I have been a nurse for a long time, and I have to say that my experience at Labcorp has been very disappointing. The staff's unprofessionalism and lack of focus on solving client issues are upsetting to me. When clients are asked if they have the necessary paperwork and respond that they do not, the staff simply say in a rude sort of way, we need paper work! They then proceed to ask for the client's doctor, only to later say that they have the freaken paperwork. If there is an issue with a patient, instead of addressing it professionally, they just say, "Move it over," and walk it out ( lab reqs). I had cortisol levels that needed to be drawn by 9 AM, and I made that clear to them. Unfortunately, my concerns were met with indifference. Numerous customers arrived after me but were seen first, and I'm quite sure not all of them had appointments. One staff member, in particular--a heavyset African American woman with an afro--exhibited the worst attitude I have ever encountered in a lab tech or service representative. She does not seem to enjoy interacting with people, so I'm puzzled as to why she chose this job. It appears that Labcorp is struggling to find qualified staff and is failing to prioritize customer service in what should be a client-focused environment. This situation creates a liability that could have serious consequences. read more

I am waiting in the lobby as a write this. Came 15 minutes early for my appointment to be told people from appointments 45 minutes before had not been seen yet. According to what I heard it's like this every single weekend. The member of staff helping me was kind and apologetic but the other staff member working was INCREDIBLY rude to everyone she was speaking with and she kept cutting me off in my conversation with the other staff member. That staff member basically kept telling everyone that she can't help them and to come back during the week. I've been to a lot of Labcorps in my life but this is by far the worst one. read more

I had to come here to get some blood work drawn after my DR appointment. The people that work here are so rude and have no bedside manner. After I checked in, the person who took my Information told me that my insurance wasn't going to pay for it because my insurance card had my married name and didn't match. I advised her that I hadn't had the chance to change my name yet on my ID. And then she continued to have a poor attitude while putting in my information. She took me back to draw my labs, and felt around continuously like I didn't have veins ( I have a tattooed sleeve)... but I have VERY good veins. I suggested that she use the other arm. She just stuck me and didn't say anything. She also smelled like cigarettes. Also... I'm a nurse..I know what's involved but it's the fact of the matter.. read more

The worst. Rude people -they seem like they hate working here and dislike working with people in general.

Not one nice person working at the front desk. Lady taking blood was somewhat personable but the rest were miserable.

*writing this as I sit in the waiting room* This place is consistently terrible. Each time I come here I hope things have changed and the staff will be friendly. I've never experienced the level of rudeness as I have at this location. For example, an elderly person is unable to use the check in kiosk and the receptionist did not offer to help. Instead told him "that's just the way things are". A stranger in the waiting area had to offer to help him. I can hear the staff speaking rudely about people approaching the check in window as well as walking away. The way they speak to people is unbelievably rude and dismissive. When I say that this is my experience each and every time I'm here is not exaggeration. It's the most convenient location for me but I will never again subject myself to or witness the disgusting behavior of the women who work at this location. The only positive thing I can say about this place is there is plenty of parking. If you're considering this location please don't. The location on Bremo Rd is much nicer in every way possible. It's 2023 and I'm aware the job market is tight but surely there are more capable and better behaved employees than those who work at this location. Adding: I just finished having my blood drawn and the only other positive thing I can say is the woman who drew my blood was an 8/10 as it relates to the actual blood draw itself. read more

Came with my two little babies to get blood work. Waited in the lobby for 40 minutes because all three ladies decided to help one woman who came in after me. My kids were super cranky in the end. They could have easily checked me In on the other computer and had me out of there in 10 minutes but no they decided To be super slow. Also didn't do the best drawing blood either. Overall was super frustrated here will not returning to this location . I've had multiple bad experiences here but today was the last straw. read more

Had to wait 45 minutes with a 2 year old and when I got back I was going to have my phone to keep him distracted and she grabbed the phone from me and told me to put it away. Extremely rude and was the least warm person I have ever met - especially for a place that I heard dealt well with children (which is why we went). Overall a terrible negative experience. read more

I have blood work done every few months, so I know my labs - both good and bad. This is my second fave LabCorp location in RVA - St. Mary's is my top fave just because it is less crowded and there is a Starbucks in the hospital, but the staff at both are awesome. Before going, I HIGHLY recommend you secure an appointment online - this way you won't have to wait (and wait) to be seen and it makes is easy to slip in before/after work. The staff is super friendly and they make giving blood as easy as possible. If you have to get sticked, I recommend you visit LabCorp. Tip: this location is open on Saturdays, but they can be busy, so be sure to book your appt in advance! Cheers! read more

The most rude staff... will never visit this location again (even though most Labcorp locations are not much better, but this one is exceptionally poor). this location is not even following Covid restrictions. They should be closed down because they are so rude and unprofessional. I am surviving cancer so I have to be really careful. A child with a horrible cough...very deep and juicy...was running around screaming. The woman across from her moved. I moved too. The child was still running around. Ive been nowhere for months and months but treatment and surgery. The women at the desk said nothing...NOTHING...I asked the woman to move and distance with her sick child. No answer. I shouldve left but was called back. THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THAT I WAS MEAN. I SAID I WAS STILL IN TREATMENT FOR BREAST CANCER AND GETTING THESE TESTS SO I COULD GET MY FIRST VACCINE. SHE REPLIED HER MOM HAD HAD CANCER (GUESS THAT WAS A SO WHAT) NOT EVERYONE WITH A COUGH HAS COVID SHE SAID. I Dont I know that? Please! My husband has a lung illness for petes sake. Close down this place or investigate to help protect people like me. Listen to your own greeting on the phone regarding Covid. It's clear and they aren't following it.
