This Quest Diagnostics Lab was very delayed. Patients were very upset. Patients have been waiting for 30+ minutes past their appointment times. The waiting room was not very comfortable. But there was an outlet if you need to charge a device but there was only ONE. Bring a jacket, it's cold in the waiting room. They required masks but they didn't offer any. The check-in kiosks were not reliable, you need to make sure that your name appears on the TV screen that says who has checked in. I needed to check in multiple times before my name popped up. If you are even 5 minutes late, they will skip you and then you will be considered a walk in. So come on time. They will call your name when they are ready for you. It can be very quiet so pay attention. Overall...I came here because I didn't have a choice. I will check if I have other options in the future. Just be mindful to be on time and don't schedule anything immediately afterwards because it can be very delayed.

One of the BEST ways I keep track of my health (other than weight) is the results of my bloodwork, and absolutely one of the BEST places is QUEST DIAGNOSTICS! I have had the greatest success at the nearby immaculate QUEST DIAGNOSTICS (205 South Drive, Ste G, Mountain ViewCA 94040 USA ;408.202.4085; questdiagnostics.com) as a walk-in. Despite not having an appointment and possibly having an extended wait time, I walked-in and, after signing-in/logging-in (driver's license/insurance cards required to expedite the process), I waited maybe 10 or 15 minutes before hearing fantastic technician MARGIE call my name. I have had many, many blood draws over the past five decades, and maybe two or three went as smoothly as with MARGIE. She is so experienced/knowledgeable about the process, both from the paperwork (bring a hardcopy of your doctor orders, even if it many pages--I personally think it could be winnowed to fewer) and the jabbing. MARGIE was expert in every aspect, especially with her friendly/professional drawtable-side (bedside) manner. My only regret is that whatever remnants of my Tagalog have long since faded from my Subic Bay/Olongapo days & nights of authoritarian/dictator Marcos martial law 45+ years ago. As much as I look forward to returning, I already know that Cebu (and other points further South), MARGIE's area of origin, will be my focus. I highly recommend this specific QUEST DIAGNOSTICS for blood draws, especially if you can have marvelous MARGIE helping you. She/QUEST DIAGNOSTICS definitely have my highly coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

    This location is VERY busy!

First and foremost. This location isn't easy to find if you aren't from the area. The signs on the buildings out front have no number and "quest diagnostics" is written so small under the two other practice names--so, it's easy to bypass... which I did on my first go around. Secondly, there is limited seating because there are soooo many folks here. Found out while I was waiting that they are pretty short staffed (regularly) and they definitely cop an attitude with folks when questioned about wait time. Ive been in a few different quest labs in my day, and I have to say this location is a bit... dingy. Carpet and seating is old... smells a little musky in the waiting area which is unpleasant. But I came here out of convenience, not comfort, so.... Meh. Be advised--no one is in the reception area to answer your questions or check you in. It is far faster to check-in on your phone if you made an online appointment than to check-in on site, so there's that. Also, don't walk-in. They always prefer appointments over walk-ins... so don't be that individual who complains about the walk-in wait time when you know what the outcome is going to be. Staff is moderately friendly--not very conversational... but they sure are quick and efficient. Can't complain there. I was taken back within 8 minutes of my scheduled appointment time and was out the door within an additional 10. Not bad.

Long wait, poor communication on wait time even with a scheduled appointment. Would not recommend unless you have an hour to spare.

I did see a lot of walk-ins come in, which made the place look crowded; however, if you have an appointment, you do get priority. Once you enter the place, check in at the kiosk, and then the lady at the reception will call your name to process your information, following which you'll be called for the test. I understand it can be frustrating to deal with patients when a language barrier is involved, but frankly if you are driven to loudly yelling at a couple (with the door of the examination room OPEN), I think you fundamentally do not belong in the medical field. The way she treated them was rude, disrespectful and frankly racist. The couple maintained their composure and treated the MA with respect during the entire interaction. The couple tried to get the MA to use a translation app on their phone, which she repeatedly ignored at first. Eventually she did use the translation app with visibale irritation and lots of eye rolling. If I were in managment at this clinic I would be honestly ashamed of my employee's conduct and lack of basic human decency. Also repeatedly yelling something in a louder and angrier voice does not make it any easier for a non-english speaker to understand you. I would not reccomend going to this LabCorp location if you have any choice in the matter.

