I witnessed the lab tech treat 2 people who came after a cut-off time with dignity and grace. He could have denied the 2 gentlemen service as they were well past the time, but due to what appeared to be miscommunication in their prior stop, he got them what they needed and got going. He also saw us, even though I got the times wrong and checked in 15 minutes after our appointment. I was handed an estimate of our services and asked how I'd like to care for it. He checked my toddler's arms for a vein and then sought to consult with a colleague. His colleague came back, checked again, and agreed that what he had found previously would work. She was very gentle with my toddler, and it was, to my surprise, the smoothest process I could ever imagine. They both complimented her on how well she handled it (zero tears), and she was rewarded with stickers by the female tech. The male tech let us out the door at 4:39 pm, and I thanked them for their patience with us. The staff at the St. Thomas location are lazy and rude. I have been here twice for labs recently. The first time I had the first appointment of the morning and the staff showed up late. This time the same people were just hateful. This reflects poorly on St. Thomas Hospital and Labcorp. read more

I normally do not care for my LabCorp experiences for various reasons, BUT yesterday I received exceptional attention and care at the 8th floor of an Ascension-St. Thomas doctor / professional building at 300 20th ave North. Go there if you can, bc Emily is the best LabCorp employee I've ever encountered. Emily has oversight of this team, and the greeter got Emily involved in determining the nature of my doc's orders. Emily thoroughly discussed it with me, then called some higher authority to confirm how to carry out the order. THEN, Emily did my blood draw herself (I felt nothing!!!) and walked it through to ensure the specimen went to the right place per the order. It's bad enough to go to LabCorp with routine things, but this was a re-do, since they didn't follow orders the first time 6 wks ago. read more

It smells weird when you walk in. But.. this is where people go to do all sorts of tests.. blood work and urine. Yuck. They provide quick and easy check ins using iPads. They also provide alcohol pads if needed to clean the screen and your fingers. I went in today because I needed to do a drug test for a new place of employment. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Everything was easy to follow and the person handling my business was thorough and friendly enough. read more

The ladies got me back a minute after checking in at the kiosk and were very accommodating as I need to lay down for the draw. They were so nice and probably best draw I have had as I didn't even know the needle went in. Very professional. If you make an appointment...it will be a smooth experience. Robert drew my blood for some routine tests and it was the BEST blood draw I've had. He was kind, patient, funny, and the blood draw was so painless. I usually cry when I go to anything resembling a doctors office and I ALWAYS cry when I get my blood drawn. Not today. Based on another Yelp review, I made an appointment and it was super easy. I definitely second the recommendation that you MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ahead of time. I scheduled online, and even though I arrived 20 minutes early, they took me right back. It's obvious that they prioritize appointments over walk-ins. It's also obvious that they are used to dealing with patients who are combative or otherwise difficult. The nurses were very no-nonsense ("Don't flush, don't wash your hands until you bring me the sample, you have four minutes etc. etc.) and aren't really in the mood for small talk. Come prepared (read: hydrated), be polite, and it'll take 5 minutes to get in and out. read more

When they finally called my husband (after sitting for over an hour) they called him before the 10:00 lady.. So he mentioned to the tech that the lady had the appointment slot just before him. Went there twice and they could not do my PRETest for my pregnancy. 06-13-2022 Was my First time (arrived 1 hour before they closed) and they didn't have enough staff to assist with the test. they asked to return next day. I had my son with me and they didn't mention that he could be there with me. 06/14/2022 - second time- I went next day (as they asked me the first before) and now the other receptionist is saying they can't see me because I have a child with me! I told her, I was here yes with him and the other receptionist didn't say anything that a child can not be with me for a Preaterm Test! all she said "I was not here yesterday"! also, ive seen they turning away other person (not sure the reason)! But they are lazy and unprofessional. I've took time off of my work, and will have to pay child care to get this test done. I'm just worried they are going to create another execuse not to see me! Wow, the staff here is rude! No human dignity or compassion. I told the nurse i needed water and couldn't pee yet. She treated me horribly with zero compassion, and said I had to stand in the bathroom until I could pee while she watched. It's like being treated as a prisoner. Cold and disdainful staff. I was skeptical about coming here based on the bad reviews, but needed to come here for a pre employment drug screen and my job sent me here. I took the advice of previous yelpers who recommended to make an appointment beforehand. I checked in on the tablet in the waiting room and was called back immediately. There were 2 other people in the waiting room when I arrived there. I was in and out of there within 5 minutes. The lady helping me was conversational and very friendly. Had to get a pre-employment drug screen. Had an appointment and still waited over an hour. I'd hate if this was my primary lab service.

Went for drug test for new job. At 7:20 am the waiting room was already full and only 2 hard benches left to sit. By 10am, people were standing inside and outside. Quoted hour and a half wait but waited three (3) hours. I have never waited so long for any procedure in my life so I give it two (2) stars for wait time. If you have the option, go to another facility. Five (5) stars to the staff who put up with all the whining and complaining. They stayed patient, friendly and professional with the people waiting even when they were being completely unreasonable. The tech apologized sincerely several times when I finally went back even though it was not her fault. She was knowledgeable and positive even after, I am sure, hearing a lot of crap and working her butt off. The place has high volume so I would suggest a bigger facility with more chairs--or more facilities. I think it would not hurt to have a drug test only area or day to make wait times better. If you don't have an appointment and walk in, then you must wait after the appointments, which are high volume as well. Might not hurt to have a paging system like they do at some facilities. People could go do other things, the waiting area would be less crowded and it would save the staff, and other people waiting, from listening to a bunch of whining. So my advice, do not expect to be out in less than an hour even if you have an appointment. Plan at least an 4 hour block of free time if you are a walk in. Make an appointment online if any way possible--it was not possible for me. You cannot make an appointment at the window. Bring a book, Ipod, ipad loaded with games, movies etc. Use headphones! Coffee is served but I would bring coffee or some kind of refreshment. Turn off your ringer and go outside to talk on your cell phone. Mainly understand you will have to wait--deal with it. Do not ask people how long they have been there. Don't go to the window over and over wanting to know when your turn is or why somebody else when ahead of you. Definitely do not look at the clipboard with names to see who is in front of you!!! Don't complain over and over about how busy you are, where you have to be and how ridiculous the wait time is. Do not fuss at the staff, they have no control over it--they just work there. And please do not throw a hissy cow fit in the waiting area--it solves nothing. We all hate to wait and have things to do. So grow up, get over yourself and manage your time and attitude. You only make yourself and people around more miserable with incessant whining. read more

