Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Latin, and European food. You will not find a Harris Teeter or Redner's here! The big bags of fruit/vegetables are all $1.00. The fun part is trying to figure out to what to do with massive bags of apples, green peppers, mango's, oranges, bananas, lemons, jalapenos or whatever they have that day. ( I share the vegetables with three neighbors) 2 1/2 dozen eggs $.99! The cheapest place for rice wine vinegar and Nori!

I was pleasantly surprised at the selection. They have quite the selection of both latino foods and ingredients as well as some Asian items. All these items are pretty tricky and difficult to find in the Dover area. Walmart, Target, and other grocery stores in the are do not carry these items. Staff attentiveness and friendliness is lacking a bit. I was not approached by anyone about help with finding anything I needed. The meat counter staff was friendly. They provided information on what they carry and even informed me that they would be receiving another delivery soon if I would like to come back.

We…read moreboth thought it was a little pricey for the portion and decided it would be a 'one and done' situation where we've basically: been there-done that. Service was excellent in the bar. Last week, I noticed a Facebook post offering a new $10 Happy Hour menu with a food variety so we decided to go give it another try. Once again, nice and clean inside, excellent service in the bar. Brooke was awesome! Our drinks were full, she was very attentive, excellent service. The food however was beyond disappointing. My other half ordered a smash burger, I'd say it had 1/2"-3/4" open space all around the burger where it was significantly smaller than the roll the cheese slice makes the burger look larger than it was. A smaller bun, may not have noticed but this was quite hysterical actually. I had the chicken quesadillas and we joked with a friend that was with us that it appeared to get run over by a steam roller as there were only small nibbles of chicken and cheese in the very bottom of the tortillas, top half was completely empty. Unfortunately I did not think to take pics before my plate of extra tortillas was cleaned off the bar. Not me after our friend ordered the surf and turf sliders. When that came out, the sliced pickles on the sandwich were larger than the burger, and there was one shrimp on the slider roll, which also had pickles and lettuce on it. (The toppings of pickles and lettuce were supposed to just be on the burger). Nevertheless shrimp, still had, half the shell on it and didn't cover the bun and once the pickles were removed from the burger, the burger ended up being maybe the size of the Sacajawea dollar coin, maybe an old fifty-cent piece. So, overall: nice inside, clean, excellent bar service but the food portions for $10 are laughable and we surely won't be back after this.

I asked for a fresh cup of coffee and even joked that I'd leave a bigger tip if it was fresh, but the coffee I received was still terrible. We also had to get our own silverware after asking for it twice. To top it all off, when the bill arrived, there was a 3% service charge added without anyone mentioning it beforehand. Unexpected fees should be disclosed upfront, not discovered when it's time to pay. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we won't be returning.

The cashier seemed a little frustrated, though it looked more like the stress of a long day than poor customer service. I placed a to go order, left a tip, and waited outside. My food was ready in about 20 to 25 minutes. I ordered the blackened scallops and the crawfish étouffée. The scallops were $13 and the portion was much smaller than I expected. More concerning, they had a strong ammonia smell and taste, which is a common sign of spoiled seafood. I ended up throwing them away. The crawfish étouffée looked promising at first. The roux had good color and a nice thick consistency. Unfortunately, after a few bites, I noticed the same ammonia taste in the crawfish. (Portion for this was a good amount) seems wasteful due to the ammonia taste. It is a shame because I wanted to like this place, and the étouffée showed some potential. Based on my experience, the quality of the seafood was a serious issue and made the meal disappointing. I hope the restaurant addresses its seafood handling and freshness.

I kept my request incredibly simple: boiled or baked potatoes and steamed vegetables. Shockingly, they told me they had NO vegetables available. The server was kind enough to ask the chef if anything could be prepared for me, but after checking, she returned and said, "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do for you." So while the rest of my party of nine ate food that was oily and overcooked, I sat there with nothing but a glass of water & a wine. The only vegetable they had was green beans, and they refused to even steam those without oil. In today's world, accommodating a basic dietary restriction with something as simple as potatoes and vegetables should not be impossible. Extremely disappointing experience, and unfortunately not a place I'd choose to return to.
