This weekend I bought a 2018 Ford Raptor from Chris Martin at LaBelle Ford. I had been looking for a specific color and had been in contact with several other local and out of state dealers. I shopped for about 2 weeks sending emails, text, and phone calls. I made a deal with a dealer on labor day weekend and drove over an hour to get there only to be disappointed​ when I got there. They changed the deal and didn't honor what they told me. Fast forward to the following​ weekend I was prepared to drive to Georgia after working out a deal with a dealer there. Last minute I found the Raptor I had been looking for on LaBelle's website. I contacted Chris Martin and explained to him the situation. I sent him pictures and details of my trade. Within an hour we had worked out a deal and I had a buyers order. I had a check sent from my credit union on Friday and drove an hour and a half over to LaBelle on Saturday. When I arrived they already had the truck detailed for me and waiting in the garage. I took it for a quick test drive​​ and went into handle the paperwork. There was some misscomuicaiton about my tags. They ended up having to give me new tags, but didn't pass on the cost to me. They said they'd honor the exact deal we worked out. In and out within an hour. This is how the car buying expirence is supposed to be. They are an honest dealer that knows the value of customer service! Took my vehicle in for recall of brake hose. Was informed after the recall the master seal and brake booster failed. They wanted to charge me over $600 cause they were willing to work with me. However, I had no brake issues when the vehicle went in. I have quote on July 30 that's did brake inspection when the vehicle arrived no mention of brake issues then 3 weeks later I have this major reply. Ron lied about contacting Ford, Ron the director lied about the service being done and how the leak was found. My brakes were fine when it was dropped off on the way home I had no brakes. No where on any documents does it say not to drive the vehicle, it's unsafe to drive or anything. I would really think long and hard. Unless u want to pay for work that they damaged I would not go there. read more

Dishonest- make sure you get everything in writing- use bait and switch emotional duress tactics- every trick hard pressure maneuver and it comes from the General Manager and finance. Make them give you a spot delivery with 72 hour inspection clause. I currently have an vehicle that put no money down- no trade and is sitting 100 miles from there dealership. Waiting for a flatbed to come pick it up and get it out of ny driveway. They break every consumer protection law whenever they please. I belive they have over 100 complaints from Florida motor vehicle regulators. I would not recommend buying a car from them. Customer service is horrible. General manager doesn't return calls. Service manage doesn't either. They claimed to change the oil but it was black 1400 miles later. They ordered a part, set up appt., we drove there and was promised a ride back but never expected in our own vehicle. 6 trips back and forth and the part wasn't installed. Then we were promised a loaner car and that didn't happen either. This was not a cheap truck F150 Lariat 2024, 7000 miles. Stay away! read more

First strike in January 2026: technicians failed to adhere to my Ford service contract. To wit; the manufacturer manual indicates the engine air filter is to be replaced at 30K miles. They did not replace my filter, despite the fact that I specifically mentioned the contractual obligation to the service advisor. I had to drive to a local auto parts store after the parts guy put the filter on their account and I then just replaced it myself. Now...second strike and an even greater display of incompetent service "technicians." A/C blowing hot air on a 2023 vehicle with 34K miles. Labelle Ford had the vehicle for FOUR HOURS and were incapable of repairing the vehicle. I had to call them after three hours for a status update because they didn't have the courtesy to provide an update. As I sat at a local VFW waiting for my car, the bartender and a group of five patrons all warned me about the incompetence of this dealership. So, the reputation of this dealership apparently is well known in LaBelle FL. I went to pick up the vehicle and not one reasonable explanation of a possible reason for the failure nor an approximate timeline on how long to repair from service advisor Jason Robles. He just basically said "we can't fix it unless we keep it for an extended time period, take it somewhere else." I had to call the Ford Corporation and get assistance finding another dealer and I now cannot get my vehicle even looked at for another week at a dealership 30 miles away in Fort Myers. So, bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPT. Seems all they can do is oil changes and tire rotations, no better than Jiffy Lube. Plus, no loaner vehicles? I expected more, but Abe was a good salesperson. I was looking for a hybrid Maverick with a 4k towing package. All over the internet, it says Ford MAKES this vehicle in a 2025 or 2026 model year. But according