[[HIGHLIGHT]]Doctor Bloom kept asking me questions and talked over me every time I tried to give an answer. He didn't take my concerns seriously.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finally had to tell him that I graduated from Vanderbilt and this is not normal diarrhea and the cramping is not the type of pain that I am used to when I do have diarrhea. I asked if they did testing for cyclosporiasis and he said he did not know what it was. I paid 130 dollars for him to try and scoot me out of the door with some imodium before ever listening to what issues I had, what food I had eaten or anything. I had to tell him that when I had appendicitis the cramping was far worse than this but this cramping pain is definitely not something I experience regularly. He brushed it off and said I should try the health department. He wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I won't take them until I can get tested for the parasite. read more

I travel quite a bit for work and this location is close to one of the areas I work in. I've come to this location a few times and it has always been very clean, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the providers have went above and beyond, and the front desk has always been extremely friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A few years ago we left early while on vacation due to a really bad staph infection, when we arrived back to TN this location was open so instead of going to the ER, I had my husband bring me here because they had treated me a hand full of time before and I just trusted them. To this day I will still drive to this location, even if it is out of the way because their teams are very knowledgeable and they are always positive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is neither urgent nor do they care about you as the name might suggest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We waited 3 days for the throat culture results because my brother was in immense pain, and we needed antibiotics ASAP. The results came back negative, and when we asked for the nurse to take a look at his throat again, all she did was say "gross" and dismissed us. We went to Vanderbilt the very next day, and my brother's tests came back positive for Strep, but the infection had become so bad, we went to the ER. Terrible service. Even I could have given a better diagnosis and I have a computer science degree. read more

Staff was kind when we checked in. I had made an appointment online and was disappointed when the appointment wasn't honored and we had to wait another twenty or more minutes. The NP, Lauren, made up for it. She was kind and caring and the nurse/ tech that checked vitals was super sweet too. (didn't catch her name) The most impressive part was I called the next day and was immediately connected to the NP, Lauren. This was very efficient and so helpful and not always the case with quick care. After this call, we were cared for immediately upon receiving test results. Thank you! Bathroom didn't seem clean but the lobby is beautiful. read more

I've been to this clinic a couple of times because I wanted to give them a fair shot but I honestly cannot recommend this place to anyone. The first time I went in, I got a PCR COVID-19 test that was lost and I never received the results. I had to call and ask about it after 5 days because they weren't going to follow up on their own. I went in again today for symptoms of a minor concussion. I was given a COVID-19 test and told to continue taking OTC ibuprofen for the migraine even though I already told them ibuprofen didn't help. My room was right outside the nurse station and I heard multiple workers complaining about not having time for lunch and being mad at a coworker who didn't show up. Very unprofessional and not good to hear as the patient - I think they were trying to rush me out so they could get a lunch. Anyways, it was a huge waste of time and $50 and I'm still in a lot of pain. read more

I was just refused medical treatment because I have Medicaid. Offering to pay full-price out of pocket made no difference. The receptionist said that because she "knows" I have Medicaid they couldn't see me because it would be "fraudulent." So if you're in an emergency situation and have Medicaid, do not show them your card or they will refuse to give you medical treatment. I could have cried I was so mortified. My throat is swollen and white, I most certainly have some sort of infection and I need antibiotics. Waiting all night to be seen the next morning and then being turned away felt dehumanizing. This urgent care sucks. No other way to put it. Last time I came here they never called me back about my test results though I called them many times. This time I come in with a sinus infection (which I get multiple times every spring and fall) I always come to urgent care for antibiotics or a steroid shot which does wonders for me but they told me they won't do a damn thing for me. So not only did I waste an hour here but I spent 50$ for them to tell me to take Advil. Must be Tennessee this state sucks in about every way possible. In Missouri they would never ever tell me to suffer for another 10 days and come back. Never. Coming. Back. Here. Waste of money and time. read more

i couldn't give anything lower than this for rating. I visited the location in Brentwood. I made a prior appointment as I was told the wait time will be around 45 minutes. They have a crappie software which did not even register appointment but sent me confirmation. when I arrived at the office, I was told they don't see the appointment and made me wait. They can do nothing about it. While I understand glitch can happen, I did not like the receptionist for the way she just shrugged of the incident. She did not have any respect towards my time. However, I loved the nurse and the doctor. They made it so quick and easy on us that I would recommend them to anyone. For Doctor and nurse a 5 star, receptionist 1 star. they use your credit card information and pay themselves without you receiving a bill or you initiating the payment. more shady practices at this facility. spent an hour and a half here waiting - less than ten minutes talking with the provider and they submitted to insurance fees for a +45 minute office visit. stay away. had to take patient to pcp that same week because patient was worse off. questionable ethics and policies. read more

