Big Oyster served up a nice dinner in a well-decorated space. Jimmy gave us great service. The wedge salad was bright and fresh. The ahi tuna towers was tasty. It had very little avocado and a bit too much pickled onion. The wontons were a great crunchy accompaniment. My Whale Song sour on tap was okay. There was a strange aftertaste to it. The patio offered live music out back.

Highschool cafeteria type burger patties in that restaurant? Then add great tasting crab on that dried out hockey puck is criminal!

Nice restaurant like that serving school cafeteria burgers! Then to put great crab on that hockey puck is just criminal. FYI... this is the milford restaurant

BOBM is a casual brewpub with a good selection of beer and good food, mostly seafood. We started with vodka oyster shots; I also had a Midnight Kraken Stout, crafted with their blend of brandy wine, coffee, and roasted beans. It was very dark and rich, smooth, and with a touch of sweetness at the end. The appetizers come in big portions, so we decided to order a few and share. We started with their creamy and delicious lobster bisque, and then proceeded to order a few appetizers. I recommend their crab dip; it is homemade and comes with baked cheese on top and toasted bread on the side, which is amazing. We also had their East Coast calamari, and it came with Thai chili sauce; it had the perfect balance of spicy and sweetness. Lastly, we had loaded fries with cheese and bacon; French fries are always a win-win. Our server was very attentive and provided us with good and fast service despite the hectic atmosphere - it was crowded, but the service was good.

Love this place! Great menu options! Especially love the outdoor area when the weather is nice! The Blue Steel Vodka is affordable and delicious! We like to couple that with the chicken, bacon and queso flatbread! Fast service!

I stopped by the brewery for a quick meal and a few drinks on my way out of town. The food was delicious. I got a cream of crab soup and a Caesar salad. The salad was well dressed and very good, the soup didn't have as much crab as I would've liked, but tasted delicious. The bar was quiet at that time so I had a great atmosphere for lunch that day. They had a wide selection of beer to choose from. I really liked their flagship and their sour, although I didn't care for the stout.

This is a very nice place right next to a golf course. There is a ton of seating here. The host sat us right away and the waitress checked on us not too much but plenty. I ordered the veggie burger and Tator tots. The Tator tots were delicious. Perfectly crispy. The burger was good. I haven't had many black bean burgers to compare but it was good. My husband got we I'm the wings. They were cooked great! The salad was good until we got near the bottom. There was too much dressing at the bottom to finish the salad. Our DIL got the oyster sliders and she liked them. The beer selection was just ok.

Big Oyster Brewery is much better at the Lewes Locaton. Food is hit or miss in Milford. Last year I went a couple times a month for their $20 prime rib special. Always ask for med rare if you want medium. It wasn't to bad a deal for the price. I knew it would be on the smaller size and only came with 2 sides, baked potato is not an option. This year I only went for the special 1 time. Price this year is $24 and I guess maybe it was prime rib. Not like one I ever saw. Smaller than last year and not noticeable under all the sliced partically cooked onions. Not the little cute ones like last year with the great flavor, As I tried to cut my meat, some onions went flying as it was hard to cut. Had some calimari even though they don't serve with the tenticles. They have gotten better at cooking those. No more prime rib there. I will drive a little farther and pay a little bit more at The Palace. Their prime rib special you can eat on for 2 days!

I really enjoyed my visit to Big Oyster Brewery. I went with my mother and we ate on the back patio. The weather was beautiful as was the scenery of the golf course and trees. I had the fish and chips. They were beer battered and delicious. I asked for malt vinegar and tartar sauce. I did think the tarter was a little weird.. and I can't put my finger on why. My mother had the shrimp and grits. Although she liked them.... I would not recommend them. The grits were dry and the sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce. All in all, not what I consider good shrimp and grits. I suggest the chef take a trip to New Orleans and learn how to make proper shrimp and grits. I would definitely go back and try the Philly cheesesteak as post of the food pics where of this dish.

We enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere so much that we made it a point to come back the following year. That second visit was just okay. The food and service weren't quite as good, but we chalked it up to an off day and decided to give it another chance this year. Unfortunately, the third visit was the worst of the three. We were initially seated near the stage where the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. To their credit, the host was accommodating and moved us to another table when we asked. However, our server's response was disappointing. She made a passive-aggressive comment along the lines of, "That's fine if you move, I just won't make as much money." Not exactly something guests expect to hear when simply asking for a quieter table. The food was bland and arrived at different times. Some dishes were cold by the time they reached the table. Several drinks were forgotten, and we had to remind our server multiple times before receiving them. We also spoke with management about our experience, but they seemed largely uninterested and didn't appear concerned about addressing the issues. The one bright spot is the outdoor area. It's a great space with lawn games, a playground, and plenty of room to relax. If you're looking for a place to have a drink outside and let the kids play, it serves that purpose well. For us, though, the combination of poor service, inconsistent food quality, and lack of concern from management means we won't be returning.

On a Thursday mid-afternoon we were on our way back to the house from the Indian River Inlet and were in the mood to relax with a beer. Luckily, Bethany Bay Brewing was right on our way home so we took a little detour. The parking lot was pretty empty but to our surprise it was rather crowded. The beertender, Mack, was right there to greet us. She was very nice and helpful, did a great job explaining their tap list, and even gave us recommendations for other local establishments to try out. She also gave us an opportunity to taste any beer before we ordered a pint which is much appreciated! My dad got an IPA while my mom and I got flights (5 pours for $15). I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, especially the Blueberry Blonde and Blood Orange IPA. I would have been happy ordering a full pour of any of the beers I had in my flight (I also had Riptide Double IPA, Dark Seas Chocolate Stout, and Birds Nest Lager). They also provide complementary popcorn to their guests which is a thoughtful gesture. They have seltzers, wines, and ciders available for any non-beer drinkers out there, and I did see a sign signifying discounts for veterans and cyclists! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular here. Next June I will definitely make it a point to stop in and have another flight of 5 beers I didn't try during this visit. We were very pleased with our short visit and were very happy we made the decision to stop in on our way home.

( Did not know it was the State bird) lol Wife had a much harder choice. We didn't realize it was both a brewery AND a distillery...such a hardship.. Well the Wife made her choice to stay with the draft beer and chose a pumpkin flavored ale! We were both pleased with our final selections and decided we needed to eat! The selections are pretty good too. I ended up choosing a personal meat pizza, and she chose the Tacos...both were delicious. You need to go back outside to order from a walk up window and they'll give you a beeper for when your food is ready. Found this odd but no big deal! The tour was above and beyond what we expected! Our tour guide, Susie, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything and anything about the history of the brewery and the science behind it all. She was so enthusiastic and a genuine joy to spend the hour with! Our tour got to go up in the treehouse and that was very neat! After the tour (and a little bit during) we tasted many beers that are not available to the general public. It's pretty obvious why this brewery is so popular - all of their beers, even the ones you may not gravitate towards (for us, dark beers) are smooth and well balanced. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and some snacky food options. They have corn hole set up as well. We also think we may have spotted Mr. Sam himself while we were there, which was an added bonus! We ended the day in the gift shop where you can buy beer, canned cocktails, spirits and lots of cool merch!
