Had a terrible experience at La Zebra dining here last week. I never write negative reviews, however I felt I should warn others that might consider eating here. I ordered the Chicken and Pink Mole and it was one of the worst meals I have ordered at a restaurant. The chicken was overcooked, rubbery, and the spices tasted artificial and overly salted. The rice was under cooked and chewy, with very little flavor. Halfway through the meal, my friend and I also began to feel sick. Our waiter, Manuel, was rude and provided terrible service. At the end of our meal, he refused to leave our table until we wrote our tips in and gave him our receipts, even though we repeatedly asked him for privacy as we calculated the tips. Although my friend and I were dissatisfied with the treatment from our waiter and the terrible, stomach disrupting food, we gave our waiter a more than satisfactory tip. A word of caution: If you choose to dine here, be sure to keep your copy of your receipt with you with the correct amount you authorized to pay, unless you feel like giving over a 30% tip to a rude, dishonest waiter. Looking at my bank account later, he had provided himself a substantially larger tip onto my card. Calling La Zebra was no help, as they told me to email concierge with my concerns. Days later, I have still not heard anything back. In every way, shape and form, La Zebra has left a bad taste in my mouth. Please reconsider dining here if you enjoy a good, well cooked meal with a restaurant that respects and cares about their customers who are paying good money (Over $10 for just one bottle of water!), and doesn't accept dishonest theft. Completely unacceptable. read more