Sent here for a new employment opportunity to take a urine test. My GPS got me here from Franklin, TN easily. I had an appointment and got called back in a timely fashion. The experience was quick, professional and simple. I did not have enough to fill the test cup so I was ordered to drink four cups of water and wait in the lobby till I could try again. Now, If I would have got it done the first attempt I would have been in and out of there. But sense my mishap I was there for about an hour and a half. Others around me had waited almost two hours. The seating is very limited, there was a large number of people standing inside and outside. The facility should be a little cleaner and more comfortable if they expect many busy times like I experienced. Advice: Make an appointment. More Advice: Drink a bottle of water on your way there. As a result the bill didn't get paid and now they want my daughter to day $500.00 and if he doesn't pay they will add substantial penalties. So, they messed up and now they sent her bill to collections and they expect my daughter to pay for their mistakes. read more

Came for a simple blood test. My doctor does not have a lab, so I have to drive 30 mins to draw blood - fun. Today I did not have to wait and the lab tech could not have been nicer. Other times I have waited for 45 minutes and more - then dealt with employees who don't know a test tube from a pee cup - so it can vary greatly. Why come here? Because it is the only independent lab in the city that is in-network for Blue Cross. read more

First time visiting a LabCorp for a routine biometric screening. Made an early appointment in hopes that I would be in and out. I'm not sure if I got lucky since the day I went it happened to be snowing, but I was in and out in less than 15 min. The woman who checked me in and did the screening was very nice. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the entrance is very hard to find, even with following all the signage they have I parked and still had to walk quite a bit of ways around the building to find the proper entrance. read more

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! I made my appointment at the later time about two days before my appointment. I arrived at the place and it is actually all around the back side. So I just parked and walked around the whole building almost. Lol I arrived seeing the whole room seated. I quickly signed in and let the women know that I had an appointment at 4:15pm. The blonde woman said if I was not seen by 4:15pm to just walk up to the window. I went to the back and just stood there. They have a tv and some magazines. People like to stare. Once she got up, I sat. I was on my phone until it was 4:16pm. I walked up to the window. Just stood there. Looking around. Then the blonde woman asked me to come. The door is locked, btw. So you have to wait until they open it from the other side. As I walked in, you can hear someone PUNK saying,"That's not right." I felt bad. But if you look at the sheet when you sign in, there was 3 people who actually mad an appointment out of 50 or 70. Lol Dude should have made an appointment. I'm just doing this drug test to get into nursing school. So anyways, I walked in, quickly did everything FAST. I washed my hands. The soap is actually on the left side BEFORE you go in to wash your hands. Weird. Then I gave my cup to the blonde woman. I was NOT allowed to wash my hands until I signed. Then I washed my hands, grabbed my license and paper and quickly left. I heard from a friend that you could wait 4 HOURS until you are seen. So MAKE AN APOOINTMENT. Lol I got out by 4:27pm. understaffed and horribly mismanaged I made an appointment for 11:15 I work nights was coming from work and wanted to ensure I'd get home to get some sleep before I had to go back. It made no difference it was 12:15 before anyone was at the front desk long enough for me to inform them I had an appointment and hour earlier to which they replied "you had an appointment?" I have been here twice and it is always packed- people waiting in line to ask someone a question, no one to check people in, and only 2-3 people drawing blood and handling drug testing. Needed and out of town blood test for my doctor while traveling, my insurance company told me to look for a Lab Corp. Found this one. Many folks in the waiting room, but waited only 10 min. Did not have an appointment, tech was friendly and helpful.1/23/2015 - My doctor got the results as promised on 1/22/2015 - I signed up to see the results on their web site. Results still not posted on 1/23. I have sent through their web site 3 separate requests, no response to any of them! Lowered my rating to 3 stars from 5 stars for their lousy support. Ok- so if you don't have an appointment you could be here for hours on end. RIDICULOUS. This is the second time I have been here for pre employment and I will tell you- be prepared TO wait. Lobby is small and cannot accommodate the foot traffic, seats are uncomfortable. They do not honor appointments or even bother to listen or check to see if you have one. I'm from out of town and had to have some lab work done. The wait wasn't too bad, but had the test done on Monday and was told my Dr would receive within 24-48 hours. Called my Dr on Thursday and they had not received anything. Called Lab Corp on Friday, customer service had my results and said they would fax to my Dr. If I would not have called my Dr would probably never have received the results. read more

This company has lost their mind. I had a drug screening with my doctor and LabCorps was used. The first result came back as "invalid." A 2nd test was given the next month. That test came back with expected results. Nonetheless, LabCorps expected me to pay for their invalid results. Two years later and they're still expectiing payment. read more
