I got to my appointment pretty late and right before they closed. I had my two boys with me and to my surprise they actually let me sign in. My two sons under 4 both had labs to be drawn my oldest is a drama queen crying the all nine yards. The staff was wonderful. One lady held him while I held my other son getting his labs drawn. The showered them with stickers and love ;) It was a great experience for what it was! Update: I went for labs myself the tech was so rude and no personality whatsoever. I don't know why the bad reviews other than maybe someone was having a bad day. I've always had great service here. In fact, I just got done having blood drawn a bit ago. Sharkira was the lovely receptionist who couldn't have been nicer! She and I engaged in fun conversation and while I was sitting awaiting my turn after a very short wait, she called me to say that there was an issue finding one of the tests I needed and about 5 minuets later, I was called in. Ty, the phlebotomist was also wonderful! A true professional and a gentleman. Always remember, it pays to be nice to others as kindness is contagious and who wants to help someone coming to them in any type of business confrontational and nasty? I had a 8;15am appointment. I always get the earliest possibly appointment. They are always running late even though they are barely an hour into their day. I didn't get seen until 9:18. And this is at the facility that only takes appointments. I can only imagine what the walk in locations experience. It's not the first tim I've had to wait that long. This time tho, the bathroom door was broken. Anyone could have peaked through the hole left by joy having an handle. If I could give this ZERO stars I would. The woman at the front is extremely rude. I came earlier than my appointment time, and i still had to wait nearly 40min after my appointment. They were even taking people without appointments! When I asked the woman why that was, she mumbled something under her breath I couldn't even understand. Very poor customer service - looks like their employees are forced to work there and are very unpleasant with the environment they are in. I really feel for them but it's the reality of this type of conventional medicine establishments. All employees look very tense and act accordingly, not a single smile on any face, feels like you walk into some sort of correctional facility. There's nothing else I can add. read more

If I could give this place negative 100 stars I would!! Unfortunately I had to go to labcorp because that's where my insurance company told me I had to go. I totally agree with every review written. I'd like to add that while I was there they had a exterminator spraying for bugs with a building full of people, nothing like toxic spray while your sitting waiting for a blood test ! I asked the manager how she felt about all the negative comments on this site and she said she doesn't read it cause she doesn't care. What is the purpose of an appointment? The Labcorp staff needs to ask themselves this question. I am writing this as I continue waiting for my 830am appt...it is approaching 1030am. There are people that have fallen asleep waiting. This seems to be a poorly run facility with little guidance or means to correct a negative situation. I had to come here for a drug screening for an employer. I wasn't expecting to have a great experience at a place like this, but this was pretty bad. All of the reviewers before me are spot-on. The wait is long, even with an appointment. They call back two people at a time. The two before me came out 10 minutes before my appointment, and then I didn't get called back until 25 minutes after my appointment. On top of that, the person handling the screening told me to hold onto my confirmation papers until she called me back. After she called me back, I handed them to her and she got upset and asked me why I didn't give them to her sooner. I reminder her of our conversation, and she said continued yelling. She even reiterated that she told me to hand the papers to her when she called me back, then realized her mistake and tried changing her story to something that didn't even make sense. She complained that it will take her 5 whole minutes to enter the information. She walked to the computer, and was finished less than 30 seconds later. She argued to cover her mistake to try and save herself 30 seconds of work. How lazy of her! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you have a choice. read more

Where to begin. Waiting is unbelievable. Front desk people are neither friendly or reasonable or informative. I have arrived early. They didn't allowed me to sign in. I have three try's just to sign in. Then the computer was down. All people disappeared from the window. At this point they were 1 hour behind schedule. Patience started being angry. Few left fuming. This is the 2nd worst lab I had ever gone to (next the Oakland Park one). They also have lost my specimens (stool) for the last time. My doctor and I have decided to use an alternate lab even if I have to cash pay for them. They are costing my insurance a bundle due to their mistakes. And I'm stuck waiting yet another month while labs are redone to find out if Ive got a serious problem (liver cancer) or one that could be solved easily by medication. This is the most unprofessional staff Ive ever had to deal with . I was so excited to make a last minute appointment here for some blood work. I had been fasting so I was hoping to get in and out of there in the late morning but I had no such luck. The waiting room was filled when I arrived and everyone had been waiting 30 minutes-1.5 hours later than their appointment time for their procedure. I waited 1.5 hours past my appointment time. Luckily the person who drew my blood was very nice and did a good job. I do have to return for another part of my procedure but I will not make an appointment at this location. They don't take walk ins but they are overbooked and they need to have less available appointments online if they cannot handle the workload. The person who drew my blood said they were short staffed all morning until she came in from the Boca location so maybe it was just a one-off situation but based on other reviewers, it looks like this is a common issue. I don't mind a wait, but an hour and a half is a little excessive. read more

I'm glad I decided to make an appointment at this location despite the bad reviews. I just hoped for the best. There were only 2 people in the waiting room when I got there, so I was hopeful my wait wouldn't be long. There are scanners where you check in using your ID, which I did. I then went to the counter anyway to see if there was anything else I needed to do. The woman at the desk acknowledged me right away. We took care of the paperwork, I waited maybe 10 minutes, & I was called back for the blood work. The young woman who took my blood was very professional & pleasant. My appointment was 11:30 & I was out of there by noon. I don't think it gets any better than that. read more

I cannot say enough good about Lab Corp in Oakland Park, FL. The check-in process is efficient, the front desk staff were nice, the appointment was on time, and my technician Ty was superior. I am a very anxious patient and he took the time to make me feel at ease, was quick and proficient in drawing my blood and made sure I was ok before I left. Unbelieveable!! I walked in at 12:30pm for a 12:45pm appointment. I went to the window to sign in and nobody was around. I had never been to a LabCorp before so I wasn't sure what to do. I could tell by the glazed over look on the 18 people sitting in the lobby that I was in for a long, long visit. After standing around watching people fidgeting for about 30 minutes one person stormed the desk and found someone hiding in the corner, Barbara, to assist her. Barbara is NOT a customer service oriented person. She didn't smile, didn't really even make eye contact. She was busy doing whatever it is she was doing and didn't appear to want to be of any help. After the one customer was overheard by several other people standing around a few more people approached Barbara, me included. All that I can say is that Barbara should be escorted out of the building and fired immediately. I've come to expect bad customer service in South Florida but Barbara is the winner of the loser award. As a busy professional I couldn't wait any longer and left after standing there with no clue as to when I would be invited back to the lab. I cancelled my appointment, as did three other people before me, and left the building. I think I'll try the LabCorp in Boynton Beach based on another Yelpers review. Unfortunately my wellness check up for health insurance suggests LabCorp. Boo!! read more
