Even though we e love fishing and have always done so, we learned so much, improved our techniques, and truly enjoyed ourselves. Captain Caleb Blackburn not only has a passion for what he does, but has so much experience and has even rightfully won many competitions in many variations of fishing. Captain Caleb Blackburn is extremely well versed in what he does in every aspect. He will teach you how to cast correctly to catch what you'd like to fish for, advise you on how and where to find what you are looking for, and even inform you all about what environmental aspects affect your fishing success in each season that you are in. Captain Caleb Blackburn has an extensive wealth of knowledge pertaining to what he does, is funny, has many stories with pictures and videos to back it all up, and will make your experience be the best that you've ever had. He is also super attentive to what you need and will constantly be readjusting different strategies to accommodate each situation. He uses healthy live bait, brings everything you need including drinks, fully functioning and well taken care of great quality poles, and anything else you may need for a successful fishing experience. Very beautiful park! We saw two groups of 3 deer ( possibly the same ones?) while driving on the…read moreloop. I was traveling with someone with a walker and my husband who has limited walking abilities so the long driving loop was great for them and their limitations. However - we had brought a picnic lunch but there were NO picnic tables accessible out of the sun with parking nearby. We did see some tables with lovely shade but there was NO parking at all unless you parked on the grass which was forbidden. I don't know how they expected anyone to get to them unless they were out for a long walk! We finally had to eat lunch sitting in the car and that was sad considering the beautiful surrounding. But aside from the handicap inaccessibilities, we did enjoy the park very much.

Artists were painting and creating their masterpieces as well. Azaleas are in bloom and the roses will be very soon. Love this spot for a photo shoot or they also do weddings here as well. The main garden area is well manicured. Bikes and pets are not allowed. There is a spot on the water where dolphins have been spotted. There is a great little picnic area and park. He found out my interests and then put a pin location on my phone to a somewhat hidden creek off the river that was the best! It was a calm, relaxing, nature filled experience. There's a playground on the other side and it is fenced in! There are tennis courts and on some mornings you can see pickle ballers taking over the courts! This park is wheelchair accessible, I believe there are two paved handicap parking spots! There's a covered pavilion, bathrooms, and no stairs! Popular fishing spot, great sunset spot, great place to see the stars! You can ride bikes here! Closes at 11 pm!

While coming back from MTB riding the Mala Compra Trails, my buddies and stumbled into a big group…read moreof people coming off a pontoon boat by the boat ramp, which is just yards away, across the street from Mala Compra. The group had nothing but big smiles on their faces. My buddies and I looked at each other and said "that could be us minus the mountain bikes but with fishing poles". And that is when the idea was born. Fast forward months later to August 27th, the plan was set in place, it's go time. My buddy rented the pontoon boat big enough for 8+ people. And judging by his experience and our experience dealing with the staff, etc...it was seemless. Everything was laid out and easy to understand. The staff was thorough with explaining the Do's and Dont's as well as where everything is to access on the boat. The boat was ready upon our arrival. It was clean and ran great. All in all, we all have a grand time. We also had big smiles on our faces coming off the boat when it was all said and done. And hey, we even received a complimentary group picture which made the trip even more memorable.

Had a great first experience with this company. Decided to rent a boat since my family is new to…read morethe area to check out the intercostal waterway. They were very helpful from calling in and getting info on the pricing to the process of renting. We arrived at the bait shop to fill out the rental agreement and then headed across the street at bings landing to get on the boat. They were wiping down the boat when we arrived and went over everything prior to take off. We had a great time cruising through the local area. It's beautiful to see so much natural beauty with swimming dolphins and not so busy waterways. We headed to the Matanzas inlet to anchor and hang next to the sand bar for some time. It's a cool spot where we watched a group of paddle boarders and a group of kids learning how to use a net with their teacher. The matanzas fort is there too which is an awesome background. Where else can you hang for the day next to an old Spanish fort? Overall great experience and we plan on doing it monthly or at least every time I come up to visit.