to the dealer, they don't stock them because anyone wanting such a vehicle would just pay more for an F-150. I DIDN'T EVEN WANT A FORD AT ALL, but was making an exception because I liked the LOOK of the Maverick, and I needed both a boat-towing vehicle and a vehicle with the best gas mileage I could find. The hybrid Maverick with 4k towing was a perfect. Within a 500 mile range, the only 4k hybrid Maverick I could find was at Labelle Ford (LF). I made an appointment for as soon as I got off of work and rushed from Cape Coral to Labelle. LF and I traded a lot of text messages that day (and the next), but it was apparent that they weren't listening to my needs. They kept trying to sell me a gas Maverick. Or a hybrid without the towing package. The hybrid with 4K turned out to be a unicorn because someone had messed up the listing. I went to the lot anyway because they had a used hybrid that had been modified by the prior owner to tow more than 2K. Upon arrival (rather than being texted in my rush to the lot), I was told the used Maverick had just sold. The next day at 10am, I get a message that there's another used Maverick just taken in on trade. What?! You take in a trade, build a sales page for it, and have it drive-ready by 10am but didn't have it at 7pm the night before? Anyway, that one ALSO wasn't a hybrid AND didn't have the 4K package, so it was like they still weren't listening. There were a couple other hiccups, including the offices smelling ENTIRELY of smoke due to people smoking right outside the open office door. But mainly, the misinformation and feeling like I wasn't being listened to regarding my needs left me feeling like I would probably not return. They list one price on the Internet, then tack on thousands of hidden fees for such items as "paint protection", "LoJack theft protection", "refurbishment fees", "Dealer prep, the list goes on and on. Drove 4 hours round trip to buy a used car priced at 11400, price on offer sheet when at dealership was 17700! WTH?! Joke of a salesman said "we aren't CarMax, we are here to make a profit" and "you do understand a lot of people just pay what we ask, no questions asked"! You admit that you are committing dishonest practices and brag about it?! Salesman literally chased me to my vehicle begging for me to just "negotiate" with him. Guess what, my time is more valuable than yours, I am not going to waste it when you start with bad faith, bogus charges. Sad I made the mistake that a small town place might be honest. If you do make the poor choice to deal with them, get your offer in writing before you get there, otherwise be prepared for the Bait & Switch! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PLATTNER FORD OF LABELLE! They'll take your money and show nothing for it!! Story time, so May of 2024 I was looking to order a new Ranger Raptor. I saw that LaBelle Ford (Plattner) had 1 allotment for an order so I decided to bring my business there. We agreed on the specs on the truck and a sale and I gave them my $500.00 deposit to have it ordered. The Salesmen told me it would take about 8 months to have built. The 8 months comes around and I hear nothing from them so I call Stephen the sales manager to check on it, he knows nothing so if it but says he'll call back with an update. Again I hear nothing from them no call backs but life gets busy. Finally 12 months goes by and it's May 2025, surely it must be finished or close to being finished by now it's 4 months past the expected time frame. I call and talk to Stephen the sales manager again, he proceeds to tell me that they use a middle man" to take the orders and have them sent to Ford to be built but guess what, they NEVER SENT THE BUILD INTO FORD!!!!!! So LaBelle Ford took MY MONEY in good will to have a truck built that I waited a year for and was NEVER even ordered. On top of that Stephen said it should take 7-10 business days to get my money back. It's now July and the new sale manager Jason Katz has done NOTHING to get my money back to me and can't even reply to an email. PITIFUL! LaBelle Ford had an Escape my husband liked and wanted to purchase. Wish we had reviewed comments from previous customers as learned the hard way they are the usual customer-oriented Ford dealership. No customer comfortable waiting area, it is dated, dirty and hot. Salesman did not communicate our requests to their financial person, so we were not offered Ford financing or extended warranty. Left with such a bad deal after a ridiculously long wait (high interest rate), we refinanced at our credit union the next day. Their recommended extended warranty company, Fidelity Warranty Services took over 6 weeks to refund our money and were so difficult to deal with I filed a complaint with the BBB. RUNN out of this dealership don't walk this place is full of junk cars. Long story short i find a used Mazda Cx-5 for $15,500 with 60,000 miles, so i call the dealership to see if the car is still available and they say yes. I drive 2 and half hours across state to test drive the car and inspect it, the car needs new tires and brakes and when I confront the general manager about this he says his maintenance