Accompanied my wife to this Labcorp for the first time, located on the second floor of a medical building. The waiting area was clean with many people waiting, the patients seemed to be helped professionally and process moving fairly efficiently. Like most of us, my wife does not enjoy getting blood drawn, but she said the staff was courteous and competent. Tip: My wife had a 10am appointment, we arrived around 9:40, it was very busy with many people waiting. She was called at 9:50 so appointment really helped. Parking: paid lot but we were able to find 2-hour street parking next to the Thrift store across the street at 9:30am on a Monday. read more

This was my second time coming here. The first time I walked in and told myself I would never do that again, lol. This time I made an appointment and was in and out within five minutes. So I definitely recommend scheduling ahead. I deducted one star because the restroom only has a hand dryer and no paper towels. I find it unsanitary, especially in a medical office where patients are providing urine samples. There should be paper towels available so people can dry their hands and open the door properly. Labcorp is located on the second floor. This is my second time visiting this location. Unless you arrive early, expect a crowd and limited parking. Booking an appointment ahead of time is definitely recommended. My appointment was at 10 a.m. During check-in at the kiosk, it gave me the option to reschedule due to their busy schedule or to "continue." I chose to continue and told myself I'd wait about 20 minutes before considering rescheduling. Surprisingly, about 5 minutes later, I received a text saying, "Your Labcorp technician is ready to see you. Please proceed to the Labcorp check-in area and your name will be called shortly." I went to the lobby, where the front desk staff verified my information and told me they'd be with me soon. My name was called a little over 20 minutes later, and the actual blood draw took less than 5 minutes. Arrive about 15 minutes before your appointment so you'll have enough time to find parking. After trying to pick the least bad Labcorp location (for better or worse based on reviews), I settled on the Los Alamitos location. You do have to pay for parking, about $4.50 as there is permitted and limited free street parking, but I would choose this location anyway. Don't worry about an appointment during the weekdays if you can't find one online, you check in at the location and they will give you an appointment time which was not accurate (ie it says 1.5 hour wait) which mine said, but I had my tests completed in 15 minutes of arriving. The office was clean, front office staff was organized, and the techs were patient and accommodating. Very appreciative of Paolo for his extremely caring and nice demeanor! Thank you so much! I came on a weekday right upon opening at 7am as a walk-in and there were already people waiting outside the door (about 12 ahead of me). You check in at the kiosk, pass any printed lab orders to the front desk and wait for the lab tech to call you in. I waited 25 minutes to be seen, and I was done by 7:45am. It's a busy office and everyone was pretty efficient. The lab technician Lydia was thorough and very kind. The bathroom can be cleaner though. Overall, the process was very quick, but an appointment is recommended and I can't say the same for a Saturday walk in. For drug tests- I don't think they start until 8am (I overheard but do check with the office too to make sure). Also, a downside is that you pay $4.55 for parking. You can't park in the residential areas without a permit and the other surrounding street parking is free for 2 hours starting 8am to 6pm. Wouldn't risk it for a ticket. Other than that, I would come to this location again. read more

What a terrible place to go to. Don't ever go here.!!!!!! So I took my siblings over there for an Employment Drug Test. We went there on 6/18 at noon and they close because of their AC is Not working. I did call many times before we went but no one answer the phone . We left. Coming back today at 12:10. Checked in, waited for an hour. Then this lady (did not get her name) told us that my siblings have to go to a different location in Garden Grove where they have staffs who speaks Vietnamese. I can't be my siblings translator????? First of all, my siblings took these test before they know what to do. Why they refuse to provide service to my siblings. I am there to help them to checking. I am NOT there to take the test for them. I am not interfering with the procedure or test results in any way. Why this lady refused to provide the service. To make the matter worse, she even helped a few people who were checking in after us????? I did not want to arguing with this employee. We left. Highly recommend this LabCorp for pre-employment drug testing. I arrived at around 7:10am and there were about 20 people in the waiting room and 5 people in line to check in. By the time I checked in at the kiosk, the wait was about an hour and a half to 2 hours for a drug screen. However, my name was called after about 50 minutes and I was out of there in about an hour. The lab is located on the second floor of a new-ish building. Very pleasant indoor area to wait compared to other locations where you have to wait in your car. Appointments are now highly encouraged. Next appointment for a routine blood test at this location was in 11 days. Next available within 10 miles was 10 days. This is horrible. Just go back to drop-in's like lab testing has always been in the past or open up a lot more appointment slots. read more

