Never really had a bad experience here. To me it's all common sense- like if you don't have an appointment/just walk in obviously you're going to wait a long time. The office isn't the nicest in terms of being up-kept or renovated but who cares? My wait time was literally like 5-10minutes, perhaps if I had to wait a lot longer I would have gotten more annoyed. There was a line outside that i had to wait in because of limited space in the waiting room but it went by quick. Two stars because I do like the techs during the week. Here is what's wrong with it: Unless you get there about an hour before they open, you will be waiting about 45 to 3 hours to get bloodwork done. Not even complicated blood work. This is true fit those of us that must fast before bloodwork. This is true during the week too. Less experienced techs seem to work on the weekend and have caused bruising from the blood draws. We get this every week. Tried them several times and each time there is a problem. Instead we go to another location in another city that has much better techs. Labcorp: please improve your service here. We have to drive twice as far because of the inferior service at this location. We have gone too many locations, at least 10 over the last two years and this one is by far your worst location. read more

This is my go-to location for any blood work my doctors order. The staff here is incredibly patient and kind. In the last month, I've been to their lab twice as a walk-in bright and early and both times I've had the luck of getting nurse Hasu P. Hasu calms me down before and during the process of taking my blood. She distracts me with great conversations but most importantly her hands are so light and her skills so amazing that I barely feel the prick of the needle and I never feel when she changes between tubes. I went to lab corp this morning at 6:59 bevause on the phone it states they open at 7:30 (not just on Saturday's) it said Monday through Friday 7:30- until. I experienced a very rude staff named Sandra. I asked for her last name and did not receive it. I still called the number to complain and also emailed the site supervisor. He was very helpful. His name was glennn. I left my ID in the car and I went outside to get it, when I came back inside she told me I had to go back and wait in line... I was already inside and just left my ID in the car why would I go to the back of the line?! She also said she heard me tell others " I was in the car " so let me get this straight you heard me tell other people " I was in the car " and you still let me in? incorrect. I was talking to the old men I was with letting him know we been here so early we were in the car waiting over an hour. We came out the car once other people started to pull up. She tried to close the door in my face and I pushed it open, I walked in and I said who is her supervisor? The supervisor Jennifer then took her side at first until i explained to her me and the other older men was here since 7 AM: she then said let me verify with the men and she did: she came back and apologized, took my information and I was placed in a room. How embarrassing l on their behalf, I'm also pregnant and did not eat yet which is why I was there so early because I needed to do blood work. Sandra was very nasty;, almost racist like. I was shocked. Jennifer is the supervisor on the job and was helpful. Plan ahead and make an appointment. All the bad reviews are from people walking in. When I pulled up to the lab, there were people outside. I was thinking to myself, "this is going to be a long wait". I went in and was acknowledged immediately in happy tone. I checked in via the kiosk, gave the front desk my papers, paid my copays, and taken back to the room. All the staff working here are very hard working and friendly. I've been to many facilities where the staff moral is affected by the stress. They aren't making you wait on purpose. They have a lot of patients to get through. Appointments get priority. There is a TV monitor with the queue so you can know when you're close. Still, walk-in patients kept complaining but instead of brushing them off, the staff asked for their name and gave them an update on the queue. I wasn't able to catch any names, but I think one was Edith. She was running around and helping the other staff with questions as well as being courteous to the patients. I have had blood drawn at the Seal PCH Beach location, which was a positive experience, but decided to go to the closer 1703 Terminal location. I had been there once before and everything was just great. No discomfort no bruises, everyone else there is wonderful - however, the one person assigned to draw my blood is a woman named Patricia who either needs retraining or to find a different profession. Up until this last blood draw, all the caregivers have been super professional, leaving no marks on my body & causing minimal discomfort as they drew my blood. Yesterday I had to go, and had the misfortune of having blood drawn by Patricia who is loud, rude & most destructive phlebotomist I have ever experienced. first, she commented on how many tests had been ordered - absolutely unprofessional and none of her business; seemed irritated that there were more than a few. I should've asked for a different caregiver at that point, little did I know how much worse it was going to get Patricia punched my vein so hard with the needle that she left a quarter size bruise. if you are a client/patient at this particular location, avoid Patricia & do not subject yourself to this kind of physical abuse. read more

This lab is conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. The lab technicians are friendly and very good at their job. The problem is at the front desk with appointments. The last two times we have been here we made appointments ahead of time online. Today we waited 25 minutes and last time it was 45 minutes! They apologize profusely, but it rings hollow. Phlebotomy scrubbed pad wrong by going back and forth vs circular motion, didn't take off tourniquet, had to mention it. But put needle in needle wrong from the side of the vein than along the vein (easy vein). Sore next day now. Hope it wasn't serious damage. This place is bad when it comes to drug testing. I feel bad for the workers who are overworked but you are dealing with people's personal information and well-being. Twice now I've been here and the computer or printers are not working so we have to do things manually, The person doing it is very nice and professional, but makes a few errors with paperwork, I know you are human but you have to keep in mind we all are going threw things, I shouldn't have to stress over someone make mistakes on my paper because the computers/equipment is not working. I had to take a day off work to do this test for a better opportunity. Keep in mind you guys only do drug screens during normal business hours and you closed for normal lunch break times, It is wrong that you guys don't take these things seriously. You messing up on my paperwork is no big deal to you but it is a lot of lost time and money for me, not to mention I could get passed up for the new job because someone else paperwork went through faster than mine. Came for a urine drug testing. I checked in on the ipad. They asked me to wait in my car for a text message given COVID and social distancing guidelines. The testing was done quickly and the staff were friendly and informative. They clearly communicated instructions and told me about follow up for the testing. As a Multiple Sclerosis patient I unfortunately take several medications, which require routine blood work to monitor various organs' functioning. Hence, I've become quite familiar with LabCorp. (both offices at this address). Fast and friendly, with or without an appointment. Each staff person with whom I've encountered has always been friendly, and the utmost in professionalism. Plus, the phlebotomists who've drawn my blood have always been top notch. In fact, the most recent guy (of course, I don't know his name) not only was friendly and courteous, my experience was almost pain free, not to mention that I had minimal bruising afterwards (one of my firsts). While having blood drawn is not something I consider fun, I've always been pleased with my experiences here. Additionally, their Patient Portal allows me to see my test results prior to doctor follow-up. I can't speak for other LabCorp. locations, but this one (on Termino Ave. in Long Beach, CA) is definitely top notch in my book. read more

