I'm also stumped by the poor reviews. Done right, the process (other than the needle jab) is pretty much painless. 1) Go online and schedule an appointment. 2) Arrive a few minutes early and you'll easily spot the sign-in kiosks which take all of 5 minutes. 3) Within a few minutes, a pleasant gentleman will call you into their registration area and confirm all the arrangements. If he mispronounces your name, as he did mine, he'll apologize and smile. 4) You'll be instructed to sit in a blood-letting station (my term, not theirs) until a technician arrives and does the needle jabbing. I always think of the Pink Floyd line ("just a little pinprick..."). 5) You get a bandage on your boo boo and off you go to eat breakfast if you were on a fasting blood test! All in all, I was in and out in less than 20 minute, but mind you, that was with a 6:45 AM appointment. read more

Well dropping off specimens for others should not take thirty minutes. The lobby was packed with people and it seemed many had issues scanning in their information. It seemed the phlebotomist were knowledgeable but the secretary had no answers and kept getting up to look for someone to answer questions. Seemed she had no knowledge how to log the papers from new patients. They were very talkative maybe if they didn't get information from childhood they might see more clients quicker. All in all it took me 34 minutes in the waiting room to be seen to drop off urine with all paper work at hand. SMH read more

2 weeks ago I had an appointment for my 1 year old son. I made an appointment over doing a walk in, obviously, so we wouldn't have to wait too long considering how young he is. We still waited 45 minutes which I had to do with an impatient 1 year old who was getting irritable. I asked several times when we would be taken back and I was ignored. After 45 minutes we finally got called back to then wait in the lab chair for another 20 minutes. Taking blood from a 1 year old is hard enough and now he can't sit still cause of how irritable he is. They took 3 people (plus myself) trying to pin him down, Stuck him 3 different times, and still didn't get the sample needed. I understand how difficult it is to take blood from a baby but One of the techs even told him to "stop crying." In the end we had to leave. This morning I tried to go back to get the blood taken as his pediatrician needs it. I already knew I wasn't putting my son through what he went through last time. When I got called back to get checked in (20 minutes after my appointment time BTW) I saw a HUGE line of people in the back waiting to be helped. Then a tech came from the back to yell at the lady at the desk that she was checking too many people in and that she wasn't doing her job correctly. This indicated clearly that these employees were not communicating properly and the place was being ran very very poorly. I intended to ask how long the wait would be but every time I tried to ask her a question I was being completely ignored. I picked up my son and left. He wasn't suffering as a result of their profound incompetence. I still don't have his bloodwork done. I truly do not understand why they even make appointments in the first place. First the staff was very nice. My complaint is with the overbooking of patients. I had an appointment and still waited 45 minutes until I was seen. I was told the company changed how the booking is setup and if you walk-in without an appointment now you'll probably not be seen. It's not like it used to be in and out within about 15 minutes. I will never ever again come to this location. Rude and completely nasty. I had an 8:30 fasting appointment. By 9:45 I will still waiting in the back to have my blood taken. No one tells you anything just they're short and behind. If you only have one technician at the site, then the location should be closed for the day. Not available for walk ins and for people to wait hours with an appointment. Once I finally made a stink and had comments made back, the technician went back and asked another person to help her "stick" aka take blood. Very unfortunate experiences. I understand it must be difficult to be short-staffed, but the lack of communication overall and lack of action from supervisors was frustrating for patients. The first time I went to this LabCorp at 6 AM, a line of people and I waited out in the rain for 45 minutes to an hour just for the clinic to open. I finally had to leave to go to work. It turns out two people called out at the same time, but no manager or supervisor came to open the clinic. I feel really bad for the people who stayed in line. The next day, I tried to go back because I was told it would most likely be open on time when I called. Out of the staff there, only one employee was drawing blood, and we didn't even find out until a patient who had an appointment came out and told us. The staff never told us this, so I left because I knew I wouldn't be able to make it to work on time. Many people come in early because they have an early-morning job and cannot make it at any other time. I now have to fast for almost 24 hours straight and need to get bloodwork done after work at a nearby hospital because labcorp closes before my shift ends. I hope this location will be able to employ more staff or have supervisors step in when nobody can open the office so that this doesn't happen again, especially for patients who need to fast to get their blood drawn. It is very unsafe and unhealthy for patients. read more

