Just like visiting the doctor, getting lab work done is a pain. You are greeted by machines (find one yourself) and it's your job to show the robot who you are (I.D), why you're there (prescription?), and who's paying (your insurance card(s)). Even after I called the office after their first mistake, to explain exactly what I needed, they mismanaged the second test. If Dante Alighieri were alive today, he would probably add a tenth circle of Hell: the Labcorp waiting room in Little Silver, NJ. Labcorp has taken what should be a routine procedure and turned it into a trial of endurance. Upon arrival, you can't help but notice that no one from the establishment is actually there to greet anyone. Instead, you find yourself trapped in a room where, slowly but surely, everything becomes hopeless. The room is almost surreal. No one speaks. Everyone wears the same exhausted & expressionless thousand-yard stare. It's as if we've accepted this is simply our existence now. It's less like a medical office and more like a melancholy purgatory where time has lost all meaning. There are no wait times. No one checks in. You just sit and wonder if eventually someone will remember you exist. Then, like a beacon of light piercing through dark & stormy clouds, you hear your name. The optimism returns. You think, "Great, I can finally get my bloodwork." No. Not even close. Every door leads to another circle, it seems. I walked through the door to the next room only to discover "having my name called" meant I had the distinct honor of joining every other person who had already been called before me. They should just greet you with a sign that says, "Welcome to Labcorp, where every line leads to another line!" I mean, Hell, even Dante had the courtesy to tell readers which circle they were in. Labcorp could learn a thing or two about managing expectations. Be transparent about the journey. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this Labcorp location was unacceptable. First, despite being instructed to upload my documents online before my appointment, I was told upon arrival that I needed printed copies anyway. If paper copies are required, that information should be clearly stated during the online registration process. Asking patients to upload documents and then expecting them to bring printed versions is confusing and unnecessary in 2026. The biggest issue, however, was the receptionist. Before I was even helped, I watched her interact with an elderly woman who was struggling to use the kiosk. Rather than offering assistance, she spoke to her in a rude, impatient, and condescending manner. She then shouted instructions across the waiting room. The woman understandably misunderstood, went to the wrong window, and was scolded again. It was embarrassing to witness and completely lacking in professionalism or compassion. Unfortunately, I experienced the same dismissive attitude when I checked in. Patients should never feel like they are inconveniencing the staff simply by asking for help. The only reason I'm giving one star instead of zero is because the phlebotomist was excellent. She was kind, professional, and had my blood drawn within two minutes. As a wife and mother, I often put my family's needs before my own, and it already takes a great deal for me to prioritize my own healthcare. Experiences like this make it even harder to seek routine medical care. No patient--especially elderly patients--should be made to feel intimidated or embarrassed for asking questions. I will not return to this location, and I cannot recommend it to others. Labcorp needs to ensure that its front desk staff are properly trained in customer service and that its appointment instructions accurately reflect what patients are expected to bring. Basic courtesy, clear communication, and respect should be the minimum standard for every patient who walks through the door. read more

Horrible horrible experience. Not only were they rude and unfriendly. But once I had my blood taken. It wasn't until driving home 22 minutes that they called me to tell me they don't perform the test at this location. So they were rude to me and took my blood for nothing. I have never had a more unprofessional experience. I would recommend getting your blood work tested anywhere else. read more

The staff is outstanding but overloaded! The office is always packed with wait times exceeding 90 minutes. I have suggested to Labcorp leadership, open a location in Middletown NJ to off load the Hazlet and Little Silver locations but it's fallen on deaf ears. It seems they are more focused on their operating expenses rather than providing a good patient experience and also an improved working environment for their team. read more

NO ONE to help you, no receptionist just an automated sign in process. Staff are overworked and rude. Wait times are ridiculous and if they're going to make you wait that long they should at least tell you. They yell your name from the back, through a wall, when it's your turn! You can barely hear them. There was an old man having trouble with automated sign in and no staff member to help him- so I helped. They need to hire more people and make some effort to be helpful and polite. I wish there were an option for zero stars. read more

Zero stars ! Snottiest lady in reception , I asked to speak to manager n she stood up like she was gonna fight me n said IM the manager! I said well then give me your manger moron ! I go finally for the blood draw and Tracey the phlebotomist was a horrific nasty nightmare . Ii just found out in fact I have to go back bc the lunatic didn't collect my blood correctly . How could she , she was too busy being snotty to me as I was trying to lighten things up. I swear it was front reception girl whom said something about me n then her buddy Tracy treated me awful. This was my first time coming to this location. The wait was very long but when I got inside LabCorp it seemed to be very short staffed. The phlebotomist named Tracy G drew my blood without a problem. Tracy G was very kind and efficient. Definitely will be coming back. read more

From wait times of over an hour (in what seemed to be an empty office), being left on hold for well over 2 hours and the inability to get paperwork other then by FAX? I recently had a horrific experience with the staff at Lapcorp in Little Silver. Three different technicians attempted to take blood from my 1 year old daughter - each of them being extremely rude and not sharing any information with me, as her mother during the process. They would leave the room without saying a word and be gone for 10 minutes with no update. The third woman came from another room and started touching the needle and my daughter without changing her gloves. When my mother asked her to change her gloves, she responded rudely and asked her to wait outside. After 40+ minutes and being extremely rough with my daughter, we went home without getting any bloodwork taken. Absolutely horrific experience and the staff should be ashamed at how they treat their all of their patients, let alone those who are under 1 years old. Also for what it's worth, my daughter was sitting very still, laughing and smiling so she can't be blamed for the incompetence and rudeness of the staff. They said she had small veins; which very well may be true, and if they would have shown one ounce of empathy or kindness, I wouldn't be writing this review. If you need to get your children's bloodwork done I urge you to book your appointment elsewhere to ensure you don't go through the trauma me and my daughter had to. read more

I have had both routine annual blood draws, as well as thyroid annual tests, so I use this lab at least twice per year. I recommend going on line to schedule testing because it's much more efficient. The lab staff takes appointments first. Very efficient way of doing business. Technicians are good at their job. Recommend you also drink a lot of water before a blood draw. It makes it easier for the tech to draw when you are fully hydrated. read more

I waited one and a half hours there this morning. at Little Silver location. Place was packed. I know you can make an appointment but there a very few available unless you plan weeks ahead. The system of allowing those with appointments to go first seems to create a logjam. Phlebotomist was fine... no complaints with him. The wait seemed excessive to me.