I was terribly sick Jan 1. I needed to go to a doctor 3 days earlier but was literally to sick to get to one. The experience at this clinic was terrible. First, I've since learned the front desk messed up my insurance declaring the wrong one my primary. Have several claims to get straight. The nurse who took me back was so rude. As sick as I was, I was being pleasant. She literally asked me the same questions 3 times about some medication I'm on after I had stated why when listing. Then when she returned she asked which tests the dr ordered. I explained hadn't seen the doc. Her reply was "so you are declining any tests". I answered I'll take any and all I just need help. The doctor was very nice but totally misdiagnosed me. He had me tested for flu (which I've been charged for twice) and said I had an URI. I learned the next day with one of my regular doctors I had a bad case of Covid and Care Climic had not even tested me. I had told them I home tested couple of days earlier and was negative but they obviously should have retested. My doc called in paxlovid but by that time it was getting too late to help. A waste of time and money when I was very very sick. read more

Due to the hours and convenience of location, I chose this facility to get COVID-19 tested. The visit was treated like a normal office visit including co-pay and all. After a visit by the Physician's Assistant (Matthew Young), a staff member reentered the room with a viral culture swab. The staff member appeared to be the Office Manager (OM) on duty that day, not a CNA, LPN, or RN. She opened the culture and informed me that I'D BE PERFORMING MY OWN COVID-19 test. She told me "insert the swab in both nostrils, rotate 4 times, and I'll be right outside the door when you're done." The next day, I received notification on the patient portal that my results had returned. I called and was told by another OM that I was "negative for coronavirus and you have not been exposed". She attempted to explain how "coronavirus antibody" testing works, providing inaccurate information she later tried correcting with a return call to me. For those of you who are in the medical field, you know there are many problems with this entire encounter from the visit to my calls, but the biggest problems: 1. How many unmonitored patients perform the test incorrectly, yielding false negatives? 2. The OM gave utterly false medical information and is not qualified to interpret lab results. Overall, more explanation of the test is needed, if for whatever reason a qualified staff member cannot perform the test, at least monitor the patient self-testing especially since this visit was treated like a normal office/professional medical visit, and last, the use of OMs is simply a misuse of service. In my opinion, PUC is more interested in money than safe, quality care, placing the greater Nadhville community at risk. read more

I had an amazing experience at this urgent care! I came in for a breast exam because I found a lump that was a little concerning. I couldn't get an appointment at a gynecologist until more than a month out. Came in and was called back within 15 minutes. My doctor was friendly and didn't dismiss any of my concerns! This place is VERY clean which is why i think it has so many 5 star reviews... not alot of urgent cares look as good as this one. That being said, when i go to the doctors office Im looking for stellar care and anything else is just extra and this place has left me nothing but disappointed and frustrated. The first time I had a rash that was covering about 70% of my body and was very uncomfortable. The Dr. looked at me for about 3 minutes and she said something along the lines of "well Im not sure what this is.. but since its not oozing or getting infected then Im gonna say just watch it and if it gets worse then come back". Thats it?! Thats all you're going to do about this mystery rash? I ended up going to a functional medicine doctor who knew exactly what it was and I was able to get rid of it quickly. The second time I went was for extreme lower back pain. I could barely walk. The Dr didn't know what it was so he tested me for a kidney infection.. I tested negative for all infections but he prescribed me a antibiotic anyway. He said "well, maybe you're a unicorn and its a false negative". Im sorry.. What medical school did you go to? Surely not one that taught you to prescribe medicine for a something the patient does not have. I had a gut feeling that I shouldnt take this antibiotic and RUIN all of the healthy bacteria in my gut for no good reason, so I did not take it. I went to a chiropractor for a second opinion, he took an x-ray, found the problem, did an adjustment on me and my pain was GONE. The next two times were just as disappointing. More pill pushing and absolutely no energy spent on finding the root cause. So if you're looking for doctors who push prescriptions and who don't look for the root cause of your illness then you should go here. But if you want to see a doctor who will take the time to properly address your concerns, I would go somewhere else. read more