I went there early Nov. 2025, not my usual lab but my doctor wanted a repeat done and it was the only place I could get an appointment. I had orders from both doctors printed and with me, as well as the receptionist confirmed they were in the computer. Phlebotomist was very nice and drew only 2 viles, which I thought was odd. I got the results back the next day on one set of orders but nothing on the other. I called repeatedly to ask what happened to the second set of orders. No one answers the phone nor did anyone return my multiple messages that I left. Finally some results (that were an exact order I had already received results for from the first batch) now assigned to the other doctor and with different results! Bizaar because the other doctor didn't order those labs. Again, I called repeatedly to try to get the results of the order that my doctor wanted quickly. Again, no response and the complete BMP which was need quickly never came, nor did a phone call or email or anything to try to learn what to do. I couldn't get another lab appointment for 3 more weeks. Without getting through by phone, you can't even discuss with the manager or supervisor. I will never use that lab again and have reported this to both of my physicians, who also will not make referrals to that lab. read more

The receptionist with red hair was so rude, I went in to do my glucose exam, and as my OB instructed communicated that I was on a time crunch, I sat there waiting and hour (I had the timer running on my phone as well) and got up to ask them again then she said "yes we know" rudely. As my alarm went off and I had my OB on the phone she stated they should have took me in sooner doesn't matter if there was a 5 min grace period. I felt so overwhelmed & stressed. I got up to leave. The receptionist heard me on the phone and ran after me and tried to blame my OB saying they didn't communicate properly. No she has. This never happens at Quest. Never have I ever been treated so poorly. The quality of care & service is non existent, I've never been to a labcorp where I was treated like crap. I'm big on treat others as you would like to be treated. Never did I made a tantrum. Leaving crying was the worse experience. No one should be made me feel uncomfortable or unseen especially when it comes to exam our doctors sends us to get. But labcorp is so quick to send a bill. I work in the customer service industry and if my team ever spoke to client or patient like this I'd be disgusted. & I would reprimand them. Never have I ever been so disappointed by labcorp services. And I wanted to leave peacefully, my husband defended me in a respectful manner and told the lady with red hair "you need to be compassionate, she hasn't ate she's pregnant and she was instructed to get this exam done within the HR not during a 5min grace period". I took a personal day off to get this done. In my profession I work with people all day and work long days I don't haven't the luxury to drop everything and I strictly block my days for appointments. Terrible patient management system. I had an appointment there Saturday morning (yes they are open Saturday by appointment only) They have a unique but flawed check in process when you check in online once you arrive and they send you a text to go to the office when ready to see you. I'd assume that it's likely to reduce overcrowding, address or physical distancing, and to improve efficiency due to COVID-19. With that being said, I was waiting 40 minutes in my car before deciding to check to see what the wait was. On their door it even says maximum of 6 people waiting in the room so to follow their rules I decided to wait 5 more I minutes to respect this requirement.After waiting that long, I decided to enter the waiting room to see if there was 6 people just so I could wait there instead . As I walk in to an empty waiting room, 2 of the receptionists asked what time my appointment was. When I said it was 45 minutes past my appointment and I was waiting for the text, they giggled and said, "you were waiting that long?" Well absolutely, that's what the confirmation told me to do, wait in my vehicle until I received a text. They then told me that the system doesn't work on Saturdays.. ummm HOT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS?!". LabCorp, you guys gotta be better. 5/5 all around. I usually come on Saturdays, appointment only, and I'm in and out within 10 minutes. I've gotten my blood drawn here several times and the technician know their way around the veins. I've had blood drawn where I'm screaming internally because it was so painful but not here. It happened so fast I didn't realize we were done. If you made a appointment and show up at a reasonable time you should be fine. The only problems I ever had was parking but they have street parking as well as their own metered lot. read more

