Hands down my favorite restaurant from my trip to Italy. I believe this is a family run restaurant and the owners did not speak much English, which was the first good sign of this place. We made a reservation for 7pm (when they open) which I'm glad we did because it's a small restaurant so by 7:30 the tables were full of both out-of-towners and locals. They brought us their lovely handwritten English menu and we ordered the house wine, the lampredotto meatballs to try the typical Florentine meat, the potato dumplings/gnocchi with tomato & courgette, penne with tomato and lard of colonnata, and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The little jar of fresh Parmesan was a nice and yummy touch! Something about the homeyness of the place and the buzz of the surrounding dinner conversations had us staying for 2 hours enjoying our wine. Would love to come back sometime in the future. read more
