I came here twice for bloodwork within the same month and both times got it done within 30 minutes. Pro Tip: Book an appointment, preferably for the first slots in the morning, as the crowd is less. I did see a lot of walk-ins come in, which made the place look crowded; however, if you have an appointment, you do get priority. Once you enter the place, check in at the kiosk, and then the lady at the reception will call your name to process your information, following which you'll be called for the test. The technicians can be a hit or miss. Some are gentle and take care, while others don't. Overall not my favorite place to be at, but not the worst experience either. read more

Some of the staff members here are extremely rude. I came here for an employment drug screening and witnessed an MA angrily yelling at a couple who couldnt speak english. I understand it can be frustrating to deal with patients when a language barrier is involved, but frankly if you are driven to loudly yelling at a couple (with the door of the examination room OPEN), I think you fundamentally do not belong in the medical field. The way she treated them was rude, disrespectful and frankly racist. The couple maintained their composure and treated the MA with respect during the entire interaction. The couple tried to get the MA to use a translation app on their phone, which she repeatedly ignored at first. Eventually she did use the translation app with visibale irritation and lots of eye rolling. If I were in managment at this clinic I would be honestly ashamed of my employee's conduct and lack of basic human decency. Also repeatedly yelling something in a louder and angrier voice does not make it any easier for a non-english speaker to understand you. I would not reccomend going to this LabCorp location if you have any choice in the matter. read more

The staff here were very nice! I had to get urine drug test for new job. I walked-in at 8am on week day and there was no wait. Obviously if you come during ur lunch break or after work there will be a wait when everyone wants to go. I actually wouldn't make an appt because they can be off schedule. I wish I hadn't gone pee in the morning because you really have to fill the whole cup. And don't drink a lot beforehand because that can dilute the test. I had to take a pre-employment drug test within 48hrs of offer acceptance. but the earliest available appt at any site was 3 weeks out and "no walk in for drug test"! had to call the recruiter several times to extend the deadline (and my work start date). and on the day of the appt I get a call that the site has. computer problems so I should go to the nearest other 2 sites and "they will take care of you. sorry for the inconvenience". So I rush and I arrive at the alternate site and they know nothing about this "diverted customer situation" so instead of honoring the appt, was treated as a walk in with 2hr wait!!! absolutely ridiculous and awful service. it is clear they have a captive audience of corporate customers and complaints like this is ignored and do absolutely minimum and take their merry time to clear the queue. Extremely dissatisfied with the experience here. The lab staff was great but the receptionists here are not customer service oriented at all. I understand some patients can be difficult so the receptionists may get frustrated and treat them with attitude however I patiently waited in line and when it was my turn I stepped up to the counter, the receptionist with glasses stared at me and said, "what?" With such attitude. I have never experienced such behavior like this. No hello how can I help you? Just a straight up "what." Next, she tells me to read off my registration number and I read 2 numbers and she cut me off yelled at me saying that's not the one and tell me to go find it with no directions. Today i had routine lab work order(s) by my doctor went in and asked a question the ladies that work there that moment i felt so ashamed, disappointed and uncertainty how my day went there it was really hard to even to feel safe at a professional establishment but those were working that day need to be terminated immediately. I was able to make an appointment for the next business day online on their website. I used the check-in function online to wait in my car, and almost immediately received a text saying that a technician was ready to see me. There was a number of people waiting when I walked in on a Friday afternoon. There is a TV that shows the status of the waitlist, and I was pleased to see my name at the top of the list! I sat down and waited a few minutes before I was called to check in with the front desk with my ID and paperwork. After that, I waited a few more minutes before proceeding to complete my test. I was able to complete my test and be in and out in about 30 minutes. I am very pleased with this Labcorp location compared to the other places I have been in the past. I do not know what your experience might be if you are a walk-in, but I would highly recommend you to make an appointment. read more