department claims "the tires passed with flying colors". BUYER BEWARE. If I could give this place a zero star I would. I was one of the people that looked past the reviews because this car I loved was listed for a wonderful price, they also told me that the car was in mint condition. So I took their word and trusted them, the process of getting the car was fine even though I had to drive 3 hours. They had an entire day prior(all day Thursday) to clean the car which they stated they would but when I got there on Friday (remind you after a 3 hour car ride) I waited an outrageous amount of time because they said they needed to "clean it again" which come to find out the car was disgusting, never looked washed at all and they tried to cover up dog hair with spray paint! Here's the bigger problems though, I was driving the car back and noticed there was a huge dent in my roof and half the antenna was missing. I looked back at the pictures they sent me before I picked up the car and it had the piece that was missing but no top piece of the antenna. Next, I looked at where it was listed (CarFax) and the whole antenna was still there! They were fiddling with it. 3 days later the check engine light came on!! When driving it off the lot I thought they might've turned it off because when all the lights light up when you turn the car on the check engine light did not. Anyway, we tried to get it looked at but nobody could read it. We had to go to Ford. There was a leak in the purge valve. We messaged them the day we got the car about the dent and the antenna issue and they said they'd fix it but since another issue came up that happened obviously not by us because we've barley had the car and haven't been driving it since it's sitting at a ford dealership, we asked if they would fix the check engine light as well. We've been waiting forever for them to get back to us and my car is waiting at ford for them to send the money and fix AT LEAST the dent and antenna problem like they said they would, but they won't!! Now they're coming back on their word and won't pay us for something they said they would. The owner and service manager are trying to say now so they don't have to pay us is the car is an "AS IS" car meanwhile, Jason a sales manager that had been helping us as well as Yanel had mentioned an issue with the window which was fixed before we got the car and also mentioned he'd help us with any problems we run into with the car and they'd be willing to help. Check engine light has come on again!! Apparently there was a big crack under my car(the fuel vapour canister). More and more problems with this car keep coming and I haven't even been able to drive my car at all since I got it. Also! Temp tag is almost expired, NO tag and NO registration! We finally got the tag and registration three days before the temp tag expired. I can't make up how horrible this place is. Horrible costumer service, HORRIBLE service in general. Once this is all over I will never speak of Labelle Ford AGAIN! An apology won't do for how much stress, frustration, and time wasted we spent on a place that won't even help us like they said they would. Going to reach out to Ford corporate to speak about this Ford and their dealings as well as the attorney general office in Florida to file a complaint with the FTC (federal trade commission) because this is the most shady dealership and they're liars! read more

Labelle Ford is one of the biggest disappointments of a dealer I have been to. Very deserving of the rating it has received. I first came across a 2014 Ford F-150 for sale on AutoTrader and the dealer web site, listed just around $26,000 and with only 44,000 miles. It was a regular cab 4x4 with a short bed, the smallest configuration F-150 Ford makes. This particular vehicle was just under $40,000 when new. After attempting to send availability requests and information requests to this dealer 3 times over a period of a week without follow up, I made the call the morning before driving around 2 hours to see it. I spoke with a nice woman who let me know the truck was definitely available. She then asked what price I'd seen it for, and I gave the AutoTrader and Internet Sales price. She asked the normal questions of whether I would be trading in a vehicle and how I planned to pay for the vehicle. I explained that the value of my car to sell on my own is much more than they would provide me, and that they could try, but likely I would not be trading in my vehicle. The next thing I heard was at first unsurprising with the way dealers are, but still frustrating nonetheless: "If you aren't trading in a vehicle, we will have to bump the price up $1,000-2,000, and the same will go with financing if you choose to provide your own." I explained that this is ridiculous and that I thought their internet price was still slightly above retail, but would consider it around that listed price. I was assured the numbers would be worked up and sent over in a few minutes, but these were never received. I waited 4 hours and decided to go ahead and make the drive down to talk about the vehicle and see it in person, and was happy with the