While driving I noticed Meding's Seafood off to the right and decided to stop by later for dinner. Upon arrival , the parking lot was full. When I entered it appeared to be a store where you could buy Fresh or cooked seafood and seating for dining in to the left. The gentleman that helped me stated there is heated outside seating with live music. I opted for that and went outside and ordered a Sierra Mist, fried shrimp, and fries. The food was okay. The server was super nice and kept my cup full.

We stopped by after hiking in Prime Hook. This place reminded us of the old time seafood places we grew up with. The portions were very generous. I ordered the fried shrimp and added a broiled crab cake. The shrimp were plump with very light breading. The crab cake was full of lump crabmeat and very little filler. Cocktail sauce was nice and spicy! Hubby ordered the fish & chips and was presented with a platter full of fish and fries. Three nice pieces of cod. He said it tasted very close to what he had in the UK. He was a happy guy. We took home slices of carrot cake and Smith Island cake for later. Our server was friendly and efficient

Passed by this place on the highway and I was very reluctant to come in, but I'm very glad I did. This place has been here for a while and I see why because the food was delicious and I would definitely return

The food was good. We enjoyed the crab cake dinner and soft shell crab. I had the side salad, nothing special and the hush puppies, honestly my favorite thing. He had Brussels sprouts and fries. They were good. I hade the Meding Breeze, yummy. He had the dogfish beer. Loved the cherry Cobbler. Our server was great and the ambiance was quaint and cute.

I kept my request incredibly simple: boiled or baked potatoes and steamed vegetables. Shockingly, they told me they had NO vegetables available. The server was kind enough to ask the chef if anything could be prepared for me, but after checking, she returned and said, "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do for you." So while the rest of my party of nine ate food that was oily and overcooked, I sat there with nothing but a glass of water & a wine. The only vegetable they had was green beans, and they refused to even steam those without oil. In today's world, accommodating a basic dietary restriction with something as simple as potatoes and vegetables should not be impossible. Extremely disappointing experience, and unfortunately not a place I'd choose to return to.

We…read moreboth thought it was a little pricey for the portion and decided it would be a 'one and done' situation where we've basically: been there-done that. Service was excellent in the bar. Last week, I noticed a Facebook post offering a new $10 Happy Hour menu with a food variety so we decided to go give it another try. Once again, nice and clean inside, excellent service in the bar. Brooke was awesome! Our drinks were full, she was very attentive, excellent service. The food however was beyond disappointing. My other half ordered a smash burger, I'd say it had 1/2"-3/4" open space all around the burger where it was significantly smaller than the roll the cheese slice makes the burger look larger than it was. A smaller bun, may not have noticed but this was quite hysterical actually. I had the chicken quesadillas and we joked with a friend that was with us that it appeared to get run over by a steam roller as there were only small nibbles of chicken and cheese in the very bottom of the tortillas, top half was completely empty. Unfortunately I did not think to take pics before my plate of extra tortillas was cleaned off the bar. Not me after our friend ordered the surf and turf sliders. When that came out, the sliced pickles on the sandwich were larger than the burger, and there was one shrimp on the slider roll, which also had pickles and lettuce on it. (The toppings of pickles and lettuce were supposed to just be on the burger). Nevertheless shrimp, still had, half the shell on it and didn't cover the bun and once the pickles were removed from the burger, the burger ended up being maybe the size of the Sacajawea dollar coin, maybe an old fifty-cent piece. So, overall: nice inside, clean, excellent bar service but the food portions for $10 are laughable and we surely won't be back after this.

I asked for a fresh cup of coffee and even joked that I'd leave a bigger tip if it was fresh, but the coffee I received was still terrible. We also had to get our own silverware after asking for it twice. To top it all off, when the bill arrived, there was a 3% service charge added without anyone mentioning it beforehand. Unexpected fees should be disclosed upfront, not discovered when it's time to pay. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we won't be returning.

Let's start with decor - I don't think I've ever been in a restaurant this clean in a long long time. The decor is charming, olde world, and lush. Large booths envelope you while you dine with a view of the open kitchen. The "fire element" is warming and romantic and would be great in the cold weather. The service was impeccable. Our server Forrest knows her menu well and made wonderful recommendations. I was looking for a creamy espresso martini and she offered up a cappuccino martini not on the menu but having featured before - they were happy to make it for me. They have great bartenders and mixologist. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had chicken Parmesan, a portion large enough for two. My sister had the below picture Wedge Salad - that looked stunning. She had an absolutely delicious summer risotto - creamy and fresh with summer corn and peas. Risotto is great done right - horrible done wrong - and this one was WAY right. We didn't have room for dessert but I plan on many visits to this restaurant in the future. I had a wonderful conversation with the very hands on owners Pancho and Lisa who have a warm and welcoming style. Such an enjoyable evening. Thank you.

She was very plesant the whole time I was here, just the right amout of attentive too, absolutely flawless service. Ambiance, man does this place shine. Its quiet, which is very plesant whether in a party or alone. The only native sound in the restaurant is the HVAC blowing, otherwise its conversation making this place feel natural, not forced, and very lively. The physical appearance is laid back, theres wood everywhere, the stone bar, and cutting boards on the wall just bring a perfect little pop to the restaurant. If you look up near the entrance you're greeted by a full green wall, they may or may not be real, I'm not sure but it was a welcome sight nonetheless. Let's move in to food while I'm rambling on. The cheese fondue was a delight, and the dinner fondue was as well. A scrumptious blend of indulgent cheese and hearty broth made for a great dinner. Plus, of course the proteins, vegetables and fruits that come as dippers (cant forget the dippers!) Really its a great experience. All in all, I cannot recommend it enough you'll be very happy with your decision! Oh and of course I have to talk price, its important aye? So I'll admit its on the more expensive side for one, however when you count in that each dish is meant to serve two its a no brainer. The prices are super reasonable for dished meant for two people, honestly great spot for a date its intimate enough that you'll be able to have a conversation but not so quiet that you can hear a pin drop.