I walked in on a Saturday with my 94 year old mother. It is very difficult to get her out of the house and she struggled with the walk up the ramp to the entrance. I knew they were appointment only on Saturdays but their website was down when I tried to make an appointment, so I took a chance. When we walked in the door there were no customers waiting. There were three young women sitting at the desk. Long story short, they refused to accept her because we did not have an appointment. I asked them if they would reconsider because she struggled so much just to get out of the house and up their ramp. They told me no, that it wouldn't be fair to the customers with appointments. I reminded them that there was no one waiting. I told them that we tried to make an appointment but their website was down, and they said it was because there were no appointments. Came here at 8:15 on a Saturday morning. It's a little hard to find but they are on the 2nd floor room 200-202! If the street parking at the front of the building on Cherry is full, they have street parking along the sides too (2 hours free). I saw it was more crowded at the front vs the sides were there were many empty spots. I was out by 8:45-50 which was great considering the room was more than 1/2 full when I walked in. You sign in at the front then take a seat. They'll call you to give your paperwork. Then they call you in. The area they draw blood in is clean and simple. My phlebotomist Lydia was very nice and professional. She was also skilled and knowledgeable..didn't hurt really, she found my veins quickly, and now a day later I have no brushing at all! read more

I had a great experience at this location overall. The staff was friendly and did their jobs well for the most part. My only real complaint is about LabCorp as a whole. I checked in on the mobile web instead of at the desk. I noticed that all their digital check in stations were not working so that should have been a clue that the mobile web check in wouldn't work as well. After waiting about twenty minutes past my appointment time I checked in at the desk to see if there was a problem with the mobile check in. The staff was very apologetic and got me in immediately. This isn't the first time this has been an issue for me. This has been this way at multiple locations. I've been coming to this location for years. I'm always happy with the service and staff. The lab is located inside a retro building that could benefit from a facelift and additional parking. There was a line for the elevators; and one of the elevators was broken. The one functional elevator is old and untrustworthy looking. So I took the stairs. Good thing I booked an appointment because the line for "walk ins" was huge. Once I walked inside the lobby I was relieved to see that the staff was monitoring the amount of people walking in. Their check in kiosk is self explanatory and I appreciate the complimentary sanitizing wipes. The front desk clerk was courteous and so was the lab tech. The lab has privacy cubicles. The phlebotomy chairs are comfortable and very clean. My total time spent in here was about 15 minutes from the time I checked in. I never look forward to having my blood drawn. But, I can honestly say it's pain free. Just feeling a little fatigued. Tomorrow will be a better day. read more

I don't know whether to blame the business or my employer for sending me here for a new hire drug screen but the service I've encountered is ridiculous & so unorganized. As soon as I TRIED to open the front door a nurse right away asked me to wait outside & I understood BC of covid protocols. What I did have an issue with was that she didn't even ask me to check in first or to wait outside & that she'd be back to get me or anyone else that was waiting outside. Once I was able to get inside she asked if I had checked in. I stated that I hadn't BC u had told me to wait outside..I went to check in, gave her my ID & she didn't even let me know that she'd hold onto it until I was called so I was just waiting there like a dummy for her to give my ID back & she kept looking @ me as to why I hadn't moved ? She finally asked me to sit outside again, mind you the hallway was muggy & hot Then there were more people confused outside waiting to go inside & check in like I had in the beginning & nothing. I don't blame the nurse though, BC it's the businesses job to hire enough people so that not just ONE person is in charge of everyone coming in. I can understand why the nurse had gotten irritated since she wasn't getting any help. The only pleasant part of my experience was the nurse that called me in to do the drug screening.