I was here at few days ago and witness her lack of professionalism and no customer service skills at all as I witness how she treated an elder man that did not have an appointment. I never thought I'd give 5 stars to a LabCorp, but dang. 7 minutes. Upon arrival, that's all it took for me to check in at the self-service kiosk, have the staff scan my paperwork and insurance card, have my blood drawn, and be done and out the door. That's less time than how long I spend just waiting in the lobby at the LabCorp location in Mountain View! Of course, it helped that I had an 8am appointment and that there was nobody waiting when I arrived. But two people arrived when I was done, so it seems like foot traffic is not completely down due to COVID. And unlike at the Mountain View location, having two staff members here means less of a wait for everyone. The person drawing my blood was quick yet gentle and I barely felt any pain. Definitely one of the more pleasant blood draws that I've had. And I've had a lot. If only all my medical visits were this easy! read more

Once we were away from the lobby I broke down and had my first panic attack. We came back to our favorite labcorp location and Vanessa was so great with my girl. She made it fun calling the needle a butterfly and letting her pick her color of bandage. So I show up the next day, the first thing i see, at least 5-7 signs through out the tiny place saying DRUG TEST BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. So when I spoke to the person at the desk, said it's by appointment only. & I explained to them that when I called there was no requirement for appointment, & their answer was at this location is required. I should of chose a walk in location. I chose this place bc it was on the list that gave me. So after arguing about how the system on the phone said no appointment required. They just didn't know what to say. Now my new job is at risk because their next appointment it's a week from now. This here really bothered me & understanding person but the way these people want to the people that come in is unreal. If you are getting drug tested for a job. Stay away from here. This place could take a few tips from the DMV on pleasant customer interaction. While I was waiting for my drug test, a polite and deferential customer with a strong European accent of some sort came into the office and had trouble using the automated check-in kiosk. The staff person sitting at the desk barked orders at the customer, and only after a few minutes did she stand up, walk over, and show him what he was doing wrong, all but rolling her eyes at his stupidity. I did manage to get my drug test, along with a heap of attitude. Overall the staff seems to be competent but miserable. I'd give zero stars if I could. I came here twice in two weeks for pre-employment drug screening with both times coming back INVALID, with no explanation from the medical examiner besides "someone must have tampered with the sample," and i did not do it. No explanation as to how this could happen to me, let alone TWICE. I have done pre-employment drug screenings at other Labcorp locations previously and have had no problems. Surely enough I now have to take the urine test for a third time and I will be going to a different lab - one that isn't suspicious. read more

This labcorp location in Sunnyvale did the wrong test which was NOT what my doctor ordered. As a result, I had to come in two more times to pick up and drop of the correct test. Here's the worst part, Labcorp sent two bills to my insurance company so I ended up having to pay twice the amount: the first time for the wrong test they did and the second time for the correct test. Labcorp refused to write off their incorrect test! Any normal human being with a common sense would have written off the incorrect test done because it was Labcorp's own fault which they did fully admit. Yet they are so greedy they would still bill my insurance and charge me twice. Unbelievable how dysfunctional this location and their billing department is! Conclusion: If you want to waste your time, deal with the billing mess and pay more than what you should have been charged for, then go to this lab. read more

I haven't been recently but seeing the comments about lack of hygiene reflect my last experience a few years ago. PLUS I'm a hard draw because my veins collapse. I demanded a butterfly with a small gauge, because without that it's not happening. And apparently they only get a few of those so they always whine about using it at any labcorp. Maybe its a way to keep the cost down, but it's also a way to drive away your customer. But in this office I specifically told them NOT to jam the needle in and out if blood isn't flowing because it will just give me huge bruises and ensure no blood draw at all will be possible. Of course first thing that happens, no blood flows and he starts jabbing in and out. I scream in pain and he acts like I'm overdramatic. I have a collagen disease and my veins and all tissue are super fragile. So beyond disregarding specific advise the guy was a jerk about it after he injured me. And the bruising was immense of course. I've been to a bunch of labcorp as well as the competitors, and it's all kind of the same so for years I had PTSD every time I tried to get blood drawn, and still fear it to some degree. Stanford can do syringe draws, it's unclear why they aren't trained to. So though it's inconvenient, I drive further to get a blood draw. It sounds like maybe this dude no longer works there, one hopes with covid they have since improved their hygiene. But it always seemed pretty gross. read more