I would caution anyone who is a "hard stick" from going here for lab work if it can be avoided. I was there a few days ago for a pretty significant blood test and I waited 45 minutes to see a tech. Then, the tech who saw me couldn't find a vein. Six sticks and 30 minutes later, I had to leave with instructions to come back because they couldn't get everything they needed. On top of their difficulty in drawing my blood, they were rude, insisting that I didn't drink enough water (I did) and that "things will be worse when I go to the hospital to have my baby" (I am pregnant). I know that drawing my blood is difficult but it's clear that the techs there are not good at their jobs and have zero bedside manner. I will go to a different lab and pay more to avoid going back to this Labcorp. read more

I came here for a few types of blood work after my PCP sent me here. The check in process was pretty straight forward via the kiosks that they have in the waiting area. The waiting area was clean and well-lit. A few of us in the waiting room looked at each other when we heard one of the front desk staff literally scream from her desk to one of the other phlebotomists, and the two of them yelled back and forth to each other, disagreeing about a patient issue. That was pretty unprofessional, but I shrugged it off. I figured maybe the staff were tired or understaffed; I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I was called back to one of the "chairs" to be registered and though we didn't say much to each other, I realized that elderly patients would have gotten confused on where to go if they heard someone yell from this desk "(their name) followed by to chair (etc etc)" I was instructed to wait in the hallway leading to the lab draw rooms which was completely fine by me. It was definitely a busy day from what I was watching. When it was my turn, I was sat in one of the chairs and the phlebotomist didn't really greet me or say who she was, just told me to lift my sleeve. I shrugged that off too, and when I gave her my arm, she studied the vein that I had. I tried making a fist to help her out, and she took her hand and rudely and repeatedly tapped my fist all of a sudden and said "stop doing that." I held myself back from telling her that her bedside manner could use a little more work. Once she was done, she didn't say anything else. So of course, I asked her if I needed to check out or anything. Without a glance up from her computer or closing instructions, she said "No, go home." I work as a registered nurse for a busy emergency department, and though I know all of us in healthcare have our good days and bad days, it doesn't take longer than one minute to be a lot more considerate to your patients. Perhaps it was more of a cultural or language barrier and understaffing issues at hand, but regardless personally I don't think I'll be going back here again. There needs to be more professionalism at this location. read more

I have gotten blood work done countless times and this is the WORST experience I have ever had. The entire staff is unbelievably rude. Yelling from the back window to the waiting room and saying "hellooooo" if they didn't get up within 2 seconds and then bossing people around with zero manners. I could also hear them loudly talking bad about a patient after she left who was simply asking a question about what tests she was having done. They need new management ASAP. bloodwork can be a stressful experience already for some and then you get treated like an incompetent nuisance. Please go to a different location. In short: drive the extra couple of minutes to Mount Laurel, Marlton or Voorhees. The time you'll spend driving to any of those locations will more than offset the time you'll spend sitting in the cramped, stuffy, dirty waiting room at the Cherry Hill location- appointment or not. On top of that, they make you sign into a book AND use some "self check-in" touchscreen kiosk. I would have had no idea of this unless a kind soul (and fellow patient) told me this. Otherwise I would have waited a half hour for a Labcorp employee to come out and announce how this works to everyone. It took me an hour to even talk to an employee here. Then I was called back to a desk, where I thought I'd be on the way to getting my blood drawn. But guess what? The lady who was supposed to process my lab orders disappeared as soon as I sat down without even acknowledging me! As I write this, I'm still waiting at desk 3 to check in. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll never come back here and I strongly suggest you never make the same mistake I did in coming here. Update: I heard one employee joke to another: "this is a patient service center." The others response "pssht, not by me!" That says it all. Another update: Betsy announced to a colleague that she'd be taking away the sign-in book at 1:45, despite the lab closing at 2. She then said "they had a lot of nerve pulling Trish to Pennsauken," and "I ain't staying here." This was all right in front of me. I did finally get processed, she said one of the tests my doctor ordered was duplicate (which I don't trust), and I was handed my blood orders with no direction as to where to go. Let's see if they get my blood drawn by closing time. Final update: I've got to say that Bruce (phlebotomist) was awesome. Nice guy, didn't feel a thing, great attitude. There's not much you can do to make Lab testing fun. But to make it a bit of a better experience, make an appointment online & come prepared to wait. If you have an online appointment, you'll be able to check in at the tablets, and get back to the chair fairly quickly. If you don't have an appointment, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait some more. The staff is busy, but they're nice enough and will try to get you in and out as quickly as they can. read more

