I saw countless patients try to ask for help and numerous phlebotomists just dismissed them and told them to wait their turn. How will they wait their turn without being checked in? The phlebotomists here are exceptionally slow and blame it on poor staffing, even though I counted at least 7 working today. As a former phlebotomist, I have knocked out waiting rooms twice the size with half the staff, so it appears as if understaffing is their go-to excuse. Once they finally call your name, you are greeted by some of the most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered. Do not bother with this clinic. Head over to their Alum Rock location or there is 2 Labcorp clinics near by Quimby. Don't bother wasting your time, especially if you're a walk-in!

I mentioned that I was a little bit squeamish with blood draws, and she did an excellent job of distracting me. I can tell she's very skilled, she drew my blood with little to no poking around for my veins. I had no bruising, soreness or excess bleeding. Most places I've gone to would've left my arm sore for a day or two with bruising, but not here. I was back to using my arm normally within an hour. Nancy took the time to explain to me how to do my stool test at home with very clear instructions to make sure I understood. Amazing patient communication from her. To the people leaving bad reviews because they decided to "walk in" just know that these workers are trying very hard to stay on schedule and they simply cannot just take random people coming in, otherwise, the entire schedule would be delayed. That's unfair for those who took the time to SET up those appointments, just to have someone who walked in take priority. They just don't run things this way and I highly appreciate that they stick to their scheduling system because it keeps things running smoothly and respects everyone's time. Just from my experience in the lobby, I saw the staff handle people very compassionately when explaining that they couldn't accommodate walk-ins. I especially noticed the blonde staff member being incredibly patient and kind with elderly patients, children, and even people in wheelchairs. The staff here genuinely seems caring and professional. If you plan to come here, I recommend scheduling an appointment on their website. Schedule at least 2 days in advance because the time slots fill up quickly. This particular spot was busy upon arrival but that was expected since appointments are recommended but are not required. Are they seriously THAT busy?? FYI: appointments aren't needed as I initially thought, there were tons of random walk-ins during our visit. Just be prepared for a wait if that's the case. This lab certainly isn't the best looking place and the staff in the front could use a few courses when it comes to customer service but the 2 gal's [african american] in the back who assisted in the blood draw of my toddler are awesome!! I didn't catch their names but I really appreciated their kindness and patience with my screaming baby. The second visit involved delay to receive a CD, despite the X-ray itself took less than 10 minutes. Today (4/22/2026), although there was a larger crowd, which I understand the process was poorly managed. The technician saw me within about 10 minutes, and the exam itself was quick. However, I then waited 45+ minutes for my CD, only to stand in line and be told it had been overlooked and they did not process it. This reflects a lack of organization and attention to detail. While the technical staff performs well, the overall coordination and service quality need improvement. Retraining and better workflow management are clearly needed.