vehicle condition. It appeared to have sat outside for a while on the lot, and someone had clearly driven it and gotten bug splatter all over the front, but not washed it. I was fine with the idea of having it detailed after purchase, as I would need to drive on the interstate to bring it home. I asked to drive it, and was given a plate to go on my own. The vehicle fuel tank was bone dry, having less than 10 miles to empty. "You're fine! See you soon!" was all I got back as I brought this up. During the test drive, the vehicle clearly was on the verge of running out of fuel, but I was able to get enough of an idea to see I like the truck. Upon arriving back, I was invited into an office that smelled like the Marlboro mans armpit, and given some papers to look over. The saleswoman apologized for not getting the information to me earlier as promised, but explained that good news was that they were willing to accept the price advertised for the truck! I said "Great! We are very close but I feel there may be a little more to negotiate." I was handed a buyers proposal, stating a discount of $3,694 from some undisclosed and newly created price to reduce the vehicle to its advertised price. The salesperson points at a section of the page called "Fees" amounting to $1312.29 and says "These are fees required by the state so I have no control over that." before I said anything. After being handed a breakdown of these fees, nearly $900 is the pure-profit dealer fee common at large chain franchise dealerships. In addition, an "Accessories" charge of $2,284 was slapped on, and upon my asking was given the following response: "That's the cost of reconditioning and cleaning, window tint and other free services." Isn't that supposed to be included in the price of a USED vehicle? A truck in great shape with 44,000 miles does not need much, if any, maintenance or reconditioning. The vehicle was filthy and the front covered in bugs. The tank was empty. And to top this off, the windows were previously tinted by another owner and had stickers from this service on the vehicle to show it was already done. When I objected to these fees, I was told was that the saleswoman had no control over these fees and that they are determined by the service department and the state. Excuse and passing the blame at every question. The total price for the car after everything was $6,000 more than the original price, because I was fortunate to save $2,000 by agreeing to use their finance! What a steal! All of this which is absolutely disgusting for a dealer to attempt to take advantage of people with. The saleswoman asked what I wanted to pay, and I stated I would be a customer right then without the added nonsense aside from tax, tag, and titling fees, and was immediately told no. I stated it's not fair to me to have to pay for things that should be included in the price, and was told "We have to make money somehow." An absolute waste of my time and effort, and deserving of an abysmal rating. This dealer is blatantly willing to charge $8,000 of empty markups and fees to anyone who doesn't know better. Please don't go here for a purchase. Everything was misrepresented. Everyone avoids taking any responsibility ("I'll have to talk with my Manager"). Even the GM pulled that one,saying I can't make that decision. The owner of the dealership would have to, and he's difficult to deal with. I've been brought in to turn things around but there's only one other guy who understands. We were promised multiple things when we agreed on price and purchase. Only one item was done. We were told so many lies by so many people and most were unnecessary - wouldn't have affected our decision. We did end up with a great truck, but not because of anything anyone here did. We were charged $1500 to 'recondition' the vehicle and it wasn't even cleaned (trash and food crmbs still under the seats!). So a little bit ago I went to Labelle Ford to buy a used Truck. Told the salesman my range I wanted to stay in and he immediately started trying to sell me vehicles beyond that. That wasn't as annoying as when I pointed out a Ford explorer I wanted to look at, the guy told me "oh the transmission is out in that one" which like thank you for telling me but why is it there. Anyways finally decided on this Ram 1500 2017, was almost about to sign the paper when they moved the truck to wash it, there was a big noticeable oil puddle left where the truck was resting. Got it looked at and turns out IF I was to buy it that night, it would have cost me several thousands of dollars. After that, the salesman try to sell me a new car and I told him I would be looking elsewhere. I made an appointment for my 2021 F250 to get an oil change, have 3 safety recalls fixed and to investigate a severe rattle from the back of the cab. They had the truck all day and said it would not be ready to be picked up until the next day. And then at 8.30am that same next day the truck was suddenly ready. When we asked about the rattle they said they didn't know about it. I can't believe that. The Service Advisor was verbally informed when I made the appointment, secondly all service requirements