Great new restaurant and while there's lots of Italian restaurants in Denver, it seems unqiue in its classification as a "trattoria" offering quality dishes. They have a covered outdoor seating area and fairly spacious indoor seating as well. Their prices are very fair compared to other places in Denver. There's not too many spots where you can get a $3 bread basket (although it's very standard bread). The lasagna is easily one of the best I've had. Their mahi mani was slightly overcooked but had the perfect lemon zest and artichoke spread and I loved the onions. It also came with pearls which I would have preferred if they were crispy. For dessert we had their unique take on a panna cotta which came in a bar shape with a chocolate and pistachio layer. I'm normally not a panna cotta fan but loved this dish. Our server was friendly and informative but didn't refill our water as much as we would have hoped. Bonus: they validate parking at the 1720 Platte St lot. You don't pay at the lot but instead scan the QR code at the front of the restaurant and register your license plate using their code that voids the cost.

Gosh, where to begin? We received wonderful service from Rudolph, he really took cared of us. The antipasti came out at a decent time but the pasta took awhile to get prepared. The restaurant was busy on a Thursday evening, most of the table were full. The portion sizes are good, not quite American size but definitely bigger than Italian size to me. We ordered the artichoke, arugula salad, grilled romaine lettuce, lasagna, linguine alla vongole, lobster ravioli and risotto al frutti de mare.... A basket of grilled ciabatta. All in all I really enjoyed my lasagna, the pasta sheets were thin but with a good chew, the bechamel so creamy, the bolognese was meaty and flavorful. The manager came and checked on us, just overall amazing vibe and such a cute spot to have such a great dining experience - really took me back to Italy with all the yummy food. Rudolph even helped de-shell the clams and mussels in our seafood dishes, I don't think I've had that experience ever and I've had vongole in Florence just a couple of years ago. Definitely planning to come back w the family and know they have validated parking, not the parking garage but the open parking a little further down. It was a nice walk to the restaurant and I want to come back and try their secondi next time. I feel their pricing is very reasonable - and the tiramisu was so delicious! Thanks for taking care of us Rudolph! We really appreciate you!

We were so excited to see this place open up on Platte Street. On the positive side the hospitality is wonderful. Welcoming and helpful. We tried a cross section of items on the menu. Appetizers: Mussels. Sadly this was our least favorite. Mussels are small and sauce overpowers the mussels. The steak we ordered for 2-3 people was sizable and well done. Zucchini and Carrots were nicely done. We wanted to taste some pasta and they ordered a kids portion for us to try. It was gluten free with a pomodoro sauce. This was actually very good. We also ordered a salad which was just ok. Dessert was fabulous, a pistachio with some chocolate mousse. All things considered, they are working hard to give a great experience to the diners. The food needs a some tweaking. We will come back and try them again at lunchtime.

I have been hearing about this place through several viral videos and was excited to bring my mom here. It isn't too crazy yet and we were able to get a table on a Saturday night for two people at around 8:30. Things were going very well, our server I believe his name was Mateo was very knowledgeable about all of the items and ingredients and preparations. He made good recommendations, we started with the little gem appetizer and the bread and burrata. We then put in our food order as the salad came out. The bread and the salad arrived, but the burrata never came and neither was our food. After so much time had gone by we asked about it, and they mentioned their Wi-Fi and their entire system shut down but that they have just put in my order by hand. At this point it had already been 45 minutes since we ordered, but we waited. 10 minutes later, our actual server came over and said that he just put in our food... anyways it really didn't come out more than an hour later, i had just called someone over and asked them just to cancel it-- then they walked out with the plates. The food was still really good and even though a delay like that could be avoided by using pen and paper the old-school way in that situation, they were really nice about it, at the end, one of the owners even offered to comp some of our check. I'll be giving it another shot, especially since there were multiple dishes on the menu I wanted to try

When I learned that the owner of one of my favorite former Italian restaurants in Denver had opened a new spot in Commons Park I sprinted to get a reservation! Didn't have time for dinner this visit so we decided to do their aperitivo hour! It was fabulous! It was so exciting to see the place, packed and buzzing. Even the patio was busy filled with clinking glasses and people laughing! We sat at the bar with one of my favorite bartenders in Denver, Kenny, who makes arguably the best espresso martini in town and a mean dirty martini! We ordered almost everything on the food menu and it was lovely! I cannot wait to go back for dinner!

