Only because we got there right at opening, the line started to form almost 35 minutes from opening. The plaza is super cute and street food is available there. Anastsassia was such a great server! She took extra care for our table and made our experience above and beyond. She was very sweet and awesome. Like cmon the best in Florence hands down. All of the food that we ate tonight tasted bannnnnnnngin! Like straight Italiano from my great Italian grandmothers kitchen. All the pasta had enough flavor and was very creamy. Had dinner here given they were always busy when we walked by so decided to give them a try. Got the last open table around 8 on a Wednesday. We started with an Aperol Spritz and Dolomiti draft. Beer was light and refreshing and The Spritz hit the spot. For appetizer it was Crostini Nero Fiorentini (Pate di Fegato.) Pate was bland and was missing some flavors-this was a miss unfortunately and wouldn't order again. On the other hand, our Mixed Salad which we shared was excellent! For main, the Truffle Ravioli was tasty and filling although it was a 3 Ravioli Portion. Spaghetti Carbonara was enjoyed also with just the right amount of sauce and not heavy. Service was attentive and engaged. We saw another table that ordered the Steak Florentine and it looked delicious. Reasonable prices and located in Centro Storico. Our starter, described as fried bread balls with prosciutto and cheese, was delicious. A fantastic appetizer. The prosciutto was not too salty and the best we've had in Florence. The cheese was also great, and went perfectly with the bread and meat. I had a fusilli in a tomato sauce and my wife had another pasta dish with beef. My tomato sauce was excellent. Lots of flavor and some spicy heat. Unfortunately the pasta was a little undercooked. My wife's pasta was very good though, no complaints. House wine good value. Service was fine, no complaints. Terribly inattentive service. The staff never came by to check on anything. They didn't bring one of the side dishes we ordered. Couldn't get anyone's attention for 30 minutes to get our bill. It seemed the "locals" at tables near us got friendly and attentive service. Maybe they just don't want to serve tourists. Our local tour guide recommended this spot for us and booked it a month ago as a local place near our hotel. The food was fine. Nothing special. The carbonara was the worst we had in a week between Rome and Florence and tasted nearly entirely of salt. The gnocchi and steak were fine. The outdoor seating was lovely. Wish they had an acceptable level of service to go with it. Never ordered dessert because no one came to check in with us a single time after the food was delivered. There comes a point in one's life when pasta becomes somewhat of a boring menu choice. When living in Italy, this point morphs into an all-consuming anger towards noodle dishes - it's irrational and frankly a rite of passage. My roommate, Tiffany, and I stumbled across this restaurant (aka Maps'ed our way over and got lost three to four times) in fear of the typical siesta hours. The outdoor seating area was jam-packed with couples, families, and friends - all laughing over a shared appetizer of bruschetta or a light salad. I watched admittedly amused as a group of middle aged women giggled over afternoon drinks whilst celebrating someone's birthday (there were many '50' balloons). After being seated, we ordered bruschetta, carbonara, and tagliatelle. The food was really good (like would-go-back-again-the-day-after good). The plates were aesthetically pleasing and the food was fresh and hot. We grinned stupidly at one another afterwards - we had found a panacea for our ever-growing anger towards pasta - good pasta. We have eaten here three consecutive years, based on a recommendation of a local we met at a bar (convivial recommendations seem to work best for me.) It has been outstanding each year. The last two years I got the steak Florentine. It's a two person meal, 44 euros for 1 kg of wonderful meat (so 22 euros per person.) The best steak I ever had, with the second best being last years version. It is cooked perfectly, with an outstanding crust of salt, pepper, rosemary, and other spices. The rest of the meal was delicious as well. We got pasta with truffles (the cheaper version), risotto with artichokes, and gnocchi with pomodoro. All of them were outstanding. The roasted veggies were ok, so the low point, if you can call it that. It's a small tightly packed restaurant that is very busy. The service is friendly and helpful though not as attentive as an expensive restaurant. The price is outstanding. 175 euros for four people including two bottles of good wine. A couple tips - You can order the steak by the kg. We got the regular 1 kg version, but I think you can go up in weight. - We have been here in January, and they have a front patio that can be a bit chilly. Indoors is much better. - They have a small back room seating 3-5. If you are ok with being tight it's great. - We shared dishes which worked really well and can stretch the steak without the need for apps. read more

We ate here on our first night in Florence! It was definitely SUPER tasty but also wasn't TO DID FOR! I got the pesto gnocchi which happened to have lavender in it which was weird but still good. My friend got truffle pasta and LOVED it! The service was slow but I think that's kinda how it is in Europe! People take their time eating unlike us psycho Americans hahah. Wow one of my favorite casual meals so far in Firenze. Service: 10/10- we came at about 9 pm on a Thursday without a reservation, and we were immediately seated outside without a problem! The waiters and waitresses were all very friendly, attentive welcoming and kind which is not always the case in Florence. Location: 9/10 this place is in the center of town and has a very homey feel inside. Nice outdoor seating as well. Mainly Italians inside with few tourists. Food: 10/10 delicious pasta and wine. We had the spaghetti carbonara and the truffle ravioli which were both amazing home cooked pasta dishes. Tiramisu was very fresh and creamy. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a place with nice food. My friends and I had lunch at this place. We had high expectations since the restaurant had high ratings of local people. We ordered the Burrata tiepida su letto di spinaci croccanti (Warm Burrata cheese with crispy spinach). We were curious about the warm burrata because we never had warm burrata. We were very disappointed. The only thing that was nice about this dish was the crispy spinach. The burrata wasn't warm. The creamy flavour that a burrata should have, was nowhere to be found! The burrata at my favourite Italian restaurant in my home country, The Netherlands, is so much better (fyi: Bella Storia in Amsterdam and they ship the burrata from Italy :) ). Two of my friends had the Tagliolini al tartufo and it didn't taste great and my friends also didn't feel good later that day... I had the Spaghetti alla carrettiera (Spaghetti with spicy tomato sauce) and it was too spicy. Don't get me wrong I can handle spicy food but this was just too much! My mouth was burning woohoo! I don't think the dish is supposed to be spicy like this. All pasta dishes were also a little overcooked. I'm definitely not coming back to this place. read more

Our orders came out, for six. The last order wasn't served for another 15 minutes... The food was just average, below the standard of food in Firenze although it could have been a lot worse. So I have been in Florence for 2 days and this place is the best by far. We ran into it by accident and didn't follow any yelp/trip advisor reviews. The food was delicious, I ordered the veal and it was the best I have ever eaten along with a few other dishes ordered. The service is not the best if your not Italian but I understand, locals is what keeps a restaurant open and they are very attentive to locals so don't take it personal if your a tourist. They helped us decide what to order because I was trying something new for the first time. I ordered the homemade pasta with truffle sauce and it was great. My sister ordered the pesto gnocchi and I tasted it...by far the best pesto gnocchi I have ever had! Highly recommend if you like this dish. We also shared a homemade pasta with pecorino cheese and pepper, which was additionally delicious. Lastly I ordered a glass of wine which was good but not my favorite. After requesting the plates, we received one. Then we asked for another meal, as the first one was not what was expected. We were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for it. We decided not to order and then asked for the check. Then waited 15 minutes for a check while others were served their meals. We asked again and this time the response to us was in Italian (other times were English) so we has to get up and pay ourselves at the cashier.