were written on the drop off envelope I left the key in, and thirdly inside the envelope was a separate sheet of paper with everything written on. So three separate requests for service. When we asked for the rattle to be investigated later that day, the reply was that the truck was all done and they were not doing anything else. "Too bad, come and get your truck". When I picked up the truck, which was after hours, the invoice showed no result for one of the three safety recalls, so that was a second request that they just ignored. Now I have to go to Sam Galloway in Fort Myers to get these dealt with. This was my first experience with Labelle Ford and I will never go there again. In addition to the terrible service and lack of communication, the premises look like cattle sheds on rough ground with bad signage. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. We purchased a used 2015 Jeep Rubicon. We felt we were getting a good deal. They mentioned the extended warranty no less than 10 times and we assumed it was just an attempt to upsell. We did not take warranty. Had the vehicle for 5 days, drove less than 100 miles and check engine light came on. Took it in for service at another dealer and the bill was $6300. They should have either fixed the issue before selling or disclosed that it needed work and in my opinion just a shady way of doing business. The warranty company should know that they are pushing warranty purchases to fix issues with the vehicles that the dealer doesn't want to fix. This was 5th vehicle purchased from Plattners over the years and unfortunately they have lost us as lifelong customers and we will tell everyone we know not to go there. read more

Drove there today to look at a truck I saw advertised on their website. I can kick myself for not steering clear as warned with all the negative ratings. Yep, got there and the truck I went to see didn't exist. The sales guy said the website made a mistake. Then I mentioned it would be a cash buy and was shocked to hear about a $2000 added fee on top of sales price since I wasn't financing or trading in another vehicle. I thought cash was king. Here is my experience with Labelle Ford. For two weeks I have been watching the dealers website looking at their trucks and decided to take a trip to look at a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 long horn with 68k miles. At first i was skeptical because the picture displayed was from the dodge website. When I did arrive I was able to look over the truck which I will agree was very nice and in very great condition. On the webpage they had it listed for little less then 18k so being me when I arrived and did my research i asked them what the price was. The saleman told me around 19 to 20k. I decided to take it for a test drive and was impressed at the condition it was in but the vehicle had a cigar smell and been smoked in so i did comment on such. After we arrived back from the test drive I asked for a bottom line cash price on the truck. I figured I would not get the trade assist or the finance assist but asked mainly cause I like to know who I am dealing with. The sales person returned after speaking to his manager and gave me a price of 24k for the truck. Not happy at all. Today, I went and spoke with a salesperson on the lot. Was informed, verbally, that the used vehicle that I was looking at was $9,000 and would be $10,000 "Out the Door." I went back to get my husband, returned to the dealership. As my husband was taking care of something else and was sure that I would be fine, as the price was agreed upon already, he left and would return later. The manager informed me that the salesperson should never have quoted me a price and that the vehicle was now $17,000. A 2008 Ford Edge on the website for $9,988 would have almost $7,000 worth of Tax, Title and random fees. He saw a woman alone and planned to take me to the cleaners. Didn't work. Shove your car. Where to start?! After weeks of searching and searching, I located a pickup truck I was finally ready to pull the trigger on, a 2017 Ford F-250 advertised by Labelle Ford. I called the main number and asked to speak to a senior sales person. To my surprise, I was forwarded to the store "GM", Jason. Jason seemed helpful and responsive initially. I informed him of the vehicle I was interested in and relayed that I would pick the vehicle up Saturday January 30th, due to me having to work all week. I initially contacted Jason on Tuesday, January 26th. I asked Jason what the bottom price for the vehicle was and his reply was the listed price. Well, to my surprise, the vehicles price was lowered 2 days later by almost 2k. I thought it was too good to be true so I called Jason and told him I would pick the vehicle up that day. I had him run my credit and start the process. After hours of waiting for a response I reached out and inquired If he needed anything else from me. At that point, after running my credit, Jason decides to tell me that his "GSM" was working on selling the vehicle.... needless to say I do not recommend this dealership nor do I think Jason manages Labelle Ford how a true professional should.