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to Sardinia on a warm summer evening. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and effortlessly authentic. Do yourself a favor and order the vongole, the little clams are incredibly fresh, and the white wine sauce is absolutely delicious. I paired it with a glass of Soave, "The Corona of Verona," and it was the perfect match. Make sure you have some bread to soak up every last bite! This is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot you'll find yourself coming back to again and again.

I absolutely loved the food and atmosphere, so will definitely be back. Best Italian food I've had in Denver so far and the service was amazing. We ordered the pesto gnocchi and the lobster ravioli to share and loved both. The gnocchi were hot and had a perfect texture. The pesto and red sauce on both dishes were so original and flavorful. They brought out some complementary breadsticks as soon as we sat down. We also had the aperol and grapefruit spritz and both were perfect. We don't usually get a dessert, but I just knew the tiramisu would be good, so we went for it and it so glad we did. It was a 10/10. The owner was so sweet and stopped by our table to check on us during the meal. I came to eat here with my sister before a concert and it's located in a cute area right along the river. We had a great time and it was nice to walk from there to ball arena for the concert after dinner.

The service was outstanding, the food was perfection, it was the perfect way to be welcomed to Denver on our very first night. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us and it was very much appreciated. One of our best dining experiences ever.

Thoughts from my first time at La Vietta: delicious, authentic food, genuine Italian trattoria ambiance, caring service, lively the music, and THAT bar! This is Denver's newest gem, and I can't wait to go back. To Marco and the team: Saluti e ben fatto!

Shout to the team for having our table ready when we got there even though it was very busy that day. We started off with the Fall Salad and I think it was one of my favorite things we ordered. I had no idea beets can be that delicious! After that, everything else came out: roasted carrots, barramundi, and wagyu flank steak. They also put in an order or pommes frites (French fries) on accident and decided to give it to us on the house. Thanks! The roasted carrots were really good and sweet. You could tell they were quality carrots. The barramundi was another one of my favorites. I'm a fan of fish and they did an excellent job of cooking the barramundi with a great sauce(?) that tasted great with it. I found the wagyu steak flank overcooked and really salty which was disappointing given the price. The pommes frites were cooked well but also extremely salty. Overall, I would recommend Sunday Vinyl if you are trying to take someone to a place that is unique and don't mind paying a bit extra. It is a bit loud in there (we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation) but it is also a vinyl place so you would expect them to show off their music.

The smoked burrata was delicious, especially with all the toppings it came with. The sea bass completely surprised me, in the best way. Sweet, spicy, savory, crunchy, with so many different textures and flavors happening at once. The lamb skewers were another favorite. The meat was thinly sliced and secured on the skewer, which made every bite incredibly tender. They were just bomb overall! The drinks were also very well put together and complemented the food perfectly. The server was outstanding. Definitely a place I'm eager to come back to and try more dishes from the menu!

And from that point on, from first taste, I knew my experience would be exceptional. The service was attentive without being overly attentive, and the chef's were so kind, answering every one of my weird questions about what they were preparing or ingredients that I noticed. I ordered the smoked burrata to start. The balance between the candied pistachio, artichoke pesto, and wagyu cecina really created a well balanced and unexpected dish. The burrata was creamy and the salty and sweet components balanced the aged sherry gastrique and made for an incredible intro to a beautiful performance by the chefs. Next was another small dish, which I wish I remembered the description for (I need to bring a little notebook with me), but it was a perfect segue into the next course, the ibérico presa. Wow. Just wow. White asparagus has got to be one of my favorite vegetables next to artichokes, when done exceptionally well, as they most definitely were. The piquillo peppers and pickled shallots complemented the pork, which was so soft, perfectly. I definitely died and went to heaven at this point in the meal. This is probably when I should've stopped eating because after this point, still pure delight, but my poor stomach was soooooo full. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. The honeycomb on top, the cherries, all leading to a perfect finish. A time was had. Thanks El Five

