Ordered Windows, no install. Will not be a returning customer! First interaction: Customer Service for me has been above and beyond. Owner Luis has been in the business for many years as I found out while he was explain the pros and cons of the different types of windows. Willing to answer any questions and help with any issues that you may forsee with your project. Pricing was midrange compared too a few other estimates I received. Due to COVID, window arrival is expected to be delayed a bit so make sure you order accordingly. Once I receive my windows I will add to my review on how that portion of my experience was. After ordering experience: Customer Service: 1 of 5 Poor Communication So it was a mission getting my windows. They esitimated 2 weeks which turned into 3 weeks. Which I figured there may be delays due Covid. What I did not like was that they could not give me a straightforward answer on when the windows would be available for pickup and he will contact the manufacturer and than give me a call back. I got no callback. This caused issues with scheduling other jobs being on my house. Finally, I received a call telling me that my windows were in but that there's an issue. One of the 10 windows I ordered was too large to make and it didn't not arrive. Which of course pissed me off. I was really confused that we are barely figuring this out three weeks after I placed my order. I thought with the owners 35 years of experience he would of told me it was not possible or the manufacturer would of informed him from the beginning. The owners simple solution was to give me my money back...which you would think is great. I didnt feel that was an option for me since I just received 9 windows and would hate to have one window that may come out looking different than the rest. So I told him that would not be an option. I need to get the other window from the same manufacturer. He said that the only other option is we make the window smaller. I was upset because there will be additional costs for me o have the window opening resized. But frustrated so I went ahead with that option to move along with getting my window. Ask him how could we get the window expedite the window. He told me that he would call me later to inform me of the new delivery date. No call that day, I had to call him the next day to find out what was the status. He told me one week. I was fine with that since it had took 3 weeks for the other window's to come in. This was a lie. It took two weeks to receive the final window. Window Quality: 4 of 5 I was satisfied with the windows I received. One of the latches seems to be getting loose after opening a few times. I had thought the windows were scratched but it was only glue. Let me preface this by saying that I never feel inclined to leave any reviews, whether good or bad. But because this experience was so stressful and ultimately ridiculous, I feel like I should warn potential customers of LA Vinyl Windows to STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT HAS A HARD DEADLINE. We went in to order a window from these guys. We we greeted by someone who we believe was the owner. He talked to one of his employees, Alfredo/Freddy to help us out. In reading other reviews, apparently Alfredo is the owner's son. This will come into play later. We talk to Alfredo, and we're telling him what we want (sizing, color, etc). He talks to you in such a condescending tone and basically acts like he is the Albert Einstein of ~windows~. I wouldn't have bought anything from him due to the absolute douche vibes he gave off, but I wasn't paying, so not my choice. He took down our order, we paid and left. He asked us who would be the installer. This was because apparently they also do installations (it seems to be a separate business run just by him). This is probably where they see the real money and where they try to get you to hire his company for installation because they don't profit much from window orders. I don't think they manufacture their windows in-house. He told us we would get our window in two to three weeks. Great, we thought. We received a call a week later from someone (I believe it was Luis), asking us for clarification on our order. Apparently Alfredo did not take down all of the information regarding our order and certain details that we made sure to specify when ordering were not included. I read another review on here, and apparently this guy (Alfredo) has done it in the past. If I'm working at my dad's business, I'd try to do a great job and try to do things correctly so we have more business and keep customers (ESPECIALLY if I'm probably going to inherit this business at one point, but I digress). At this point, it had already been a week, so we asked when we could expect the window to be done. We were told another 2-3 weeks. So this delays this project by another week. Annoying, but whatever. We called them back after 2 weeks. We were told that we would be called back with an update later that day. We never were. We called the next day, and they told us to call the following week. We did and they said ~maybe~ it will be done by that week and to call again later. FINALLY we called and were told we could pick up the window, 6 WEEKS AFTER ORDERING. We understand supply shortages, the lingering effects of the pandemic, and employee shortages are affecting us all. But the problem with this place is the lack of communication. If they would have initially disclosed that there might be a delay, then cool that's fine. It can be worked around or we choose another business to work with. There are options at that point. But you promised me something in 2-3 weeks, it gets delayed to 3-4 weeks because the owner's son screwed up taking the order, and there's no updates and communication throughout the process? So I now have a project delayed by 2-3 weeks? Ridiculous. ALSO, even if you wanted to cancel the order, by paying via credit card when you place your order, you agree to not cancel the order or stop the payment on the transaction. It is clearly stated on their invoice. I wonder how many times they screwed up so bad that someone canceled their order that they had to disclose this on their invoice. I would stay away from working with these guys. The owner seems like a nice guy but his own son is screwing him from making even more money by messing up orders and scaring customers away with his bad attitude. If he messed up taking down a simple order for ONE WINDOW, then just imagine how bad he'll screw up a bigger order with 5, 10, 30 windows (Not surprised but he has. Read other reviews posted). Severe project delays and losing a lot of money due to said delays are expected with these people. If working on a DIY home project it's even worse because you don't have tons of money that you can just blow because of some dude's screw up. Just avoid the headache and work with another business who might have people who know how to take down orders and properly communicate deadlines. TLDR: These guys have crappy attitudes, can't take down an order properly, and your project deadline will be held up by A SINGLE window and delayed by at least another 2-3 weeks. These people are not to