I was required to perform drug screening/testing as a part of routine employment checks. Their check in process is actually fairly straightforward and efficient. Also I like that they allow you to schedule appointments online as well as come in for drop in appointments. That's where the quality of the front office and personnel ends. I was brought back to the testing area as routine. Since it's drug testing, there are particular about a lot of things (emptying pockets, etc) to help ensure the validity of the tests. I was told to hang my jacket and place wallet/keys/phone into a lock box. Then I was given instructions on how to fill the cup and they marked it with a red line. You are not allowed to use the sink while in the bathroom (this is important below). I was able to get mostly to the red line and toward the end of the urine stream I realized I didn't quite have enough urine. As such, i gave a squeeze and got some out of the cup onto my hands (ugh, I can't believe I just pissed on myself). So I get some paper towel to open the door handle and take the sample out. I let the guy know and move to wash my hands at another sink, he says I'm not allowed to do that until I go through a procedure check (I have to watch him pour the urine and seal the sample). This is pretty standard stuff, so no big deal. Then he asks me to sign paperwork. I started to walk to another sink to wash my hands which had a small amount of urine on them and he says I need to stop otherwise "I've refused the test and it's now invalid". I clarify with him that I will be touching the pen with urine on my hands, he said not to worry (presumably since they will wipe the pen). After going through several more steps, I am able to wash my hands. I do so, and am instructed to now collect my things. Now this is the part that gets unusual/confusing to me. I collect my belongings and let him know that there's still urine on the pen that he had me use. Urine is usually sterile (unless you have a UTI), but still ... I recommended that he wipe it down. He actually said "it's ok, we've got gloves and we're safe". I said it's not for YOUR safety, it's for the next person who's now touching the pen with piss on it. He had no comment but went to get the next person for testing. He also didn't change his gloves between people. It's for this reason I think they deserve a low rating. I am surprised that a testing facility has such sloppy sanitary procedures. Even after pointing out the deficiency, the person seemed ambivalent to the issue. Seems like this could be a good opportunity to help train and educate the staff on better and more meticulous specimen handling procedures. Anyhow, I thought I would pass this on in the hopes that anyone using this facility understands that they do not as a matter of routine follow minimum standards for handling. This is certainly more acutely important given the recent infection and pandemic concerns, etc. Good luck peeps and I hope the review helps! read more

Absolutely terrible place (El Camino, Sunnyvale). Hygiene is very questionable, the keyboard is greasy and disgusting - the very same keyboard they touch with their gloves immediately before and after handling your skin and blood samples. They spent 10 min drawing blood out of my poor toddler who didn't make a single peep. As a result, they called the next (!) day- "sorry, there was not enough blood and your test results can not be ready". These tests had to be made asap... The bottles with sanitizers were empty, and I didn't witness them washing their hands either. Yes, these are hard times, but somehow even in cafes and coffee houses, they managed to stock up sanitizers for their clients just fine. My child had to go through tremendous stress, was exposed to significant health risks - and all for nothing. I am beyond devastated. read more

I needed a new hire drug screening for my employers. I made an online appointment and came in early. The check in person said I was early and they could take me in before my time slot. That was a Plus! I waited a short time when the technician ask that I come in and remove items out of my pockets. All this with a calm voice and excellent manners like a routine customer. The technician stated how much sample they needed for there equipment and I provided a bit more than enough. Technician kindly said "Thank You" and said to gather my items and free to go. We were somewhat worry before coming here due to all the negative reviews in yelp, but we don't have much of a choice because of our insurance policies. To our pleasant surprise, things are pretty smooth! You do need to wait a bit for the paperwork/people in front of you (we arrived at ~7:15am on a weekday, probably waited for around 20-25 minutes before the bloodtest), but the stuff there are very polite and professional. read more