Very misleading; they need to educate their front desk. I made it clear when I called that I needed a blood draw in which I had the order from my doctor. Yes, they can. Checked on insurance and the lab insurance all accepted and made an appointment. Imagine my surprise when I show up and they want a full exam appointment. No, I have a doctor I like thank you very much. I wasn't going to go through their circus to charge me and my insurance for a simple tech appointment. I left and lost time off from work and hope that they don't charge. I may go back if I need their urgent care, but not for anything else. read more

I have been to this location numerous times over the years... But my visit on Friday was less than stellar. The lady doctor, looked in my mouth and tested me for strep, it was negative so they gave me a steroid shot to take down the swelling. All which was fine. But she did not look at my ears after I told her I had fluid in them, she also didn't listen to my lungs (Isn't that standard protocol for anyone sick?), she just sent me on my way. Again, disappointing to say the least. She did not give me any antibiotics for my ears which I needed. I normally would highly recommend this... But not if she is there. Broke my foot. Got there at 11:20 Saturday morning according to maps history, parked in the wrong spot, hobbled to the right spot which probably took 10 minutes, walked in, had 4 xrays at 11 minutes in and still had not finished filling out the new patient paperwork. Doctor in at 20 minutes, gave an exam of more than just my foot as when you take a 7-stair tumble evidently that usually breaks people more than me. Shot of some anti inflammatory, prescription for a different anti inflamitory called in to pharmacy, stylish boot and crutches, CD with x rays that I can play with, and out at 12:15. Bam. Don't think there was more than two minutes where I didn't have someone there doing something. read more

Went there for some back pain and was seen very quickly by the doctor. The check in process was quick escape only since I filled in most of the forms online and the waiting area was very comfortable looking. Snacks, water, TV and a comfortable chair made the short wait a breeze. read more

We didn't have to wait long to be taken back and were quickly seen by Dr Anderson. He was awesome. He took his time and we never felt rushed. He was very thorough! the cough is much better. My experiences at this location have been very good. I visited several times for COVID tests this winter and they were always professional and quick, with a gracious staff and good service. They did mess up several billing mistakes regarding insurance, but they always fixed the issue promptly when I called. Thus, I won't be taking any stars off my review. read more

Short version- easy, quick, clean walk-in clinic where you actually see a DOCTOR not an NP. I received good care here and would recommend. This was my first time coming to PUC clinic and I had a great experience. Everyone at the front desk very nice and friendly. Their waiting room was very cozy, well decorated, clean and classy. I'd suddenly developed back pain which progressively worsened throughout the day. It was a Friday evening and not many other places (aside from the ER) were open so I anticipated having to wait a decent amount of time. This was not the case and I was pleasantly surprised to be called back within about 10 minutes of filling out all the new patient paperwork. The doctor was nice and knowledgable which made me feel comfortable. The whole visit from check in to check out took less than an hour! Next time I need urgent care I will definitely come back to physicians urgent care. read more

I was extremely impressed by Physicians Urgent Care. - clinic is clean, nicely decorated, a very nice ambiance and they even have snacks and drinks available. - the receptionist (Monica) was very pleasant and kind, greeting me right when I walked in. - My nurse, Nelson, was polite and professional. - My provider, Mark totally put me at ease. He really listened and seemed concerned and was very thorough in the tests he ordered. I felt absolutely confident I was getting excellent care, which I don't always feel at other urgent care facilities. Overall excellent service. I would highly recommend this place. My family and I have been patients of the original PUC since 2012. We are always in and out after a thorough visit from the physicians-who are always personable and have great bedside manor. The staff is great with my children and make me feel comfortable with them in their care. My boys especially love the tv's in the rooms that help get their minds off any anxiety. They actually enjoy going in. It's nice to have somewhere to go after hours. I'd rather pay Urgent care costs than get a huge bill from the ER. read more

The facility beautiful and clean, but I had a very poor experience - maybe because I am college student who went without a parent and this seems like a very family/child-oriented place. I waited for over an hour to be seen, waited another hour to get X-rays, and waited ANOTHER hour to have my foot wrapped. WRAPPED. I have severe pain, and as a student who walks to and from class on a college campus, the wrap does absolutely nothing to ease the pain. The Dr. said she didn't see a fracture on the X-rays, but honestly I am hoping it comes back from radiology with something more then just "tendonitis" because I cannot believe I was given such an unclear diagnosis and walked away in a lot of pain.
