The Churro Kouign Amann is one of my faves, but today they also had Apple pie, original and buttermochi. Always regret not getting more once we finish them all! Best macarons in my humble opinion, my daughter's fave is cookies and cream but I love the guava and mango. Shout out to the associate that assisted me today, she was so nice while I called my daughter to ask for her flavor requests. This place is easily one of the most unpleasant spots to walk into on the island, yet we keep coming back because the food is genuinely good. Their house iced coffee is a favorite, the kouigns are excellent, and the brisket bánh mì is especially good. Their other sandwiches are solid too. That said, the customer service and hospitality here are consistently disappointing genuinely sucks. I don't leave negative reviews often, but this has been hard to ignore. We come here about twice a month and have yet to experience a warm welcome, a smile, or even a simple "hi" from the staff. Every visit feels cold and uninviting, like the employees don't want to be there. Cleanliness is another issue. The tables are rarely wiped down, and the floors almost always need sweeping. The bathrooms are the biggest concern. Despite having coded locks, they're often in terrible condition--even shortly after opening. On multiple occasions, within 20 minutes of opening, both the men's and women's bathrooms had paper all over the floor and unflushed toilets containing both "number ones and number twos. It's become a recurring issue and unfortunately takes away from what could otherwise be a great experience. I was introduced to La Tour and their sprouted bread at our local Costco after searching for a healthier alternative. The taste is similar to wheat bread. I do like the little seeds that are mixed in which provide a pleasurable chew here and there. Purchasing the double loaf was good for the past 3 years or so but they've suddenly stopped selling it at Costco. I messaged the biz on IG but haven't heard back. Other grocers on Maui do sell La Tour bread but not the sprouted variety. Until they return, I've found another brand at Whole Foods. read more

First time at this location. Parking sucks... this one way loop around the building situation that they have going on here is cumbersome. As for the service and food, I think it's a bit pricey. The meatball banh mi tasted mushy this go around. I usually love this banh mi but this location had it too mushy. The fries were hot and delicious. Ever since Yelp Elite All Star buddy Donna O. introduced me to the mint julep drink here at La Tour Cafe... well I've been a fan. Now there's a new twist called the Strawberry Melon Mint Julep drink. The La Tour Cafe Strawberry Melon Mint Julep is made with watermelon syrup, strawberry puree, mint water, and a splash of lychee lemonade, and is served over crushed ice. It's a bit on the sweet side for me, so I mix in seltzer water. Very refreshing on a warm day. The combo includes a macaron. I ordered the chocolate haupia but I was given just the haupia one. Correction: I did receive the haupia chocolate macaron. My mistake! When I bit into it, I saw and tasted the chocolate! It was not visible from the outside! My bad. After my order, I observed a sign for Misfit Macarons at 6 for $12 plus tax. It's a blind box, so you don't get to choose your flavors. Cute promotion so I fell for it! Embarrassing, I reviewed the wrong restaurant, Tous Les Jours. La Tour Cafe on the Nimitz is the correct one. On one of our trips to Hawaii we tried the pastries at Tous Les Jours. The Apple Pie Kouign-amnan is one of the better ones we have tasted. The other kouign-amnans are good but nowhere near the Apple Kouign-Amman. We tried the Apple Pie, mochi and crème brûlée ones but the Apple Pie was the best. It has a good amount of apple topping, little crispy too, soft on the inside and chewy. An excellent kouign-amman and a very good price point. B Patisserie inside the Kona Coffee Purveyor shop in the International Marketplace has pretty good kouign-ammans but at a very high price point. La Tour Cafe isn't in a convenient location but worth a trip to pick-up some pastries for a few days. We didn't buy any sandwiches this trip but we did try a meatless meatball sandwich on a prior trip. The sandwiches are worth a try too. read more

There are many positives to this restaurant but also negatives. There is great free ample parking. Convenient place to eat after shopping at Best Buy or Home Depot. There is a special deal where if u buy a drink then u can get a macaroon for $2. The cashier forgot and I would have been overcharged if I did not double check the display. The restroom was really dirty with discarded paper towels/toilet paper on thewindows. It seemed the bathroom was not cleaned for days. I like La Tour Cafe but this isn't my favorite location. When I was in college, I'd eat the paninis on campus, and after college, I'd still eat the paninis at the other locations! Living here, I felt like this La Tour always lacked with their food. I didn't try their food this time, but Donna O. was so kind taking my Dad and me! This La Tour is spacious with lots of seating for pairs and small groups. You can order at the front where they also have a display case of their well-known macarons. You can get your food after being called. Service is fine, not much contact aside from offering with workers. I've tried many things at La Tour Cafe. My heart has a soft spot for their paninis but I've always enjoyed their macarons and other pastries in the past. This time around, my friend treated us to the Mint Water! I've always seen her drink it and was curious and I can see why she loves it, it's so refreshing! La Tour Cafe is a well-known local chain around the island. Stopped in thinking this location would have some of the vegan items the Kakaako location would have, but apparently not, so we weren't able to eat here as we had my vegan parents with me. The location seemed alright, although it was a little dark inside perhaps in contrast to how sunny it was outdoors, and the seating seemed like it was a bit crowded. This location has convenient parking, as well. The workers were also reasonably polite when telling us they didn't have any vegan items at this location, which I appreciate. It is odd to me that the locations don't have the same things on offer, but I am glad the Kakaako location has vegan items, so at least we can go there. read more