The waiting room is spacious. It seems pretty busy and had to wait in line to be checked-in. After you are brought inside, the technician is very nice and double-checked the paperwork. The imaging process is good and technician is nice. One of them even caught a minor paperwork issue and went back to the front desk to have it corrected. For the front desk, service quality isn't consistent and depends on who you get. Vianey is very helpful and knowledgeable. I asked for the X-ray report to be mailed to me and she was able to help me with that. However, when I came another time for MRI and asked for the MRI report to be mailed to me, another lady told me they no longer do it and told me it hasn't been done for a few year. She just tried to brush me off and give me a bunch of BS that they don't do do it anymore. Too bad I didn't get her name (she is Caucasian, has long no light color hair and skinny). Either she's super lazy or she wasn't trained properly. Even if she doesn't know, she could have asked her colleagues. I told her Vianey helped me with such request before and she didn't bother asking others or Vianey at all. Removing a couple stars for her bad attitude. All she has is a pretty face but not helpful.

Inside the blood draw room, there were over 100 vials of patient's blood in sealed test tubes sitting upright in racks. Hmm. I wondered why these weren't in a refrigerator. I also was surprised that there were metal Lab Specimen pick up boxes bolted to the outside wall of the building. It was very hot the day I visited the lab and the sun was beating down on the Lab Specimen pick up boxes. One said LabCorp and the other said Quest. The Phlebotomist was very prompt and came out to get me in the lobby on time. She was very sweet. I did not have a good experience with the draw, however. She used a large gauge needle without a Butterfly. It felt like she hit a nerve, or tendon when she inserted the needle. Right after the draw, I had pain right below where she inserted the needle. When I opened an closed my arm it hurt. This continued for a month. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disease and my tissues are very fragile. I should have asked the Phlebotomist to use a smaller gauge needle, but I had forgotten. I share my experience with a UCSF Phlebotomist who told me that it sounded like the LabCorp Phlebotomist was in training, because it it standard procedure to use a smaller gauge needle on a very thin arm and a butterfly is always used, as well. When I think about the 100 + test tubes of patient's blood sitting on the counter, I wondered, if the way specimens are stored at this lab location, may have something to do with all of my tests be negative. It is food for thought.

She instructed me to make an appointment by phone, so I felt confident about coming in. However, the actual visit was a completely different experience. The testing site was an RV with a bathroom inside, and that's where I had to provide my urine sample. I also needed a hair test, but I was concerned that the technician did not collect the hair properly. Instead of taking a sample close to the scalp, she simply cut off a section of hair from the ends, which ended up causing me to repeat the test later on. I also realized that the same woman who answered the phone was the technician performing the collections, handling the paperwork, and processing payments. She was essentially a one-person operation. I genuinely felt bad for her because she was clearly overwhelmed, and the scheduling and flow of appointments were poorly managed. I had a 10:00 AM appointment but didn't leave until around 1:00 PM. After waiting about an hour, a person who had arrived earlier but hadn't been able to provide a urine sample was allowed to go before me once he was ready. Then another individual who had an earlier appointment but arrived late was also seen before me. By that point, I had already been waiting approximately 2 hours despite arriving early for my scheduled appointment. The woman working there was kind and informative, but the long wait times and disorganized appointment process made for a very disappointing experience. I hope they can improve staffing and scheduling because there is definitely room for a much better customer experience.

I first called the office to make an appointment and she was very rude and seemed irritated when answering my questions. At my appointment, she was very curt and impolite as well. After giving her my urine sample, she instantly said that I would not pass and pretty much accused me of diluting my urine. I only had maybe 20 ounces of water 45 minutes prior to my test. My urine did look more on the clear side but keep in mind my test was at 3 pm in the afternoon. I can understand her assumptions, but it's inappropriate to make any conclusions if you aren't the actual one performing a lab test. I asked her what further actions I can take and why she was saying I would not pass, and again, she was VERY rude and did not want to answer any of my questions. She told me that prior to my drug test, I should not be drinking water for two days and that my body will "naturally" produce enough water for me. She told me that when the lab would receive my urine, they won't even test the sample and automatically mark my sample as diluted. Never have I heard that and if it were true, it should and would've been prefaced prior to my appointment. She rudely rushed me out of her office feeling very unsettled and panicked, as this employment test is very important for my career. I was scrambling around, calling HR and my supervisor if I can order another test. After asking around nurses, doctors, AND employees that actually work at a lab, they told me that what I was told, was absolute bullshit and to not worry. Two days later, my employer received my lab test, in contrast to Dr. Mersedeh Eghdami's beliefs, they were able to test my sample. Save your money and your time, and go somewhere else. My experience here was very terrible and unpleasant from the moment I called to make an appointment. As a medical professional, how can you make a client feel so unsettled walking out?

Whats really great is that I could pay out of the pocket at a great price without worrying about my medical insurance limitability, which most places will not take. On the same day, I drove to his office in the afternoon and met him. I told him about my worries and he was just so understanding, comforting and told me he would do his best to find any issues and would even provide a note to emergency in case he found something that needed immediate attention.