Loved the perfectly chewy ropes of bucatini tangled with crumbled blue cheese, Castelvetrano olives -- and vodka sauce? This should've been a weird disaster, but wound up being our table's favorite dish. Every dish is a commitment to the genuinely unexpected. There was something delightfully more than just salt, pepper and fry behind the eggroll-sized mozarella sticks. Then there was the fig gelato, flanked by warm pear -- and oh my gosh, the apple tart! We had to go back and reread the menu to realize that the caramel really was spicy! This kitchen really finds the funky note in a dish and leans into it. Come ready to share. Every item comes in a "single" and a "mingle" size, which was great for our table of four. We would order 1-2 mingle-sized items, pass them around, and argue about who gets the last forkful. The rough edge is perhaps the service, but this spot is new and finding its rhythm. We found the handoff between counter and floor to be clunky, since it felt like pressure to order in order to be seated, not to order drinks and wait for a table. Maybe this works in a larger space. Maybe they just need to smooth out the flow. Either way, the people are sweet, and the food delicious.

Coming into it, I know Boombots has an eclectic restaurant with a fusion pasta menu, and I was fully on board with trying some weird, funky pasta. The restaurant was nicely laid out and decorated, and the vibes are great. The drinks are delicious and they have one of my favorite non-alcoholic cocktails (What the Hellyante). However, the mains come and the wheels fell apart. We got the congee risotto, the bucatini primavera, and the gyros cavatelli. Let's start with the positive. The bucatini primavera was tasty. The pasta was well cooked and everything ate very well together, albeit a little dry. Overall, a good dish. The congee risotto was also not bad. It was definitely one of the dish I was looking forward as someone who followed their Instagram, but the execution was off. The rice was well cooked but it ate just a tad bland. The 63 degree egg was just a tad over and unfortunately, the told was on the cold side. That said, it was tasty nonetheless. My least favorite part was the amount of toasted seeds on top. There was simply too much and it knocked the balance of the dish towards overly crunchy, which is not necessarily what you expect in a risotto or a congee dish. Finally, the gyros cavatelli was just not it. In my opinion, the dish just didn't work for me. It's a dish with za'atar pasta, gyros, cherry tomatoes, pickled red onions, crispy chickpeas, dill, nad tzakiki. The warm tzakiki sauce along with the picked red onions and cherry tomatoes ensure the dish eats on the sour side. For me as well, the warm tzakiki was off putting in smell and taste. The pasta was also undercooked and grainy. It wasn't al dente, just undercooked. And with everything, the gyros is kind of lost. Overall, just a really odd dish in terms of conception and execution, and one that I didn't enjoy. Overall, I will be generous and give 3/5. I think service was pretty good, the drinks were delicious, and the price was acceptable. Other dishes, such as the lumache and the salads, looks pretty good as well. But based on what I got today, I cannot recommend the dishes we got at Boombots.

The sauce had ants in it though which kind of freaked me out, but it did taste good. Although I knew this was a tuna dish, I didn't know what to expect. Kind of wish the tuna was maybe seared or was something different, but I did like the dish. The short ribs were so tender and delicious. The tortillas were fresh and wonderful as well. The tres leches dessert was also really tasty and had the perfect ratio of cake to milk without it all falling apart from being too wet. In terms of drinks, the corn sour and beet spritz were absolutely amazing. The Negroni was good as well but I think I prefer a classic Italian one. Service was good although sometimes I felt like our server was watching us too closely and I felt weird. In addition on two separate occasions, the cooks that brought the food out touched the food on our plates to make it look nicer. I want to trust that they are clean, but in this day and age of new food poisonings happening all the time, and the fact that they had to open the door since we were outside, I just felt kind of gross about it. Nevertheless the food was absolutely delicious and honestly was worth the price for sure. The food here was much better than some top restaurants in nyc for a fraction of the price. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you.