My first time coming to this lab Corp was in the summer time, I wanted to leave the rating I felt after that time but thought I would give them a benefit of the doubt. Every office can have an off day. However, after being sent there again today, LabCorp should be embarrassed and should truly get to the bottom of how bad of a facility this is. The first time I went I was made to feel like I was stupid and incompetent. I have a chronic disorder that I need to get blood work checking up on a few times a year, therefore I am use to going to LabCorp. The lady working was rude, not helpful, and laughed at me the entire check in experience because my doctor did not send me with a lab slip. (We are doing virtual appointments) after the terrible check in, I was guided to a room where another patient was getting their labs done. Finally, I was given wrong information about my payment and had a hold on their services for over a month even though my insurance pay for it. The time today was even worse. I had the same rude lady, who again did not help or assist with trying to find my lap slip. Again "they couldn't find it" because my appointment was again virtual, and my doctor both times had put it in the system. She told me I didn't have a card and should just leave- when I had a copy of my insurance card faxed to the office. Then I had a man who was extremely rude when I said they were about to close and I would just try another place. "Why do you keep bringing up we are closing? If you have something else to do say that again" Both encounters there were workers everywhere not wearing their masks correctly, on their phones, and even with their feet up who didn't even blink an eye with patients being in and out. LabCorp should be in an outrage with these workers who are not compassionate, helpful, friendly, or kind. read more

Marlton's labcorp is on Rt. 73 and Greentree road, 2nd floor. Went there this past week for non-fasting blood work and the staff was super friendly and the phlebotomist was courteous and gentle with the blood drawing. I've also been to the LabCorp on Rt. 38 in Lambertville and both excellent. Just remember, the Marlton location is not open on Saturdays, but like the others, making a reservation online is easy and quick. read more

I wouldn't even give this place one star if I could, definite zero. I fasted all night because I am diabetic and had to get blood work for my A1C (sugar). I get there and the girl missed my vein 3 times. I get home and eat because i am starving after fasting for 16 hours, and then get a call that they lost my blood. I was furious! They then asked me to come back to redraw more blood but I now have eaten and the sugar test will not be accurate. I had to go though because I have a doctor appointment later this week and they need blood work results. So I get there and they then lie to me and said it was accidentally spilled.WHAT!?! First they lost it, and now it spilled! Do they think I am complete idiot? Take my advise and go have your lab work done somewhere else. This place SUCKS!!!! read more

I have never bruised from getting blood drawn until I came to this location. And 'bruised' is an understatement. The woman who took my blood must have done something incredibly incorrect for it to look and feel like this. At the very least, she completely blew my vein. The bruise I have from getting blood drawn at this location runs all the way from my forearm up to my bicep and around the back to my elbow. For two days after I could not straighten my arm. I already hate needles and getting blood drawn. At the very least I would like to know the person who is doing it can do it correctly. Lastly, I did not find the staff to be overly rude but I definitely wouldn't call them friendly. Very impersonal and short with you. Overall, not somewhere I'd recommend going to. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and I'm puzzled by the low ratings. I've always been happy here but today especially and I came on here to leave a rating. I had a somewhat long wait. I came at 11am and I thought the morning rush would be over but I was mistaken. There were 6-8 people ahead of me. I signed in easily and waited until I was called and then a very friendly young man, Bruce came in. I have tough veins as I told him. They frequently collapse. He explained to me and then he very patiently and carefully tried to get blood from me. It just wasn't happening so he told me he'd get someone he was sure could. I've been to labcorp a few times recently and I have always had a pleasant experience here. On my most recent visit, yesterday, I had an appointment for blood work at 11:30AM and I arrived around that time. I was taken back, had my information taken, did the blood work, and was out the door by 11:45AM. I did have an appointment- which I highly recommend. I was taken over other customers who were waiting because they did not have an appointment. The appointment process is super easy and can be done online in five minutes. read more

They did the blood work quickly, with an appointment. But the service was terrible. They treat patients like cattle. The person who took my blood, sticking a needle in my arm, didn't even say hello.
