Regardless they took care of me. The lady at the front desk was helpful and the tech seemed a little overwhelmed by me needing a STAT lab ordered, but once I got back she was efficient and my blood work was taken off site. It took over 6 hours for a STAT lab to be resulted, which seems like a long time (I work in a hospital and our standard is 2 hours). But I was taken care of.

Her office was small but quaint. The front desk lady was sweet and pleasant. Amy is so nice. She listened to what I was saying, we went over all my current meds and talked about my medical history, made an appt for the Fall, and discussed any current issues I was having. She was very down to earth and personable. I can't believe I found someone on the first try, having moved from Texas it took me 4 years there to find someone I liked. The hospital provides excellent care for this area and the surrounding areas. For example, we went to the Urgent Care clinic today. We were seen promptly by a physician's assistant who was thorough and professional. That's the way it should be. I know of many other patients who have had excellent care there. If they cannot provide the best care, they will refer you to Nashville or somewhere else. They are a business and are always making business decisions, but patient care is their top priority. I'm proud of our local hospital and very thankful for the good care they provide!

The technician began ROUGHLY pushing me, shoving me, and yanking me from position to position during the exam. I explained to her that I have a severe neck injury and this was quite painful. She apologized, but was only very slightly less rough during the remainder of the exam. The most amazing thing was that the tech was being shadowed by a supervisor or trainer, who silently stood and watched this play out, failing to intervene or even make a suggestion to the tech even after I started crying from the pain. I will never return to MRMC for a mammogram in case I am assigned to this technician. I don't believe this is how you should treat a person in a vulnerable position, especially after they tell you they are injured.

There was 1 lady there working all by herself but luckily they weren't busy. She was super nice and professional and made the whole experience better than my previous visit. In total it took about 15 minutes from enter to exit. That's how it should be. I was allowed 4 minutes this time instead of 2 and I wasn't treated like a druggie or looked down upon at all. The last visit I had was not good, I felt I was labeled as soon as I walked in. Anyways, I passed the test we chatted and that was it. Like I said, much better experience this time. Glad things have changed there. If I ever need another drug test I will try to choose this place. Thanks.
