a 20 minute drive to Antipasto, but I didn't mind, I had to find out for myself. I hurried up and went there immediately, only to realize they were closed on Mondays. My mistake, I actually went online to check their schedule, and got into the menu a bit too passionately, that I forgot to actually check their hours. So I went back on Wednesday, and decided to double check that they were actually open this time. Upon walking in, I was a little intimidated to be honest. Everybody looked like a regular, while I walked around like a headless chicken trying to figure out which side of the store to go to. Nick noticed that, and went out of his way from behind the counter to guide me and my wife. He let us know where to go for sandwiches, the butcher, raviolis, etc... Me and my wife got the lasagna dinner with 2 meatballs, and TBC beef ravioli W/ salads. It was love at first bite. This place was better than all the Italian places in San Jose, without a doubt. Yes, I'm talking to you Original Joes and Maggiannos. All throughout our meal, we noticed people chatting with Nick and the rest of the staff as if they were family. Who knows they might be! Nick continued to include us by talking to us and making us feel welcomed. We are fans for life! Great food, great service, what else can you ask for? I just can't believe I never knew about this place after living in San Jose for 30 years.

Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.

It's been lacking some logistics and sometimes, it's difficult to hear the order being called out while lots of customers are inside. Wait time to receive order was a bit over 15 minutes. I ended up standing around waiting and waiting, thinking about why I even tipped the place when my anxiety levels were escalating. This thick sandwich can definitely feed two people. Watermelon beverage tasted good too. Tables weren't all wiped down outside, but I can see the few employees hustling and bustling. This is the perfect grab-and-go spot for your Japanese cravings…read more I have been to Fugetsu at least 8 times at this point and will definitely come here again. This spot is located in Strawberry Park in Saratoga and is right next to Clover Bakery. While Clover Bakery tends to have longer lines, I personally have never run into a scenario where Fugetsu is packed. There is no seating, by the way, and parking can get a little hectic because of the nature of this plaza. I will say that over the years, Fugetsu has really stocked up on its selection and range of food. When you first enter, they have their stock of okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and generous bentos. As you turn the corner, they have sashimi, onigiri, dons, and more. Sometimes I get decision paralysis, but in a good way. I want to note that while I have never been disappointed by the food I get here, there isn't anything that has blown me away either. That being said, whenever I am having a picnic, this is the first spot I think of when I want to stock up for my friends and me. What is cool about this place, too, is that half of the store is dedicated to food, while the second half has merch, trinkets, and dinnerware. They carry Sonny Angels, Smiskis, loads of Miffy items, some Sanrio, and if you're a Sylvanian Families collector like me, you'll really enjoy it here. That said, they do upcharge quite a bit on some items. For example, a Sonny Angel at Mitsuwa (in the same plaza) can be around $16 (which is still expensive), while here it's closer to $21.
