Horrible customer service. The receptionist was completely rude and the techs minimal to no conversation.

(i) When I was charged mistakenly by Anchor Point around $300 for an annual, I called them and they said there was an error and corrected the code and eventually my account was $0. (ii) 4-5 months later, I got this "debt collector" letter for what I owe to Carent Lab for $14. Why? Because apparently they don't send bills and I was the one who was supposed to not just call Anchor Point and but also Carent Lab to check if I owe something. I am sorry but you guys are business partners and you need to take care of your patients and do this billing stuff in coordination when there is a significant error. While I was expecting an apology for the original bill, getting a debt collector letter is simply not how things should work.

Despite my insurance sending multiple letters to tell them this, they never corrected the error and eventually billed me. After I informed them of the error, it took repeated calls for them to resubmit the claims and refused to do so for the older claims because it was allegedly too late. For the older bills I paid 3 times what the insurance company would have paid out and will not receive a refund because billing couldn't do their job. Moral of the story: Don't pay bills from this company until you've double checked they did their job correctly.

When I finally realized that I needed to go to urgent care with her, a quick Google search landed me at AFC urgent care Boulder. The women up front were very kind and helpful, and my daughter was seen within 20 minutes of arrival. The doctor was professional, kind, mild mannered, and easy to talk to. We opted to give her a variety of different test to ensure she didn't have anything serious, and it turned out just fine. We have pretty mainstream insurance and I paid $60 upfront and $60 later on. This seemed reasonable due to the nature of the visit. It turns out she didn't need any medicine, but we had lots of peace of mind going to visit our family, knowing that we were gonna be a-ok.

A couple days before, it felt like it relapsed and suddenly I was achy, feverish, with snot just continuously dripping and the worst cough that just wouldn't quit. I was terrified! I was due to play my cello fifteen feet up in the air in the coming days as part of my one-woman show that had a run time on one hour. My family encouraged me to go into urgent care. I simply picked this one because it allowed my to make an appointment instantly with little wait time. When I arrived, I had no wait time and was kindly ushered into a room. The nurse entered and took my vitals in less than five minutes of entering the room and was super kind. Soon after Aisling Ryan - Abbott stepped in and very quickly assessed the situation. She listened and was sympathetic to my situation and immediately gave me a plan of action after having me tested for COVID, RSV, and Influenza. My results showed I had Influenza A. Not just a cold. The relief of knowing what was going on, along with an action plan was a huge weight off my shoulders. Soon after starting treatment I found myself feeling immensely better and feeling confident about my airbourne performance. Every moment of my visit from desk to doc was perfect. Thank you AFC UC team for everything you did to help me!

Also, you can check out my previous reviews of other spots, I overwhelmingly leave positive reviews but this phlebotomist made the appointment incredibly unpleasant from start to finish. I came in and sat waiting (the automated check-in screen wasn't on when I arrived) for over 10 minutes in full view of this woman with no acknowledgment. I just shrugged it off, even though I was the only one in the waiting room. She finally comes up and turns on the automated check-in. I do that and ask why the next appointment isn't until 30 minutes from now, given that I've been the only one in the waiting room and we could have completed the blood draw in the time I spent waiting to be acknowledged. She says there's another appointment at 2pm - okay, fair enough. However, she then starts sassing me saying that I should have made an appointment - I brought up that the email I received said that no appointment was needed. She snaps: "well, who sent that email because that's not correct". I said: "How would I know that when I don't work here? I can pull up the email if you like" and she goes "I'm not trying to argue with you". Really? You could have fooled me. I have never had this type of verbal altercation at a lab (or anywhere else for that matter) in my life. This location is convenient but I will never come back, given that this is how they treat patients. The rating would be zero stars if Yelp allowed it.

Then she said she was calling the doctor to make sure she wouldn't run tests that the doctor didn't want. She dialed and then put the phone down. Then she asked for my insurance card and then started telling me about my visits from 5 years ago. She's nuts! I realized that and left. I called Quest to complain, and they said they'd give her more training. Quest doesn't care about you. Go to another lab that doesn't tolerate inappropriate behavior from their employees.