I've been here a few times now to be able to leave a review. Unfortunately, I had a lot of personal burdens to get to my appointment. My car was out and I took an Uber here. The city turned the water off on this location without telling them, which cancelled my appointment. Another inconvenience was my appointment was too late for me to go to any closer clinics as it was near closing time. Sheila made it so the Lakewood location could take me in by appointment the next day. She did not give them a time so that I can come in whenever I could. I did not have to wait in that long line at opening. I was in and out and not even late for work. They sent the lab results very quick. I thought with my appointment being pushed back a day would make it too late to get to my doctor for my appointment that same week. The one thing I wish LabCorp did differently and not specifically this location, is to call me way earlier than my appointment to notify me of the closure. I could've saved in ride share fees. I got a courtesy call but right when I was already taking to Sheila and in the lobby. All in all, I'm happy with this location and the strings Sheila pulled to get my lab to happen. read more

My husband and I had a great experience at this location. Our technician Edith who did our blood draws was amazing! She got a clean stick on both of us, no bruising or concerns at all. My husband HATES needles and Edith made his experience comfortable. We would definitely come back to this location, all staff was really nice. The nurse performing my blood work was absolutely the rudest person and should really consider what she does for a living. Had to take an unexpected urine sample and was treated very unkindly when I told the nurse that I might not be able to complete this bc I didn't have to use the facilities. Lab Corp headquarters refuses to help patients who phone call in with even the slightest bit of problems. Based in Burlington, North Carolina, their Customer Service number is: 888-522-2677. CUSTOMER SERVICE: F-minus, especially at the 888 number. THERE IS NO even barely adequate CUSTOMER SERVICE AT LAB CORP. I called THREE times to let Lab Corp now, as a courtesy and as a good Samaritan, that their hours are MISPRINTED on the Yelp site for the Long Beach hours, zip 90804. Yelp's website insists that Lab Corp is open at 7 AM. They are NOT. You would think that Lab Corp would want to fix their Yelp website hours, as it affects hundreds of thousands of people. NOPE! Reps who answered actually mumbled. They did not care. I kept saying, "Did you know your hours are wrong for Long Beach on Yelp? Don't you want to fix that?" Just LOOK at this photo below from 5.15.2019 --- and SEE for yourself! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/labcorp-long-beach?select=19zYWmkcbywQ2yGJMvWKQQ NOPE. They didn't care about wrong hours, AND THEY *STILL* DON'T CARE. One rep hung-up without a word. I called back and asked politely for a supervisor. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE MY INFORMATION, mumbled, and they SIMPLY DID NOT GIVE A RAT'S ASS to care even one tiny crumb. To top it off, in addition to hiring employees WHO REFUSE TO HELP YOU on their "Customer Service line, 888-522-2677", the Lab Corp in Long Beach is always extremely crowded, with AT LEAST an hour wait, often 75 minutes or more, even if you arrive 20 minutes before they open at 8 AM. The new machine which scans your cards delays the process and adds at least another 15-20 minutes of wait time. Because it is confusing to use! AND this brain-dead machine adds AN EXTRA STEP & requires assistance from one of their local employees, who could easily be checking in people manually, which IS FAR FASTER than this time-intensive, cumbersome, space-hogging albatross machine from hell. CUSTOMER SERVICE: F-minus, especially at the 888 number. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT LAB CORP. It should be called, "Customer DIS-Service". Lab Corp now uses an almost completely automated, robot-run phone system to save them money. I took my elderly father here for labs and was horrified at the lack of social distancing being practiced. Six foot lines were painted on the sidewalk but were ignored. Three men were standing only a few feet from the entrance so if I remained 6 feet from them I could not tell when it was my turn. One of them told me to go in but would not move out of the way and then there was already someone checking in, no room to safely enter. Then at the same time I'm trying to guide demented dad safely in. Inside there were 4 chairs spaced by another chair, so 2 feet apart. She called me to the front desk twice. She didn't even say anything to me when she done talking to me. I'm standing at the desk, and I'm like is there anything she says no. I have to say I will try a new lab so I don't have to deal with an attitude when you come to a facility for care and don't receive proper greeting. Unlike other lab Corps locations in this area, I find this location be the best one in this area. They have always been very courteous to me and accommodating, assisting in calling my doctors office for my lab orders. They went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was a good one. I can be a hard stick and Never had a problem getting my blood here. I was sent from the Pacific Ave location to this one, bc 2 people who each tried once could not get my blood and became frustrated and told me I had to go to the Termino location! So do not go to Pacific Ave location, even if it's closer! As a Nurse I can attest to that fact that the Pacific Ave location was lacking basic core competencies. It was appalling. Tammy at Termino!
