My PTT and INR was missing from the bloodwork for the clearance, so I was recommended to get the bloodwork done at Labcorp. For some reason I'm unable to make an appointment at any of those two Labcorp locations in Long Island City, so I chose this location in East Elmhurst/Jackson Heights instead. Everything can be done online as long as your prescription is sent to them. The appointment process is done through their website and was simple. This Labcorp is on the second floor in PetCo Plaza and is also wheelchair accessible with an elevator. You may need to wait a little longer since they seem understaffed. The check-in is also done though their kiosk. The place looks clean to me. I was in an out within minutes. The Asian lady who drew my blood was courteous. read more

This is by far a zero star establishment forced to give one star. I showed up with a test order form and an appointment for a rather new type of blood test called Pretrm for risk management in pregnancy, and the Asian woman (didn't get her name) in the front desk immediately without even looking at the form says "what is this?" "Your doctor needs to send us the test order" I responded to her that this is the test order. I decided (before going any further) I would call my doctor and Pretrm representative for some clarification. I was advised by both of them that the form I was holding was the only form required for the test and that is all the lab needs to process me. Mind you, this Pretrm company works with labcorp specifically for their phlebotomy services. The Pretrm representative offered to call and speak to this labcorp agent and offer some guidance or explanation on on how to proceed but this labcorp agent refused to speak to her and told me "she doesn't need to speak to anyone about this" as I watched her send the incoming phone call to hold so she can play on her phone and continue to ignore me. I realized this woman has no clue what she's doing and even if she were to miraculously figure this form out I wouldn't be comfortable with having my blood drawn there. I decided to go to the next closest labcorp location on queens blvd, and was greeted by 2 agents that were very friendly and knowledgeable. NEVER GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!! This by far is the most unprofessional "medical" establishment. I went in for a drug test, something that I have become a custom to due to my job. I had come to this establishment the day before for a drug test and unfortunately I needed to come back because not enough urine was collected. I have a medical condition which requires me to use medical supplies when using the bathroom. I informed the the lab tech, Jazmin, that I will be needing my medical supplies to collect my urine and she told me i was not allowed to use MY medical supplies. This was extremely frustrating as I CAN NOT use the bathroom with out it, which was explained to her multiple times. It took another employee to intervene and allow me to use my supplies and after using the bathroom, Jazmin came back into the room and I explained to her that she needs to be more understanding to patients with medical conditions, at which point she took it upon herself to be extremely rude where she started yelling at me and boasting about how she has been in the medical field for 20 years. Jazmin, I too work in the medical field and know that if a patient has a medical condition and needs their medical supplies, they are allowed to use them. She kept yelling at me at which point she called me a bitch in front of patients and wanted to point out that I did not have a mask on to divert the issue of her being unprofessional and me calling her out on it. THAT IS NOT THE POINT JAZMIN! YOU WERE WRONG. Corporate will be hearing from me and this location needs new training and better technicians because Jazmins lack of work ethic and professionalism is completely unacceptable. She should not be allowed to work in the medical field with a nasty, disgusting, lack of compassion attitude like hers. She needs to find another field of work. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was lost trying to find this place, being that it's in a shopping center. My appointment was at 2:30 and I called at 2:28. I was in the shopping center but couldn't quite see the place. I simply wanted to call to ask if I was anywhere close. When I had called I was directed to an answering machine, which I'm sure everyone has experienced, gives a million options before actually being able to speak to the front desk. It was now exactly 2:30, the front desk picked up and I made her aware of where I was in the shopping center and she asked me what I was coming in for. I told her I was there for a pre-employment drug test and she said "No drug tests are earlier you have to come tomorrow." I had told her I had made an appointment online earlier in the week for today at 2:30. She replied "Okay it's 2:31 there's no more time." ????? I'm late by one minute, that had you just told me where you're located initially, instead of giving me attitude, I would've been there at 2:30 cause I'm literally already in the shopping center. She told me "No you're late it's not 2:30 anymore. Come tomorrow." I said I cannot and this drug test must be done by today, this is my job on the line. She said "That's not my fault." As I was trying to make my case to her, I was frantically walking through the area and finally found the labcorp. It's now 2:33. When I came in (this was definitely not the best way to approach her but I was very agitated) the first thing I said, with no introduction was if she was the person I was speaking with on the phone. I told her how rude she was and that was not the way to talk to people, she said I was late and we went back and forth for a minute. Finally, I checked in and she had the lab tech come out and start talking back to me too saying I was the one who was rude. I did not curse nor did I raise my voice. Yes you could tell I was bothered but not once was I disrespectful. Now I had two women from this LabCorp talking back to me in front of the other guests. If I didn't urgently need that pre-employment drug test I would have left. Those women were just awful and completely unprofessional. read more

AMAZING TEAM WORK! I went to LabCorp with someone who is phobic about bloodwork. Claudia and Jose were so patient and caring, and handled the situation as perfectly as anyone could. Claudia spent time explaining and encouraging while Jose worked calmly and expertly. They were so sensitive to the situation and so respectful. I recommend everyone go to them, you won't find anyone better! read more

I came for a drug test for a job I applied, I came literally 2:31 and told me it was closed how you making appointments and don't have respect for it. They told me to come next day early 7:30 so I can take it and I was like fine now that I came early they said it expired not my fault after multiple times I told them it expired yesterday. What was the point of asking me to come early if they knew it wasn't going to be fine next morning, both nurses or whatever they call eachother are disrespectful and hope they lose their job, they be eating inside not even closing their mouths. read more

Staff is extremely unprofessional from the woman at the front desk to the lab techs. My friend went in for a drug test in which she disclosed to the tech Jazmin that she has to use medical supplies when using the bathroom. Jazmin was not understanding at all and gave her a very hard time until maybe after the third time my friend had to repeat the same thing to her. Once she came out of the stall, she explained to Jazmin that she needs to be more sympathetic, understanding and knowledgeable of people who have chronic illnesses all for Jazmin to completely lash out in an unprofessional manner and curse at her. Doesn't matter if you've worked in healthcare for 1 month or 30 years, you need to understand that not every patient is the same and when someone is trying to educate you about something, rather than getting upset, take the opportunity to become more competent as it will be an advantage for you in the future. Completely disgusted by how the tech handled the situation and this will be taken up with corporate. Stay far away from this place. read more

Afterwards she yelled and cursed at my friend in front of the entire clinic simply because she tried to educate her on something that several people have to deal with. Labcorp do better! This woman ridiculed a patient for having a health condition! If you do not have a protocol for patients that have to use medical supplies then get a little team together and figure one out, train your staff properly. The lab tech Yazmin should be terminated for cursing at a patient and embarrassing a patient the way that she did, but at the very least retrain her on how to speak to people! read more

I give this place five stars because of Jose. He was professional, calm, and skilled. I have small veins thus making it difficult to do bloodwork. However, Jose was so calm and knew exactly what to do. He's a very nice young man. The place is also clean and the parking was a plus! read more

I've had pent up apprehension about having blood drawn for tests, not due to negative results but just a personal mindset on having any kind of medical based procedure done. Medical testing and anything taking place in a setting with technicians or doctors make me feel psychologically uneasy and I admit, it can be pretty irrational...but we all may handle certain things abnormally sometimes due to experience, conditioning or trauma. This LabCorp clinic, with the help of Claudia and Jose really melted away the layer of tension and feeling the need to panic. They were so accommodating, understanding and patient with this impatient patient. I can't sing or appreciate their praises enough. Claudia and Jose lightened this nerve-racking burden, and I am so very thankful. read more
