Because of some tech's inflated ego, I experienced multiple sticks and then she kept moving the needle around inside my vein on my right arm (my right is my dominant hand). Extreme pain, bruising, and soreness even days afterwards. Finally, a more experienced tech took over (after all the torture) and went to the other arm. Afterwards, no bruising on my left arm, couldn't even tell where the needle hole was. My right arm looks like I have track marks. Not happy what-so-ever. Next time I will push back, this is ridiculous! Does this company hire brand new tech's so they can practice on patients??? Not good at all! Day of the blood withdrawal pic 1. However it was not needed and I was able to cancel it right from my phone. We chose this location because of their convenient Saturday hours. They have free parking, and a digital touch screen for checking in once you arrive. There is also an option to check in, and leave your phone number so you can wait in your car outside, but there were only 3 of us there so I did stay inside to wait. The wait time was not very long. While waiting I read that there is an option to register through their portal to receive labs directly to the patient. https://cpl.luminatehealth.com I required 5 different labs drawn for this appointment and am not entirely comfortable with needles /-: However, SONYA was friendly, kind, patient and skilled with the needle. I was very comfortable while she changed out the tubes, many tubes! Check-in was easy, the lady was nice and the radiology tech was even nicer. My appointment was at 1:40 but they said to arrive at 1:25. I arrived around 1:20 and I didn't wait long at all. In fact, I was done a little after 1:40. The tech explained everything thoroughly and positioned my hand while we made small talk about the x-ray flower art on the walls. When I checked out I informed the same lady who checked me in that I had a referral to a hand doctor. I handed her my phone so she can clearly get the details and said she can send my results to both my Airrosti doctor and the specialist. She must have done something right because the specialist's office called on Monday to schedule an appointment. I thanked her and went on my way. There was a second lady who didn't seem to be in as chipper a mood, but I made sure to say goodbye and thank you to her, too, and she brightened up. Overall it was a pleasant, quick experience.

So, I haphazardly scheduled a 2pm appointment while trying to leave my house at 145. For once in my time in San Antonio, everyone on Huebner decided to obey the speed limit. Somehow I managed to make it by 201pm. Online scheduling was a breeze and all my info was still in there from that last time I came in with the same symptoms. The front desk staff that checked me in was professional and friendly. She politely asked if she was saying my last name correctly which I appreciated (I've been called many last names in my life). The staff that called me back, I think she said her name was Lye (?), was super nice. She took my symptoms down, took my blood pressure, and explained that COVID is on the rise again since school was back in session. She explained how symptoms are presenting and I knew exactly how I contracted it. Then I was seen by either a PA or NP. He was fast and efficient, but a little difficult to understand. Maybe in my brain fog state, I couldn't follow his fast talking. The sent my prescription to HEB and I was on my way. The facility was quiet, clean, and felt relaxing. I was in and out within 35 minutes. I hope I don't have to come back, but I'm glad to know it's close by if I need it.

I asked how long their entire system has been down and she says 30 minutes. I made my appointment through the patient portal online at 1340 sitting in my in the driveway. It took me 4 minutes to get here and I was in the portal (that doesn't work) the entire time. Just be honest, tell the trust. We love next care but once is enough, twice is too much and poor management

Instead of trying to de-escalate a situation she made things worse. Very poor etiquette. Patients come to healthcare providers for help; not to be attacked. Patients want to be heard. As a provider, you have to learn to have patience. Oh! And her assessment? Complete BS. Exactly 6 minutes and didn't even assess the issue. No Weber test, no tuning fork...nothing. Seriously felt like an absolute waste of time. Do I recommend this place? No, but does it matter? You go where you need to go in case of an emergency. There will ALWAYS be patients. UrgentCares will ALWAYS have customers. I'm here to give you a heads up that if you end up getting put with Sara, be prepared to feel unheard and attacked. Front desk staff & nurses were great. The service is so fast and there's never a wait. I'm always in and out in less than an hour. Staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very clean and welcoming. The NP was AMAZING with my 1 year old. She took her time and made sure that the visit with her didn't traumatize her and tried her best to make it fun so she wouldn't cry. I'm definitely happy with the care I've received here several times and will continue to keep coming back!