be trusted! They do poor quality work. Their customer service is the worst that I have encountered, ever!! They rarely answer their phone and when they do, they cut you off, tell you to go somewhere else, wont let you talk, hang up on you. They are not nice people and I don't want anybody to have to deal with them if I can help it. I also would have rated them a ZERO if I could. They turned me down before I could fully ask a question. I needed a bedroom window replaced and this company is down the street, once i mentioned replacement, the guy stated, "well, i dont know if we can do it bc we are busy and we'll have to send someone out. Then he stated that it's only one window so i dont know if we'll come out for that so let me talk to my boss but he's with someone now.He says tehn, take a picture and bring it. I want to update. If you want to work with a team that is timely and has strong customer service consider another place. They lost the log in to scheduler the permit follow up that is required. It has been five months and all they can say is "don't worry " its been over a month since they have returned my text or calls. I understand there is a pandemic but they literally can't hit .."recover password". The city said they would not have to be present to prevent the spread of corona .. Literally all they have to do is from the safety of their home make the phone call and log onto a website. I shouldn't have paid them the final payment with out this . I trusted that they would keep their word and they didn't . I paid 200 dollar a for them to Handel interactions with the city .. got my windows about 3 years ago, windows are actually decent looking we got compliments on them...the problem is their costumer service. We had several problems with the windows such as vibration, one of the windows the grid inside fell off and another window glass crack. Every time we ask for service is like pulling teeth. They take for ever to return phone calls, and when they finally do they look for every excuse in the book to not deal with the problem. They asked for receipt after so many years of purchase, they had me call my credit card and request proof of purchase and after that they refuse to service window because I couldn't find proof that they install. Windows look good, but will not buy from them again. It is not worth the hassle. And I shouldn't be having that many problems with the windows after all they are only 3 years old read more

Firsts. I was referred to Luis Jr. and the crew of La Vinyl Windows by a long time customer of ours that has several rental properties and all of them have La Vinyl windows. My husband and I had gotten several quotes from various companies a little over a year ago. These were high quality to low. La Vinyl was right in between them as far as price and up there as far as quality. After seeing the product and the quote along with there lifetime garuntee we decided to go with a local company that came with a good referral. After putting down a deposit they made all the windows and gave us a call to schedule an istallation date. Only bummer they don't work weekends. Niether do I so I cant really blame them. It took two full days to do 14 windows (remove and install) including a slider and taking out a poorly installed garden window from the previous owners. They damages NOTHING. NO STUCCO BROKE!!!! Wow so clean so officent. I will be recommending them to anyone I know. I seriously have been standing at my windows opening and shutting them just cause I can. I am a General Contractor In the West Los Angeles area. A good family friend had her home broken into via a back window. The window was a dual pane vinyl window made by LA Vinyl windows. The installation of the windows was some 10 years ago. I called LA Vinyl Windows and spoke with Freddy to see if they could replace the glass and he said bring it down and we will take care of it for you. I went there today and in under an hour they replaced the dual pane with interior grid. I also had a french door lock that needed a new part and they gave it to me at no charge. I had about 5 different companies come to my house to provide information and general pricing. Luckily a friend mentioned LA Vinyl windows and I decided to get 1 more quote. Initially I stopped into their facility and spoke to Luis about options, features and general pricing. He explained the features and had samples of the product. It looked like the pricing was going to be competitive so I asked them to come by. Within a few days they came to my place and measured for the replacement windows and doors. I told them I was a real potential customer and they rewarded me with a nice quote. In August I had 2 large windows, 2 sliding doors, 2 custom triangular windows and 2 mirrored closet doors installed. Although 1 installation was difficult, the final product looks great, works great, and I'm very happy with the quality, performance and price. If I had to do it over, I would do the same thing again with the same company! read more

Horrible customer service. Sales representatives misled me multiple times regarding warranty. First I was told warranty was included, then I was told warranty wasn't included. This is the only business that I have ever encountered where they expect the customer to be responsible for a mistake made by an employee. Not only did they not acknowledged their mistake, but they also refused to look a the facts and written evidence. On Thursday, August 8th I called LA Vinyl Windows and spoke with Freddy. I told him that I had been expecting delivery of the windows on Wednesday per the 5 day delivery estimate he had given me. When the windows finally showed up on Friday, I realized immediately that there was a problem. I called Freddy and told him that the windows delivered were not according to the specs I had given to him on the day I ordered the windows. His delivery men and I realized that he had made a mistake when we compared his order form to my spreadsheet. I told him that the height and width of the windows on the order form filled out by him was reversed based on the information he entered. I told him I was refusing delivery on an order for 13 windows because upon inspection of the windows, I realized that the dimensions were wrong. All that he would say was "you signed the order". Since they do not provide us with an LA Vinyl Windows template, we generated our own spread-sheet. This spread-sheet was provided to Freddy and clearly indicated the number of windows, the height, width, grid pattern, glass selection and openings. Luis Sr. (owner) refused to admit that his son had made a mistake, and that I should come to his office because he was not going to discuss the matter over the phone. I told him that I saw no point in meeting with him since at no point did he admit any responsibility or offer a solution. I am disgusted with the manner in which they treat a customer and their disregard for business ethics, Freddy clearly made a mistake, and Luis is no better than him. September 2013 UPDATE Small Claims ruled in our favor and now they are appealing. So much for customer service Won the appeal and finally got my money back. read more