Just order at the counter and there are some seats inside to eat. The service was good. I got the La Tour smash burger which was ok. Delicious sandwiches and burgers! We ordered a single teriyaki wagyu smash burger and the chicken shawarma sandwich. Both bursting with flavor! Picture of the burger doesn't do it justice. Comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and lots of Teri sauce. My husband said he liked the burger better. The chicken shawarma might be a little bit on the dry side with the hummus and chicken breast, but still tasted great. More sauce may fix this. Garlic fries were bomb. I've been here a few times but I always forget to snap a picture because the food is too good to wait! I've tried their hamburgers, salads, macaroons, caramel brûlée puffs...just about everything and it's never a miss. I actually don't really like macaroons either but theirs are SO FLIPPING AMAZING! And the bread on the "pho"ggie just makes the whole sandwich. The garlic fries are GARLICKY. I love it all! Sometimes the ordering staff isn't the friendliest, but never rude. There's usually seating at the tables, it's a comfortable environment, and we can always find a nearby parking. I am ALWAYS down to visit this place and will forever be a return customer. read more

I recently re-discovered this eating place and will definitely be coming here more often to grab take-home meals. It's very good especially their salads, banh mi sandwiches, and the kouign-amnan! I fell in love with the creme brûlée kouign amnan! It's that good! I guess their flavorful and colorful macaroons are popular. It's on my must-try list. However, the dine-in section at this location is not very warm & inviting. The parking situation is also a bit odd, one way only and you will have to drive all around in the back of the building (passing the shipping entrances, bins of all the businesses) to get to the front. I met up with Janey since she left her bag in my car and I suggested we go eat. Not wanting to have to deal with parking, we decided to check out La Tour since she had had a almond croissant from them in the past. Well, the baked goods are a few doors down, and they only sell that krugen something. So we just ordered lunch. I got the brisket smashburger and she got the veggie burger. Both were very good but it was the garlic fries that were amaaaaaaazing! Nice and crispy and chunks of garlic. I also ordered the cheesy mac n cheese which was ok. This review is only based on their macrons. We got the 12 set of macarons and chose a couple of different flavors. We went with the cotton candy, chocolate, Lilikoi, birthday cake, and blueberry. Their macarons are great because the inside cream isn't as sweet as some can be. There is enough sweetness in just macaron themselves. My favorite flavors are the cotton candy and the Lilikoi. We haven't been here in awhile. La Tour Cafe on Nimitz is a bit out of the way for me. There are a bunch of parking stalls, but of course during meal times, it can get crowded. This parking lot is pretty horrible, since it's one way, but at least it's free. Their food is always pretty great, though. On this particular day, the fries were not as crispy and hot as we're used to. And the mac and cheese was, dare I say, too cheesy? It was definitely entering a level of gloppiness. But the pork belly banh mi on special was on point! We asked and they weren't sure how long it would be the special, but if it's still there, get it! So juicy, the bread was nice and fresh, and the fresh and pickled veg just balance everything out. read more

Parking can get pretty crowded because of all the other businesses in the area. But the mint water is what I usually come for because it's so refreshing and I can't leave without a macaroon. I've tried all the flavors and they don't disappoint. La tour café probably has the best macaroons I've ever had. I also tried the wagyu melt oh my goodness that is so good so creamy with some spiciness from the jalapenos and so flavorful it is pretty small for the price you pay and it doesn't even come with fries or chips or anything so I think they should do something about that . The prices here are already really high and most of the time you don't get what you pay for because the portions are pretty small. I'd come here more often if they had better deals and lower prices, but I do come here to treat myself. There is plenty of seating inside it can get pretty busy, but the turnout is pretty quick. The service in the front is always fast and they have always been so nice overall such a great cafe! read more

Located off Nimitz Highway on the right side heading Ewa next to Lowe's. Went there for lunch I had the single bacon burger with jalapeño which was good and we shared the garlic fries and regular fries which was tasty and different, because they use fresh potatoes with the skin on. The macaroons were very good especially the Lilikoi, the cookies and cream were hard to tell the flavor still going through the different assortment of flavors. They run about $3.00 each. I recently visited La Tour Cafe for lunch. I've been on a few other occasions, but I sometimes forget they are in this little shopping center. Let's be honest, I only pass by this way when I'm on my way to Costco, so I'm on a mission and don't have time to stop to eat. This last time though, my aunty said she wanted a sandwich so I suggested La Tour. I like the sandwiches here and it always smells like fresh baked bread, which I think adds to the experience of eating a sandwich. I had the pesto sandwich and even though it's kind of a simple panini, it was still delicious. They have some fountain drinks too that are unique, but I stick to getting the Vietnamese iced coffee. The inside is kind of dark, but there are several tables and it's clean. The high ceilings make it feel large. You can also buy goodies like cookies and macarons. You can also buy loaves of bread. I know some people who come by La Tour for bread instead of buying the same thing from Costco because they think it's fresher. Idk. read more

Been coming to La Tour since I could drive myself to it. I'm an adult with adult money and no one can stop me....and you can also grab lunch/dinner here. I'm really grateful that the food and macarons are still consistently served well. My favorites are still the melts, garlic fries, and chicken tenders. And whether I order it in-person or delivery the food is still hot and great to eat. The dine-in area hasn't changed in a long time and I can't complain about that. It's still a great spot for studying, dining, meetings, and anything in between. If it's not broken, don't fix it! And the same goes for the business. Nothing is broken so no need to fix it!
